Please don’t think that her beauty choices are representative of British women as a whole. That’s offensive. We’d call this makeup look ‘CHAV’ in the UK (trashy). It’s just too much everything. Sometimes less is more. They need to give her a make-under. The look they have conceived for her just reads as cheap. She looks like a Bratz Doll. For my taste level that’s not at all aspirational. The equivalent in the USA would probably be Snookie circa Y2K or GAGA during the Poker Face era when she over-tanned, wore three sets of false lashes at a time, bad wigs and orange foundation. 😢
You’re a beautiful young woman and clearly have talent - but you need to axe your glam squad and whoever is styling you. Perhaps it’s a budget issue but there are plenty of talented artists out there with a great eye who won’t necessarily cost the Earth. Work with some up-and-coming talent, as their rates will be lower. Image is such a huge part of artist presentation, creative expression and branding.
I think your comment points to the gift of the glam team actually, as the brief was to demonstrate the differences that occur towards talent in the music industry . You can see this come to life in story form of the music video for this debut. It's utterly fabulous how she guides us through the differences between reality of the music industry and what we are allowed to perceive. Really clever and creative❤
