Thanks for sharing @2metersessions. I was the lucky one to see them Live once in Groningen (Oosterpoort, 27/3/1995) The Netherlands. Great musicians, superb band and they sure do bring back memories from those wonderfull '90s. \o/
Wow! This is my first time seeing this particular performance ♥️ I was THE biggest Jayhawks fan at this time. Long story short - Ken Callahan was a friend/former band member with my uncle (by marriage). I met him at their wedding rehearsal dinner. Anyway, he seems like a really cool guy… I was 17 years old and I wanted to hang out with the cool folks so I sat across from this guy in my uncle. Well, Ken Callahan and my uncle. He talked about this band that he was in or had joined called the Jayhawks. Maybe a week later in December 1992, I think, I was sitting in my vehicle at a bowling alley parking lot waiting to pick up some of my cousins and the DJ came on and said “here’s a new song by a band called the Jayhawks”. How was like “that’s that one dudes band!“. Anyway, the song was Waitong For The Sun and I loved it and just fell in love instantly and have been a fan all my life and seen them many times and it just opened my ears to a lot good music.
Olsen and Louris created epic harmonies. What a great band.
One of my favorite Jayhawks songs. Very underappreciated.
I LOVE THE JAYHAWKS and have since I was 16… 1992. This is my favorite song/performance
I miss these days so much
I have carried this 2meter session CD with me across the globe. Most recordings on it including this one still gives me goosebumps 🥰
Love the song, love the band. Thanks for sharing❤❤❤

To think I ended up living there. ❤ Life is interesting and good.
What a great band they were
Lol they are still GREAT!
You misspelled “are”
@@cgarrity they are still a good band but that original lineup and time was very special and never to be repeated
@@mainecanoe Well said. Incredibly special indeed.
This and the performances I think it was in Germany, maybe ‘95. Anyway, I love this performance and the German performances, particularly Souix City
This is what got me hooked on the Jayhawks back in 1995-Olson and Louris- Louris and Olson.
Terrific.
That`s what i need for today.
Unbelievable song!
