  • “Why?” It’s a question we get asked more than you would think. “What is it about an arrowhead that fascinates you so much?” Some folks just don’t understand what drives us. Maybe this can help explain it….a little.

GREAT VIDEO! You nailed it - it's that feeling when you first wrap your hand around an ancient spearpoint, and know that you are the first person to touch it in five thousand years. It's like reaching across fifty centuries of time to clasp hands with those who came before us!

I can't think of a better way to say it than what you said it.
Found my first one back in 69. Wasn't even looking. But that's all it took to get a 10 year old boy started in a hobby that would last him the rest of his life.
I've definitely slowed down with age and heart problems but I pray every year that I have another year for looking in me.
Love your videos. BEST HOBBY IN THE WORLD !

@@HeartbreakerRelics Thanks. I've found a couple local local fields and found a few. I've searched a few other fields and found nothing. I pretty timid about knocking on doors asking who owns fields that I see. There isn't much plowed farmland here--mostly apple orchards.

Spike, those that have never spent countless hours walking plowed fields in the relentless pursuit of just one more piece of archaic history can’t appreciate the jump your heart feels when you pick up that perfect artifact. There’s nothing like picking up a piece of stone that some human reconfigured 500-12,000 years ago into what was to them a very utilitarian item. Keep in mind that all artifacts, such as we seek, were purpose driven endeavors. These items were rarely made just to look at or just for fun. It’s a fascinating hobby /passion and I thank you and your Heartbreaker and Pinebelt compadres for sharing your recoveries with the world and your fans.
Blessings and successful hunting to all of you !

.Excellent narrative friends. There are things we do because it is our job from which we support ourselves, others because we love our loved ones and we look for arrowheads and other artifacts because we are passionate about that emotion of finding them on the plain, in the cave or on the shores of the sea. Because it raises hundreds of questions that we will never answer with certainty. We look for tipes de lechas because our soul and spirit are nourished by enormous peace and energy when doing something that we are passionate about. When you do something you love and it moves every fiber of your body, you continue to make friends. Blessings for all.

We do it for the challenge, excitement, and wonderment of finding a little piece of ancient history. Same reason so many people share in that popular sport called FISHING. You never know what will gulp up your bait offering. You feel it tugging or shaking it's head, you set the hook and reel it in. Who doesn't love getting a present? Every Indian artifact and every fish is a new present.

@@HeartbreakerRelics you wont believe this after you guys reading my post yesterday!
So last night i went on my routine power walk "3 to 5" miles.
I walk about .7 miles down my drive way to one of my hay/pasture fields. This one is only ten acres. I walk the perimiter road 2 to 3 times then back to the house. I go on this walk every other day. Have been walking this route for around a year, same path every other day i leave the house between 9 and 10 pm.
So last night im finishing my second loop around the pasture kinda day dreaming at night. I walk pretty fast. I noticed a tiny piece of yellowish rock poking out of the dirt ,but i keep on walking in about ten steps i think maybe that was something so i turn around go back, knel down and did it out. Sure glad i went back. What is this?
