Since my husband died, I've been having a lot of spiritual experiences, and some through dreams. Too many to mention here. But I wanted to mention something interesting I noticed about my dreams since his death. If they are not vivid or have some teachable messages in them, I still wake up in peace remembering that he was there in my dreams every night, sometimes just quietly sitting without saying anything, or I'd notice his presence yet not remember anything else about the dream. I used to get frustrated wanting so much to remember the details of such "quiet" dreams. Now I wake up being content with the knowledge that I spent the night in peace and he was there keeping a watchful eye over me. Maybe that's what Swedenborg means when he says that the spirit of the deceased soulmate dwells with the one still living? Though I get signs during the day, I look forward going to bed every night.

The other day I had a dream that would have baffled me if it hadn’t been for this channel, teaching me all that it has. Remember how when Swedenborg had a near-death experience? I remember learning that he wrote- that once his physical body stopped breathing - he then observed spiritual breathing? Well in the dream I had, I had contracted the Corona Virus and was suffering suffocation (in my dream and also I believe in reality) where my mind (or evil spirits) were convincing me to stop breathing and my mind (dream state) was seeing it as if I was in a hospital bed after contracting the virus, fighting for my life. I was in one of those half-dream states where I was observing myself from another perspective. I remember knowing that my physical body was suffocating me but this was being allowed to happen. Once I experienced the full pain of not being able to breath numerous times, I decided to give in to the suffocation. But then something happened, I felt myself continuing to breath. I think that is when my angels told me (a loving thought came to me) that this experience that I was having was what Swedenborg was talking about. I got to witness/experience it first hand, it was definitely terrifying and painful for myself but his faith is much stronger than mine so that is why God chose him lol. Plus, I would think he to be less afraid after going through so many of these kinds of experiences. It was just another Tuesday for Swedenborg lol. The half-dream state that I was in, allowed me to experience my spiritual body breathing. Knowing that we do not stop breathing once we give in to suffocation/the pain of not breathing. There is so much death happening from the exact situation/experience of not being able to breath. I got to witness what these souls who pass from this virus, go through, and now I can whole heartedly say that they are still breathing 🕊 just felt like sharing .
Wow, Erika! What a gift of an experience! That is such a comforting thought. I'd been grieving over the deaths of a few elderly loved ones in nursing homes, dying alone with no loved ones allowed to visit. I suddenly had the thought that of course they were surrounded by angels -- not alone! Still very painful for the families though.... offTheLeftEye yes such use comes out of having these kinds of dreams. Not going to lie, it was not easy to go through and only after is when I realized its usefulness. Makes me realize that Swedenborg had to carry that faith/breast plate on himself where ever he went in the Spiritual World, to know if he did suffer such experiences- a great reason would come out of it in end. My new saying is ‘Just roll with it’ Lol like whatever life throws at me, I’ll just roll with it lol
I have been video recording my sleep to understand the severity of my apnea. On a couple of occasions while having a particularly bad apnea event, I accidentally recorded voices that I cannot explain. I live alone and it wasn’t me. A deep voice said very clearly: “ turn him over” and to my astonishment on video I immediately then rolled over and gasped for air. Imagine my further astonishment watching this video. Swedenborg has finally provided an answer to something that’s been a baffling mystery to me. I’m hesitant to tell this story but because people reading Swedenborg for the first time might think he’s just full of flights of fancy I want to say that know better-he’s explaining it like it really is!

The night before last I had a beautiful experience with my deceased husband such as us discussed at 16 minutes and 16 seconds in this video. I don't dare share anything of this nature with others, aside from a few who are spiritually enlightened because they are open and understand. I find it so sad that many people shrug off the beautiful interactions we have with our loved ones who have crossed over thinking that it's our imagination or evil when in truth these encounters with our loved ones are gifts from God to keep us connected and to show us that He loves us and does not want us to suffer without cause.

If spiritual reality (including thoughts and feelings) are more REAL than this earthly level, how can we dismiss such interactions as other than some kind of balm for our soul? How does it make any sense to place people in heaven vs hell when their lives were so distinct. Someone growing up with any love and affection is far more likely to lack empathy. Someone born with a sociopathic brain is far more likely to never experience love. What of these? How would it make any sense to pass judgement, whether self inflicted or not, given the clear evidence that nurture has a major impact on our choices? Integrating reincarnation suddenly makes it such that spirits incarnate to have different experiences and learn by literally walking on other human's shoes. The half baked "spiritual reincarnation" idea of Swedenborg seem like a cop out to try and address this glaring problem. Condemning a spirit for all eternity because of 20-70 years of life on earth seems absurd, no matter the error. What happens to those who die shortly after birth? Will they lack learning and knowledge for all eternity? If not, and they can learn whatever they need to learn on the spiritual side, then what is the point of earthly life anyway? A lot about it makes no sense.

