After his retirement, he served as a Corrections Officer for the Knox County Sheriff's Department in my hometown. Sadly, he passed away today. R.I.P., Archie Gouldie AKA Mongolian Stomper.

If you could make it in Memphis wrestling. You can make it anywhere. I respect Hulk Hogan even more.

I give Hulk Hogan major props. Many thought Hogan was only Florida,AWA and WWF and I do remember a comment Bill Watts said about Hogan years ago.He said Hogan wouldn't last 5 minutes in the Mid South. From seeing this Hogan has competed with the very best on all levels..

Never saw or knew Archie Gouldie / Mongolian Stomper growing up (in my territory) but holy hell, I can see exactly why he would have been a huge sell in the day. Great credibility, great sell.

The leg drop was just another move at this point. He hits it perfectly here, but Stomper just rolls out of the ring. Amazing how it rendered his WWF opponents helpless.

The leg drop is nothing without the boot to the face which is nothing without the "Hulk-out". And the Hulk-out is nothing without the prayers and vitamins.

According to several magazines, Gouldie maintained his shape by riding his bicycle almost everywhere he went, sometimes riding up to 60 miles a day.

The Mongolian Stomper, one of the greatest wrestlers to ever come out of Canada. I have seen interviews with Bret Hart and he put over Archie as the best Canadian wrestler ever. Hart was terrified of him when he was because the threatened to drag his mom out of the Hart house and pile drive her on the highway. Hell, I would have been terrified of the Stomper too.

@Inediblehulk He talked in Calgary after he turn face after Bad News beat up him and his son. Very intense interview. Of course the Alberta Atheltic commission thought the beat down and threatining of an old man by Bad News was too much so they banned Hart from running shows in Alberta which cost him dearly. They had to run in Indian reservations and the feud petered out.

look not to say mcmahon ruined hogan because look what happened but there was a lot more to hogan when he was a leaner brute than a jacked up inflexible behemoth.
