Well, if you'd remove something like 90% of the runtime, namely all the superfluous medical drama stuff, it'd be up there with the truly great series, The Wire, Sopranos and so on. But the sheer amount of pure filler pulls everything else down.

When HOUSE was on the air there was nothing like the show and in the last 10 yrs since it ended,then there still is no medical show that comes close to this brilliant & emotional show ! I feel like since the creators of HOUSE didn't want to pay(Cuddy)Lisa Edelstein what she wanted salary wise,that's what started the end of the show.If they would've met her contract demands,then who knows how much longer the show would've lasted ? Also i thought that there was another network that was interested in getting the show back on the air ? In the last episode,then it showed basically that CHASE would've taken HOUSE'S place being that he now had his own office. How would've that worked if CHASE took over ? Would people still watch and would it basically be the same as HOUSE ? I always felt that they could've kept making some new episodes of the show,but without CUDDY & WILSON,then what would the show have been like going forward ?

During the last season they had to cut everyone’s budgets to save money, and I think even in the developing in the last season they didn’t know whether or not it would be the last, so they had to plan for both. Overall glad with what they managed though!

Wilson convincing Cuddy to lie to House about the Addison's patient is why he still has leg pain and a limp. House calling WIlson to come get him and refusing to get in a car with Amber is the reason why Wilson's girlfriend is dead. So... yeah, I guess that's fair.
