I am local to CLT...not at all surprised to hear about weather issues we get a lot of really good thunderstorms--oddly enough we had a wind storm just 3 nights ago it was fairly messy all around CLT Metro. You just have to put your head down and push forward, its worth it.
Just when you think it’s going to be an easy trip, something always happens lol, I’ve had to sit on the tarmac in ORD for almost four hours once due to storms, but we always tough through it! Great video!
Hey Julie!!!! I just love your videos!!! I have a lot of questions for good reason. But wondering when you are faced with the 2 hr wait on the Tar Mate; what do you say to the passengers what do you do and have they ever been upset?
mrdsn189 thank you so much! I try to have the best attitude I can :) & it depends. I usually deadhead in uniform so I can bring three bags onboard (suitcase, tote, & lunchbox) and that way I don’t have to change if I’m working a flight later. If we’re in street clothes we follow the same rules as passengers and can only bring on 2 bags. So if I only have 2 bags & am just going home I’ll wear normal clothes.
Technically we are not working the flight, the company is repositioning us either back to base or somewhere to work a different flight & were not required to be in uniform ☺️

When I’m on reserve I usually get a standby shift twice a month! Thanks for watching!
