Dale, Many thanks for showing us some of your finds from over the years. I really enjoyed seeing them. And just remember , truth is not brag, its just fact ! Its okay to have pride in your finds. And kind you to share them with us !
Its amazing to pick something up, 5000 years old that probably was never touched only by the person that made it. That is really mind blowing and humbing.
Thanks Randy, I really have not given the respect, and if showing some of them off is what folks want I may do some more. It's all a tribute to the folks who made and needed them.
.You have several excellent pieces my friend, axes, some monsters as you call them, great diversity. Before I showed my collection to everyone who came to my house, when I started to notice that I was missing some pieces, I never showed them again, people have no respect for other people's things. Greetings and blessings to my friend.
It's truly sad, and I've gotten extremely protective of these after losing so many. I've even taken these elsewhere now because I freely share where my business is. As always, thanks for your input!
Very cool collection Dale, I was going to suggest a curio cabinet but I don't know if it's worth the security needed to stop scumbags from breaking in. I'd love to see what else you have especially the stuff in the safe.
I think some people are heart broken over a find because they hold to high expectations of finding a perfect or valuable $$ point. One of these days I will have to come and partake of a meal and enjoy some more of your artifact lore. Question, is hematite a local rock of Missouri or was it traded for?
As always, thanks Thomas. I swear I'm calling you some day. The hematite is native to the state, although I don't know the specifics. I used to think it was exclusive to the south, but recently I've found more and more raw stuff locally. Always learning.
