Danni & Joe
So glad to see a wonderful new couple starting out with Narrowboat videos. Joe, you are one lucky guy... To be young, and have a beautiful woman such as Danni, to share your adventures with. I'm looking forward to your videos as you progress into narrowboating.
My wife and I walked past your boat today, looking good guys! 😀👍
Hi Danni & Joe just started watching your narrowboat vlogs & thoroughly enjoying them. I don't normally comment on vlogs but thought I'd mention a couple of things. We have a fixed, 4ft bed on our narrowboat which was ok but a bit snug. Hubby attached 4 folding brackets along the side & then attached an 8 inch wide piece of wood, it's actually a windowsill. We then had made a 4ft srung mattress with a zipped on 8 inch extension. During the day the extension is lowered & the mattress extension folds over to on top of the mattress that then the whole mattress slides back against the wall with the extension going up under the gunnell. We actually tried it out for the first time on Tuesday & it was really comfy & the extra 8 inches made a huge difference. As you'll be making your bed from scratch it might be worth you taking a look at 'Winging it! Boating on a budget' vlog as they did an extendable bed using the slat method, popular on hire boats. On one of 'England by Narrowboat' vlogs he did a short section on knots to use which I found really helpful.
Thanks for posting. Arnica is good for bruises. Hope your leg is feeling better now.
I am glad I ran across your site, am bing watching to get up to date with y’all. Oh I am from outside New Orleans, La. and yes Southern Born and Breed. Although I sided with the North in the Cilvil War. Just wanted to get that out! But everything else about me is VERY SOUTHERN! That out of the way, I like that y’all don’t come off as, “We are experts” and this is a “How to Do it” video! 😅😂🤣🤣🥲😎. But you have stated that y’all are new to boating and this is a very new adventure/project! And I applaud y’all for not being scared to take on a project of this magnitude. But at the same time you are not completely ignorant of certain skills that one would have to be a big step forward and not having to redo things over and over because of having NOT a CLUE of what y’all are doing. Oh there is a very simple and faster way to tying your boat off. Find a site that teaches you how to tie MARINE knots, will be a big help for y’all! And I like how y’all have taken to your local wildlife. Also don’t know if you have though about it. Mainly because I haven’t seen all of your videos! But a solar system and or a generator, or a gas or diesel generator. I would have both because to more redundant/ back up systems you have the more you will avoid the nightmares and aggravation that you WILL have to deal with when a system goes down. The same with water system, heating and cooling. And yes you will need a air conditioner of some type. And battery charging system……Oh FIRST AID ⛑ Your wife being the medical field should be able to put a logical one without buying one someone else put together put things not needed and put things in not needed. And mostly “OVER PRICED”
The Narrowboat that James built recommended following you and he was right. You two are a great watch ❤️❤️
Great video guys, thought the longer version was more interesting, thanks for sharing again.
Ouch! Huge bruise, hope you are ok now. So many things you need to learn, you'll get there 👍
Glad you opted to screw down the boards, better option than nailing.
Hi guys. Enjoyed your vlog. Ive got a double pocket sprung mattress on my boat. I got mine through the doors at the front bow of the boat ok. The best way to tie you boat up is what they call spring mooring it. Where you tie up to the pin and then run your rope back to the middle of your boat to a 2nd pin. Its good for when boats go past you to fast and pull out your pins and stops your boat rocking and banging to much when a boat goes past. Theres videos on you tube to see how its done. Hope that helps. I wouldnt advise tying up using your centre line incase of any floods it can pull your boat sideways 😊
Great vlog. So talented. Id have no idea where to start. Good taste in coffee btw ! Love your adventure.
Loving your funky ropes. We have a 4 foot wide bed which extends to 5 foot wide. The mattress is o 2 parts, one 4 foot and one 1 foot which zip together to make one mattress which folds. This gives a nice wide bed when extended, but allows easy access at other times. My son lives on a boat at Devizes and has an extending bed from Ikea.
You must be pulling our leg with those tie knots on the bollard. Like the bed part of the video. That is a huge project you tow are undertaking.
Very entertaining vlog guys. Good looking hair cut Joe and Danni's work gear is, what can I say, colourful. 🤣🤣🤣
Wow so cool vlog guy. The vibes is real🔥🔥👍🏻
interesting on the veins up in the hand. My GP told me ( many many years ago ) that was an indication of high blood pressure. I have never heard that it could mean being dehydrated. Loving the vlogs.

I have a small double that allows easy passage while not having to slide a bed in and out to make it and the Boatman's back cabin has a 36 inch width drop down bed for the hardcore boater! Lol 😆
good vid stay safe
Half hitch on the cleat!
