These one 2 ones each week with Simon Jordan is me going to my local psychiatrist explaining what should I do....
Really respect his opinion, he’s articulate and says the right things 👍
I don’t always agree with Simon, but he’s bloody great to watch, very interesting fella. Keep it up mate, top stuff.
He’s a muppet 🤣
The Saudi's are loved up here in the Toon along with Wor Mandy and the strip is just beautiful. If you look closely at the strip it has a map of the Toon centre embedded in it just in case the saudi's may get lost comming up from the Bigg Market. It wasen't that long ago we were stuck with WONGA on the first strip so its with thanks to our new chums that we wear there/our strip with pride.
aye mate I totally agree, Ashley gone, Sports direct gone, cockney maffia gone, wonga gone, Just need rid of Fun88 now and a new Saudi sponsor and we will be sorted!
And a new shirt manufacturer .. being well let down by current bunch
Thank you Simon for saying (as a man who has been in the boardroom) what I have said to people in conversations, the only factor in being given a job should be the applicants capability to do the job successfully, I am sick of race, gender, sexuality etc being used against people to try and leverage power in a position.
My question is quite a simple one. Would you ever consider owning another club, maybe lower league and try to bring the through the pyramid?
Thanks again for you time doing these one2ones.
As much as the Newcastle kit has the colours of Saudi Arabia it also has a map of Newcastle on it so it’s not like it has nothing to do with Newcastle
Other than Jim, who is you're favourite pundit to work with at talksport?
Ripping Trevor a new Ar**hole every week, so I reckon him 🤣
Natalie sawyer, have you seen her backside when she bends over? Some of the camera crew have had a go on her I heard
Jim's not a pundit, he's a broadcaster /host.
I would think it's Danny Murphy
@@lfcspectre4335 yeah me too, just wondered. He seems to agree with Danny Murphy a lot more than anyone else
I personally think the world of this man no bllsht just straight to the point and the truth great to listen to 👍
Simon, do you ever foresee a time in football's future when referees and linesmen are completely done away with, and all match decisions are officiated remotely by VAR, whose in-game decisions could be communicated to the players on the pitch via the big screen?
I would not be in favour of such a change personally, but sadly I think this is the direction things are heading in.
"Linesmen?" Knowing Talksport I'm surprised this comment hasn't been deleted
Hahah not a chance... even if it was all run by robots there would be a robot referee.
There's not just gonna be a whistle over the loud speaker, then the board reads "Arsenal direct free kick", tweet "Back up ball 4.6m"
Salary caps only work if every team has the same budget. 70% of revenue just further entrenches the top clubs, although it probably is better than current FFP rules.
Yeah but with the progressive taxation there would be more money taxed on the bugger clubs which can benefit lower clubs no?
Always got an issue 😂 love these 👍
Handled that Emma Hayes comment really well, I agree totally, it’s all about the talent etc. Interesting to hear about the US team getting beat. Seems it’s ‘sexist’ to state the obvious, handled properly 👏
Emma Hayes is as qualified to take over a PL team as a boys u14 coach is.
@@ziudra91 You must be high.... have you seen how many horrifically incompetent managers there have been in the PL? American Bob Bradley who Briefly managed Swansee is to PL Management what Simon Jordan was to PL Ownership..... Did you watch any of our matches w/ Lampard was in charge? The man's Strategy & Tactics are limited to 4 words - "Just score the ball!" - Emma Hayes would eviscerate these Donuts
@@jackzeldon2883 @Jack Zeldon The best women's teams holds the standard of a U14 boys team. Actually it's worse as U14 boys teams regularly beat the best women national teams.
I don't see people shouting for u14 coaches being appointed for pl jobs.
Emma Hayes needs to start in the Conference if anything or further down.
It was not an official match.
Stop twisting the narrative.
Worse male managers have gotten the job
I totally agree with your comments about salary caps, however will clubs like Man City go along with this? As a Newcastle supporter, it’s clear our club are refusing to pay silly wages, which is part of the reason we’re not doing a Spurs this summer. The other reason is the money invested off the pitch, bringing in Darren Eales, Dan Ashworth & upgrading the stadium/training facilities. Plus, due to EPL scrutiny, the owners are strictly keeping to FFP rules whilst refusing to pay the ‘Newcastle tax’ over transfers.
