Thanks, I love my M1 Carbine, a June '44 Inland in the 5.2Million range. I was surprised you didn't show cleaning the dirtiest part of the rifle--the gas piston. Of course, to do that one needs the special three lobed wrench, a worthwhile purchase. I picked up a surplus one at a show years ago for under $10. Fulton makes a nice one too.
Good video, everything about the dis- and reassembly is shown very well. I hoped that you would say a few things about cleaning the barrel and in particular about how to clean up the gas port, because that's kind of the weak spot of the weapon. If the gas port gets too dirty, it leads to problems of cycling the action. Extraction failures start to happen, so it might be very useful if you could show how you clean that area.
Another interesting detail is that the.30 carbine cartridge is not hard on barrels so even a war return is likely to have a serviceable barrel, those loaned to other countries may have been subject to heavy wear.
I often wondered do they make a pistol in .30 carbine caliber, like a revolver with a long barrel. Just wondering....? I know it doesn't have a rimmed cartrage case.
failure to feed is almost always related to the magazine. Look at the magazine feed lips. See if they are bent or damaged. Failure to eject is most likely a weak extractor.
@@FlyingKSports Thank you for the input. I did replace the recoil and extractor springs, purchased 2 USGI magazines along with other “USGI mags”. Noticed two of the so called USGI have an open bolt stop follower. I am still having issues, but with the two other magazines shot 30 rounds without issues. Not sure if I should send to somewhere or shoot it more to see what happens.
I have a WW2 Quality Hardware( Spring Tube) with Underwood Barrel...too valuable to shoot anymore Feb 2024 purchased new Inland Carbine, found that M1 Carbine Ammo is getting scarce to buy. With several companies like Inland, Auto Ordance etc make M1 Carbine you would think Ammo would be more Available. Bought 4 box at $39 at Cabela's in Ohio. Hit Cabela's in other states no M1 Carbine Ammo

Thanks for the tip. I’ll look for that tool.
I watched another UT video. I think the man hadn't taken apart in fifty yr. Your video hit all the points he missed. Thanks !
Glad I could help. Thanks for watching.

I’ll maybe do a thorough cleaning video next. Thanks for the suggestions and thanks for watching.

Great point. Carbine velocities and pressures were never very hard on barrels. Thanks.
I struggled with getting the slide back on until i came to your video
Glad I could help. Thanks for watching.
You made it look easy. I'm about to disassemble mine. Thanks.
Good luck. Take your time. You can do it.
Neat video, thank you

Yes. Ruger has the Blackhawk chambered in .30 Carbine. Great revolver.
What are your recommendations to fix failure to feed, eject? Other than changing the springs and use USGI mag?

$40 a box is about as good as I’ve seen for 30 Carbine ammo. Like you said, it’s getting harder to find.
Ruger & TC made them in 30cal
You forgot to clean the cocking piston.
Good eye.
The cocking piston?
The original, laughs in Tommy gun
Great video but your intro music at the beginning of the video is awful.
Thanks. I’ll work on new music.
another vid with sound not checked before making! Always remember if we can't hear you its not worth watching Bro!
I had no problem hearing, you have to wear earplugs when you shoot guns U know!
