    Just watched your video on the huge Silverado & saw where you got the ratio from. Like the fact that you put these videos out to help people out👍🏼👍🏼

    This is too funny. I was just about to look into how to dilute some chemicals and this video pops up. Great timing. 👍

    You are absolutely right when making the calculations and I have the Carpro 16 & 32 ounce mixing bottles which make it super easy.

    I purchased a turkey baster from the dollar store with measurements on the side they fit right into gallon jugs extract what you need done. Thanks Phil always have a trick up your sleeve.👍🏻👍🏻🇨🇦

    Here's me thinking 1:10 was 1 part chemical and 9 parts water 🤔

    It's as easy as pie. I normally round up or down all the time and haven't had any issues. Great video!!! Loving this new channel.

    Those bottles remind me of AM Detail ones. I prefer them as well as the possibility of falling is minimal.

      Yes! Very similar. I love them. I wonder if they make 32oz versions this same shape and style. I just like the look and fee of these. I need to research now. 🤓

      True! I do have one of those also. What do you measure in oz, grams, etc? If measuring soaps or anything more dense than water it can throw off the ratios, for most chemicals that are the same density as water it’s fine. But how would one measure out fluid weight in oz with two different density liquids?

    • @deshizle
      @deshizle 3 роки тому +1

      @@thedetailingworkshop2689 I usually measure in oz. and I normally just filled accordingly to required parts. I never have issues even though chemicals and water all have different density.

    I use 2 inch blue or green painters tape to label my bottles. Easy to rip off after use and re label again

    I use an App called DilutingCalc.
    You choose the ratio and it will give the amount (water/product) needed based on quantity of water, product or final quantity you want.
    Really simple and clear, helped me a lot when I started diluting products.
    Only problem for you guys in the US, doesn’t show units in oz...

      I just keep a picture or write down the ratios for the most common amounts needed, and do it that way, doing a 16onz or 20 onz refill just before running out

    What about crazy high dilutions like adg wipeout or fusion where it says 256:1 or 128:1?

    • @thedetailingworkshop2689
      @thedetailingworkshop2689  3 роки тому +1

      I don't worry about getting Rinseless products perfectly diluted. In a 32oz bottle I will mix about .5-1oz for a glass cleaner, for clay lube or rinseless wash/detailer I Just mix 2oz in 32oz bottle. Still super high ratio and works great.

    • @SomeMadRandomPerson
      @SomeMadRandomPerson 2 роки тому +1

      If ur wanting a 256:1 with say for example OnR then just using the cap on the bottle of OnR is half and ounce, so put a capful into a gallon of water, there u have ur 256:1 ratio 👍🏻

  • @timblackwell3196

    Have you considered mixing in a large recycled container your cleaners to fill the spray bottles?

    • @thedetailingworkshop2689
      @thedetailingworkshop2689  3 роки тому +2

      Hi. Actually I used to dilute most of my chemicals in gallon jugs to use for my trailer. That way they would be pre-mixed and ready to go so I can just pour them into my 32 ounce bottles. So yeah it would be cool if you could get 5 gallon jugs and pre-dilute different cleaners so that you can just fill them up on tap! 😎👍🏼

    So the 5-1 is really 6?
    I usually use the 32 ounce bottles and mix everything in those from gallons it’s very hard 10-1 sometimes 5-1 this video helped so the 2.9 ounce for 10-1 how about for 5-1

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing 3 роки тому +3

      Yes for each ratio whether it’s 10:1 or 5:1 or 2:1 just add the numbers together and divide by the bottle size that you are mixing in. So 5:1 is 6, then divide 32 by 6 is 5.3, so just round to 5oz

      @@MirandaDetailing what if you are doing a 5-1 dilution of soap in a foam cannon with 1000ML
      ML instead of ounces ? Would it be different

    • @thedetailingworkshop2689
      @thedetailingworkshop2689  2 роки тому +2

    Man, was just thinking about this! I used to know a similar formula from chemistry class in high school, but long since forgotten. If I am trying a new product and I want something more acidic or basic, I just whip out the litmus paper kit and test. Works. Every. Time. It also helps with adjusting dilution ratios with the water quality you're using at home as well.