Love it as always SJ 👍🏻👍🏻
What are your thoughts on sisu at Coventry
Very interested to hear from you
I can confirm nobody has any idea what you are referring to so therefore Simon Jordan will not be answering your question
Thanks mate. Cracking insight into the financial side of footy.
Hey Simon, do you find it unusual that as a new owner Todd Boehly is handling Chelsea’s recruitment instead of focusing on hiring a Technical Director?
Will Patrick Vieira be successful this season?
@@MrJeffHead To not get relegated, push for a top half finish, & another good cup run.
I’m more saying along the lines that it’s his second season where a lot of managers find it more tricky. Can he carry on the positive work he did last season?
Jimmy Hill and Rupert Murdoch had bigger influences on inflation in football than Abramovich. Not saying he didn't change things but I think we'd still be in a similar situation without him
Thanks
Simon you should talk about english teams producing inflation to football (Real and Barcelona did it last decade) and picking on Mbappe renewal (at least he is the best footballer in the world).
Saluti.
Simon, regarding FFP. Do you think the scrutiny is close enough and regulated correctly? Seems to me it is far too easy to hide things like with City and the whole nation state airline etc. Wages, if rumours are true, seem to be getting out of hand.
Simon, do you think, considering Manchester United already had Juan Mata at the club and let him leave this summer for free, there was much point signing Eriksen? I don't think there is a vast difference between the two.
From a Chelsea fan.
I think eriksen has more left in the legs than Juan mata and can still play back to back games. I do agree though they are very similar players
great as usual Simon
As someone that had a problem with football gambling it wasn't the gambling companies that made me gamble it was pier pressure and the lad culture around it. Agrer with Simon that it is a legitimate form of sponsorship that requires greater regulation. That I had a problem is my own issue. Yes when I see the advertising sometimes it's hard but that's life.
Simon with the change in premier league loan rules, is selling with buy back clauses the new way forward? We’ve seen numerous clubs do this already this season.
Simon speaking the truth as usual
What do you think of 5 substitutions? Replacing half the team with fresh players seems a bit excessive to me.
Can Tottenham challenge City and Liverpool for league title in 23/24 season when Conte gets the backing he needs?
Not for league title I dontthink but they’re certainly looking more and more like thr team who will settle for 3rd
It’s Tottenham no drive
They have improved significantly in this window and retained their best players, so i dont see why they can't challenge at the least, but winning the title is totally different thing...Liverpool and Manchester City both will have to seriously underperform for totenham to win the title...But a very good champions league run upto semis or final is a possibility imo if they get a good group stage draw...
No . As great chiellini once said Its the history of Tottenham , so no league titles for you only top 4 trophy .
Next joke please
Wor Mandy definitely hurt Simon in the past. Simon what she do to you that hurts so bad? 🤔
Can you implement salary cap towards the players income? They’re seem to be getting out of hands.
Simon, do you believe we are living in a simulation?
By far the most watchable sports media presenter
What do you think about Marcel brands giving an interview about how hard it was to work under Everton owners getting involved?
Simon I love your show agree with most of your views your a wise man my friend Frank but fair never change all the best 👍.......MOT
What do arsenal need to challenge for the title?
better players.
God not jesus
@@garymcrae3492 👏👏👏😂
World-class manager
A miracle
SUPERB about salary-cap, been screaming for it for years. Live closer to Autraliasia than the UK these days and have loads of Aussie mates, and their NRL and AFL plus the American's system with the NFL etc. Works superbly well, unfortunately too many greedy pigs in football and media + TV spin-offs.
The only thing missing from the Saudi/Newcastle kit is red blood splatters.
🥱
If you could either implement a salary cap in the Premier league or to get rid of agents in football which of these two would you choose ?
Federer vs Nadal vs Djokovic? Who is the greatest tennis player of all time?
Here He goes again 👏 the Godfather of all Pundits 👊
Is every other country going to follow suit with player salary caps? Don't think so!
Do you feel of the 3 promoted teams Nottingham forest have the best chance of survival?
Best one to one Jordan has done. Spot on
Simon, do you think West Ham will make the European places next season ?
