- In this episode at the modern image 00 gauge layout New Junction, We continue the progress on the Station area in this new mini build series and also tackle the Canopy & ground work.

Long, long ago in the ancient mists of time (somewhere around 1963) I inserted a bit of disused railway into my layout but in those far off days all I did was take the rails out of the plastic sleepers and distress it a touch. "Oh Dr. Beeching, what have you done ..?"

On a serious note, great to see the station develop & I really like the fact that you are adding in those little areas of “what used to be there” I myself have a few ideas on line side dereliction which I’m hoping to incorporate into my own slowly developing OO Guage layout, just need that full time assistant 🤔😁

Looking great. I like the idea of the disused platform with the track removed. I wonder if you could put in an abandoned signal box along there somewhere as another hint of days gone by?

Birthday's are unofficial public holidays and should be allowed, but not paid for, unless invited. The canopy is starting to look ok, but I wonder what you are going to do with the joins in the plastic. It is all good fun and I hope what is in the head works out. Martin (Thailand)

Looking good! Not sure if youve thought of it but the gap between the section of roof you could put some walk ways up there as some station have them for access may have to kit bash them in some way but great video, also send richard home he needs to carry on with his updates waitingto see his next video 😆

You can get transparencies which are printable in a ink jet printer. So you could print the glazing and stick that on.

have you tried putting the plastic sheets in some warm water. just makes them a little more flexible so you can almost pre mold them into a more curved shape.
scrap that, I just got to the hair drier part hahaha.

Great sound effects and cameo appearance by Everard! Curious as to whether or not u intend to cut any overlapping acylic sheets to align them, or if u will keep them overlapping. If u cut them, I’d be grateful to see how u do it. Cheers!

The area you worked on in this video, the points that lead into the left side of the station, is it 2wye points attached to a # 5 right hand point?

Quick question Richard the Bachmann class 170 21 pin or 8pin decoder I'm getting one today sh and the guy who is selling it is a DC modeler
Would you ever consider extending the table your layout is on to add another platform on the left of the station?

just a thought why not scan one of those gray roof sheets into you computer and print directly onto the Acetate sheets, might save you time and money
