Lori- many times I’ve changed patterns with 2x2 rib to 1x1 so I can do a regular tubular bind off. It works out great. Be a rebel and don’t follow the pattern rib instructions! Rip back and do a 1x1 rib.
Lori, for your Sheep Camp sweater you could totally do an invisible sewn bind off for 2x2 rib rather than a tubular bind off. It looks exactly the same as a tubular, but doesn’t require you to reorder your stitches. It’s the only bind off I use for all my sweater hems and sleeve cuffs and it’s perfection.

I ended up loving it so much that I went to the very beginning and watched all the others I'd missed.