I think the question we need to ask about women's football is, is their playing tactics subpar to men's football or is it that men's football is more physical or perhaps it's both.
But it's not looking good for women's football when their world champions (Americans) lost to their under 15's boys as I'm sure the men's American team who rank low in the world in men's football wouldn't be beat or would have a competitive game against the under 15 boys.
Here he is, I don’t agree with everything he says but he is possibly the most compelling pundit in the game right now! Hey Jordan! Like this comment 🙌
Simon I bet you newcastle will finish top 4
Let’s get it in escrow
Love ur optimism, but need to get real. Top 10 will do then build from there!! 😃
Few more big signing Diaby paquetta and a top centre forward you never know..!!!
With world cup taking place mid season, could it mean an unlikely team win the title like we saw with Leicester a few seasons back?
I can't see that the players/EPL have aligned on a position re this for the upcoming season...my Q is should taking the knee before games continue into the 2022/2023 season?
I don't like the music playing in the background it's a distraction
Have you ever had an agent who had nothing to do with the player try get in on a transfer to try line his own pocket
Would they ban advertising for betting at Royal Ascot ? I think not
No because without gambling money horse racing probably wouldn't exist
@@nathancrittenden8525 exactly my point 👉 ' hope your well Nathan.
Simon if you ever bought Crystal Palace back and had to appoint either one of the 3 co hosts Danny Murphy Trevor Sinclair or Martin Keown who would you pick and why ?
Danny Murphy
How excited are you by Baz-ball? can this new approach rejuvenate English cricket?
Does England winning 8-0 give off a bad impression of the women's game? Even though it was 8th v 11th in world rankings.
Where does James Anderson stand in the pantheon of great English sportsmen?
Simon Jordan: If Barca can’t get back anywhere near where they want to be, Who in the world could be the next Barca/Madrid ie biggest clubs in the world? If any..?
Were you a cricket fan growing up and if so who were your favourite players?
Simon it wasn't beIN that Saudi "dealt with" (shut down). It was beOUTq which was a hijacked version of beIN
Do you think Real Madrid and Barcelona are still the pinnacle of players careers or do you think Man City/Liverpool are now the clubs at the very top? The signing of Haaland may suggest this is the case
England is where it’s at maybe I’m biased but it’s definately shifting or even shifted
it doesn't necessarily have to be just two clubs, it seems like man city and Liverpool have just caught up to barca and real Madrid, instead of replacing, all 4 are attractive
FFP is a myth, the PL is a biggest spender league regardless of fan base size worldwide or history.
I’m such a big fan of Simon Jordan icl
Let’s be real here, if Newcastle’s current owners had a hundredth of the wealth that they actually do, no one would care that they’re from Saudi Arabia (see Sheffield United). People are feigning outrage because they’re actually a bit annoyed that there’s yet another mega rich club out there… and it’s not their club.
100%. If they'd bought Man U the only thing that would be mentioned is how they got rid of the Glazers
It won’t happen but, I really do think Simon should be given a position within the FA 🤷♂️
Simon should man utd move Harry maguire on this summer as part of the rebuild?
Please Simon I beg of you in pure unadulterated fashion please please please give us loyal viewers your uncut opinion of bassini
Is achieving top 4 a realistic target for Arsenal?
Is there ever a ship that doesn’t sail?
Who’s this guy? Never heard of his name mentioned among the best players of all time
Simon, firstly thank you for bringing such a fresh perspective to football punditry. My question, as a lifelong LFC fan, this year worried me - 3 finals 360 minutes and zero goals. I have a worry that they are flat-track bullies, the great teams find a way to win (like Real Madrid did). What are your thoughts on what is missing from their DNA?
What are your thoughts on each league having a wage cap and transfer cap? One could argue that you only have true competition if the playing field is level.
Then nothing stops something like the ESL cropping up with no wage cap or no transfer cap. Wage caps and transfer caps can work with American sports, that everyone uses as examples, because they're basically the only leagues for those sports so there's no competition from anywhere else to sign them.
@@00700790210 I don't care about other countries. I'd rather a hit in quality in the short term if it means hyper competitiveness in the long term. I'm not saying the caps should be small necessarily either but enough to stop the thing of whoever has the most money generally wins.
