"All-in" is a quintessential House episode. It has ALL the earmarks of House's personality, his use/abuse of his team, his dynamic with Wilson, his penchant for walking ALL OVER Cuddy, his disdain for the parents of a patient, his obsessiveness and in the end, his need to know that he has some unique value in this world that makes him worthy of validation and attention despite his many shortcomings.
It captures the thematic elements of the entire show (at least Seasons 1-3). House and his ab/use of his team of 3; House steamrolling Cuddy; House relying up Wilson; House's kinda of sort of but not really "thing" for Cameron; Chase's playboy quality; House's obsessiveness; Houses need to be right because that ALONE makes him feel like despite his abrasiveness, his curtness, his scornful tone people STILL HAVE TO LISTEN TO HIM.

One of my favorite episodes in the whole series. It taught me something so subtle about tests. We trust test outcomes so blindly. But even if the process is done perfectly, the time and place of it might still be wrong, and that can send us down a very wrong alley.
