    As I have said before your layout is one of the best out there so how you paint things does not matter as long as you get a good result and you certainly have,
    Always use what you are happy with not what others tell you, Advice is good as long as its not forced upon one.
    Some like me use airbrushes because that's what we are comfortable using and a brush too on tricky places using a brush on its own can and does give the same effects depending on how skilled you are with it and I would say you are plenty skilled enough for brush alone better than I could do that's for sure and I bet many other model builder's to plus your cool approach to teaching is splendid and interesting your a natural to the camera all the best John from rugby.

      How very kind of you to say so John, I've always modeled what I want and tell others to do the same. Hopfully turns out for the best! Failing that we can leave bits on the cutting room floor Haha.
      Thanks
      Richard

    Coming along nicely. I don't worry too much about the position of soldered wires as you can always disguise them, as you've done, with ballast, paint, etc. Cheers

    Richard thank you, that is excellent, and your 100% right little details like rubbish make a scene.
    I think the cable drums need a bit of weathering that's my only thought, the red of the buffers does add so much colour too with the scene being what it is it was a little dark, but that really helps.

    Nice update and a good series overall there Richard...
    A way to solder the droppers especially for sidings... which you might find easier is to do it at or very near the end... makes it easier to hide/disguise them with buffer stops etc that way. hope that helps... Pete.

    • @NewJunction
      @NewJunction  5 років тому +1

      Thanks Pete, I've done that in the station sidings believe it or not.

    • @Petes.Hobbies
      @Petes.Hobbies 5 років тому

      @@NewJunction, I meant you can solder the droppers to the inside of the rails, if you can't solder them, or get to the underside of the rails... very handy if the track has already been fitted.
      As locos and rolling stock won't be effected as the buffer stop is there... and they can be hidden alot easier with ballast and the buffer stop being placed over the top... plus theres always abit of grass/weeds growing up around a buffer stop too usually!

    As I have just seen in another comment, I too, think the cable drums look too new to be abounded. I am old school as you probably know. The buffers i think would look better with the legs painted black and just the beam across the front painted red, but what do I know about modern railways? Nothing. I been in Thailand for 15 years. But at the end of the day it is what you want and not what somebody else does that counts. I have enjoyed the series. Many thanks.
