We never met anyone who loved the Jayhawks and Alt/Country as we did or even knew the bands. Then one Thanksgiving my Sister in Law invited us to her T-Day block party in St Pete, where everyone brought food and it was so great. Then after the meal these guys busted out guitars and percussion stuff and started playing lotsa Jayhawks and Ryan Adams etc . . . turned out to be the best day ever. We went back for maybe 10 years, then my wife passed away and I didn't go back, but was great to meet people who get it.
Without a doubt.. right up there with the Beatles.. my love for this band is immeasurable.. Unique.. distinctive and fucking awesome.. How I wish Mark and Gary would reunite..
Ken Callahan was such an understated, and integral part of the Jayhawks sound. I really feel they lost "that groove" when they lost him. Tomorrow the Green Grass never did for me what Hollywood Town Hall continues to do for me. Absolutely one of the greatest albums start to finish by any band.

..such a brilliant band, and so criminally underated..
Lucky us that realize it!
They're awesome
They are so good that it scares me to the bone, 1993 come back please!
The Jayhaws op z'n best!
Geweldig!
one of my favorite songs off one of my favorite albums!
Great great band. Discoverd back then by my wife Gerina. Still thankfull for that.

I have always described the Jayhawks as The Beatles meets the Eagles.
The intervals they would pull back then with vocal harmonies...sooooo good.
I miss 90's Mark so much.
The Jayhawk lineup is not the same without him. I wish he never left the band.
@@canuckowl They still put out exceptional material, in some ways better imo. ✌️
Briljantje! Mijn favoriete band............ zijn er verder nog opnames van dit optreden dan zou ik ze dolgraag zien.
Ken Callahan was such a force in this band!! Huge talent!!
I loved the Jayhawks cause of his drumming. The rest of it grew on me pretty fast.
Love the shoes, Karen.
She must have just started playing around this time. I saw them play live between HTH and TGG albums in Minneapolis and she wasn’t present.
Mooi nummer, was ik wat vergeten...bedankt om up te loaden...goeie drummer ook, valt me hier op
They always remind of Poco , like both..
Wat waren ze goed toen!

I never knew why Callahan left. He was a monster behind the kit and so vital to their sound.
2:10
You know when they say “lightning in a bottle..?”
So did Mark and Gary not get along after awhile?
Nome do vocalists
Well, this is America...
1:14 "Are they taking about me!? They're always taking about me... Wankers. "
Eh? 😳
@@mattellis989 that's what the drummer is thinking after 1:10
Allemaal domoren zonder enige reactie, treurig. Maar ja.
Brilliant, was smorgens de eerste act.
We stonden vlak voor podium, onvergetelijk.
