Hi! Thanks for the review. Qucik rules clarification. Gawain’s cards goto the next trick “loser”. So if he loses again woth deception he takes the forst tricks damage and the next trick stays out. Conceptually its about granting people a different trick taking experience, where those most hurt get the most buffs and those buffs are to the point of sometimes people wanting to change their strategy to not be in the lead all the time to either get spme godsend cards or not be a target. Think a game a strtegy gamer can play woth their kid and casual friends and everyone can play to their potential and all have fun. So that was the goal, for what it is worth.
Pretty cool, especially because of the Arthurian legend theme, and the way you play it seems pretty simple. Maybe I’ll look into it. I really like this video series, keep it up.
Have you played Wizard? It's a pretty neat trick-taking game. 3-6 players, make bets on your tricks for points, start with one card each in first hand, next hand is two each, then three, until the whole deck is dealt out. Ace high, four Wizard wildcards that beat everything else, even other Wizards played later in the trick
damn I wanna buy this... I think the chaotic element wouldn't be so bad if you play it with that in mind specifically, like you just want to have a weird fun experience with some friends. it'd be cool to own one of those games that's like really bonkers so you can have some variety. (I don't have a lot of games lmao)
I can’t believe Sam from dice Tower raved about this game. What a great review. Pointing out the huge flaws of this trick taking game. I think you were overly generous.
Thanks for these reviews. I've found a lot of games I actually enjoy cause of you

Those cards are bigger than standard poker size, right?

Why not just play without the OP cards? Or nerf them yourself.