There has been a female ref in a pro game. My team Port Vale had a female ref in a game and it went quite well.
However, it is completely unnecessary.
@@FreshAlchemy it's completely irrelevant as long as they have the same skill level. It seemed to cut a lot of the mouthing off to the ref out but it was only one game.
People wear clothing, Simon wears proper clobber!
My issue with Simon Jordan......he has nothing nice to say about anything.
Would you own / run a football club again ??
Hi simon I love to know your feelings on what you think the new ffp will look like and also what you would like it to be. Also do you think premier league will do something like La liga did?
What does all this money coming into the premier league mean for the overall bigger football world? Is it right for so much wealth and focus to be put into one part of the “pyramid”?
@Allan M Definitely not newcastle fans have been whining for over a decade about the investment in Manchester City.
@Allan M It’s an honest question not one meant to devalue or antagonize clubs. And money’s been more present than ever before in various ways. Just got to think about how this affects not just other clubs around the world but even far down as the championship, league 1 etc
@Allan M fairs thank you for your insight!
@Allan M Which is why the bile and hatred aimed at Manchester City is so galling. Every club whose had sustained success has been due to massive investment. Manchester utd wrote the book on sugar daddies going bust twice in their history and turned yo-yoing between divisions into an art form long before Manchester City. A club who didn`t have a crowd till they played at Maine Road after the war and didn`t come out of City`s shadow till the 1950s. Likewise lpool who weren`t even the biggest club on merseyside floundering around in the 2nd tier for almost a decade till they won the littlewoods pools. This enabled the club to come out of Everton`s shadow for the first time in the 1970s and fuelled their trophy surge between 1973-1990. Another club who bought success and their status as a "big" club was arsenal who bought their way out of the 2nd division after finishing 5th in div 2. A club who became so rich due to their benefactor they became known as the Bank of England club. To hear the fans of these clubs on their high horses about Manchester City and now Newcastle`s investment is mind boggling they obviously dont know the history of their own clubs.
@Allan M I`m an old City fan started following them home and away in 1976 my first game being the League Cup final against you boys. Fans my age regard this reward for the years of dross we endured..ha ha ha. FFP was introduced because the so called elite didn`t want the competition of other invested clubs crashing their party so put pressure on bent eufa to do something about it. City failed it along with lpool (which curiously the red media never mention) in it`s first review of 2014. Unfortunately for them City had only just failed it the following season breaking even and thereafter made money. This is why their trumped up charges have failed since but it took around 5yrs to stand on our own feet. It will be harder for you boys as you only have 3yrs to play with to get in the same position.
Even though sterling was one of the best players at the Euros
Would you still not consider him world class ?
Absolutely his stats are insane!!!!
He's already answered this question a hundred times on his show with Jim White, as this is a fairly regualr topic of discussion /debate.
Dead right about money dispersal. The premier league model has worked so well by helping the smaller clubs, without this the league would be another serie a, ligue 1, la liga. Another failed project
FFP What a JOKE!
I’d have no problem with female managers but you have to take in consideration of the changing room situation could be awkward

Newcastle United fans should look up Yeman views on Saudi Arabia
why
Who cares what Yemen thinks? Why don't you look up Iraqi views on the UK.
Saudi Arabia is a great country. Over there you don't pay tax and they execute the nonces. Over here they tax you through the nose and it's used to pay off the royals nonced up victims, and fund the drug habit and free loading lifestyle of smackhead single mothers with 6 kids to as many dad's. You don't get any of that over there. People in Saudi have higher social standards.
The UK government supply weapons to Saudi Arabia. Maybe if people in the UK felt so much outrage they would protest to their local MP - it isn't happening though.
Should the USA owners get asked for their views on the USA abortion rights and gun laws?
Do you think any achievements Newcastle may make in the future will be tarnished by the ownership model?
Not to Newcastle fans. And they're the only ones who matter to be fair. They won't be arsed what fans of other clubs think, why would they?
No, jealous opposition fans will cry a lot though.
No! Only the haters would be crying foul. Realize Newcastle hasn’t won the league since 1928, if they were to win the championship, it’d do wonders for them and their fanbase.
