Mr Suou aka Tamaki dad is Japanese and first met Tamaki mom( is French) in French.After that, they fell in love and had Tamaki before they got marry. Unluckily, Mr.Suou is married that time too, his wife was choose by Tamaki grandma. So that Mr.Suou needed to go back to Japan and Tamaki lived with mom for many years.
Tamaki's ridiculous, yes, but he's also quite possibly the most wonderful, genuine person I've ever heard of. He honestly thinks well of people, and he's got a good heart. Still not attractive though, romantically. Kyouya is sexy. Tamaki is silly. Just can't see it any other way.
Listening to Tamaki say "MON AMI, MON AMI, YAHOO!" makes me fall in love with the French language again. I was big into French when I was a kid, & now I'm like all Japanese. But dang, does he make it hard not to remember how much I love French too
Kyoya paints himself as a flower caged inside the 4 corners of the frame. It means he had lived his life bound by the principles and constraints of his own family virtues that it had never given him any chance to grow beyond those four corners that keep him which is what Tamaki had noticed since he realized that Kyoya was hiding his true self and putting up a perfect mask that fits the ideals of what was expected of the son of the Ootori family. When he met Tamaki, he later on grown to realize that he can bloom even further and that he is not really just bound to stay forever within those four corners like he had believed since he was young hence which I also agree that Tamaki was like his muse or rather his gateway to open himself up and grow even further than just being the third son of the Ootori family.

I've watched this in English so many times, I even have it on DVD... But why does it seem so much cuter in Japanese than in English? The drawings are the same but they look cuter and the Japanese voice acting is surprisingly better than I thought! (I didn't bother watching the JPN version after I found out it had already been dubbed!)