And though I am tempted to answer some of them, I will have to restrain myself because I am still young and naive and I could tell you something that is not right. The only thing I can tell you for now is that you need to read more of Swedenborg's work and maybe even try to follow some other spiritual teachers in search for answers. Contradiction is inevitable when it comes to the spiritual matters. And yes, it can also be painful and discouraging. But as Aristotle once said, “learning is not child's play; we cannot learn without pain” . I really hope you will not give up and try to find your answers. @@karenreddy there is an episode of, reincarnation. By the way, from my limited understanding, even Hindu Brahmins don't believe in reincarnation. The Hindu description of who you are, Tat Tvam Asi means that you are hooked up to the Truth, call its the Other-Realms or the Absolute etc. The Brahmins say that reincarnation was used as a teaching method. Plato, in his later writings also abandoned reincarnation.
If you were watching more of their videos you would find out that everything happens for some reason, which we don't know. If someone dies young there is a reason behind it and that reason is probably good, but we don't understand it. Also if people die and they were traumatized from childhood and missed nurturing so their brain was affected whole lifetime (Eventually became narcissists or sociopaths) then they will get another chance in the spiritual life to make their decision what they want, they will learn as much as they want to. And they will be in the "societies" in the heaven (connections of the same minds) who are matching their own mentality. If they get into higher state of truth or wisdom then they will automatically move to different spiritually more wise society. State of your mind in the spiritual world will automatically decide where you belong in spiritual world and you will feel good there. But of course we don't know for sure what is the real truth..always listen to your gut feeling. If you strongly believe that there is a reincarnation and it is peacefully resonates with you please stick with it! Higher power speaks to us through our own tools and intuition. Do not ignore it. Everybody has its own truth and that's absolutely right and beautiful until we are not damaging other people's space or life.
Wonderful ! Best episode yet, I will have to see this over and over again to not miss any info as my mind was was racing with excitement as if my Angels were directly Explaining to me what I have been pondering about all my dreams. Oh by the way , a guy in a wheelchair came in to my shop today asking if I sold any dream catchers which I thought was very interesting as my shop is not know for selling dream catchers. And also the guy explaining some medical reasons for sleep paralysis was surrounded with a rainbow aura so much so it was distracting me from what he was talking about so I had to watch it several times. Very interesting as in the past I have suffered from sleep paralysis and didn’t know what this was until now , The entities that harassed me were just about all he mentioned. My method of controlling these was surrounding myself with religious articles. I lost my husband 3 yrs ago. January this year I lost my only sister. I do not remember dreams if I am having them. Only one time a few weeks after I lost my sister I had a dream about my husband. I could actually feel a very slight kiss, very slight and then he was beside me. I could smell him and we hugged so tightly like we used to, just longer. I put my face into his neck and told him I missed him so much. He smiled and said nothing for a while and then looked at me and said “ Now don’t forget” and he was gone. I have never experienced anything like that ever again and this dream stays with me forever.

Okay Curtis, here is a hard one. In secrets of heaven Swedenborg said '' we must love our neighbors as much as we love ourselves but in fact even more than ourselves if we are to become angelic.'' In today's world or at least in my neighborhood, neighbors aren't receptive or very welcoming. It sure makes it hard to spread love & charity.😢 I wish more people were like you and your colleagues.
I hear you 60vfranco. It can be hard to find people open enough to be vulnerable, even to friendships. Then other times people are plopped in our path, I believe by God, for us to give attention to, and it opens both of us up. The good people are out there.... I pray you will find some.

i suffered from sleep paralysis for few years. He describes it perfectly. what i find the most curious aspect of my period of SP was that friends who slept over at my house had the experience themselves for the very first time. The crapped themselves!! isn't that weird that they had never had it before but had it when they slept in my house! one time i became very angry with the 'entity' and i showed it no fear and very assertively told it to *!** off...instantly it was gone and i was consciousness flying through space in completely bliss...never happened since...i wish it would . Hi, to all people who have experienced the sleep paralysis that is mentioned in time stamp 34:50 in this video. This is very likely to be a spiritual attack. I experienced this myself multiple times along with frightening experiences of malevolent spirits attacking me. The only defence I found that worked ,was to shout the name Jesus in my mind and to rebuke the spirit in Jesus name. I watched this again. This morning, before waking up, I was dreaming that I was smoking cigarettes, though I haven’t smoked for decades. I think smoking in a dream corresponds to taking a belief or a teaching into yourself. It’s amazing to think that when we are dreaming, we are so close to other spirits.

Generally speaking, "relapse" dreams are dreams where former smokers find themselves smoking and at some point in the dream, realized they were smoking again and disappointed in the realization - wishing they hadn't started again. These dreams work in the subconscious to reinforce the desire to not smoke in awake life. Some people have them intermittently for years, some people not at all, some folks several years later. More people seem to have them if hypnosis or similar therapy was used to quit. They are pretty neat dreams. If yours was like this Pamela, that may be its purpose - to let you know that, Yeah - you still don't want to smoke! Best wishes!
Okay I promised myself I wouldn't comment on any more videos today🤣! But this is very powerful stuff. I've been taking notes on brother Curtis all day LOL. I haven't watched this much UA-cam in the twenty years I've been on it! I have a lot of Dreams where I am either living in the sky or My First Love (who passed away in 1998) comes to get me and he flies me up into the clouds with him and once we get up there, its this big beautiful house on mountain or ba a ocean. The sky is always beautiful and there's a beautiful flowers everywhere. I've also learned not to go to sleep angry stressed and upset. I've always believed that's where nightmares came from. When I am angry, sad, or frustrated, I would say an extra prayer before I go to bed and that would always help. I sometimes have those dreams where somebody's after me and I'm trying to get away from them, and then I finally Fly Away up into the sky and they don't catch me. I always wondered about those types of Dreams. I love dreaming about my relatives because they are protective in my dreams as they were in life.😇

Here we go. I’m an interested observer in Carl Jung. So dreams. I’ll give you the short version. I had a vivid dream. I was led to embark on a military ship. To do a duty, a happy, purposeful duty. The ship headed East. The End of that chapter. Then, in a rural setting, a 30-40 year old and I were working. A blond, slightly balding man.His face was blurred. Pure love between us. Intimate but not physical. He was tossing the harvest at me and I was sorting. I tried to sort the produce, but he was prolific. I sorted the ripe tomatoes. Still overwhelmed. I asked, “Hey, you got clean feet? “ He laughed, came over, and I said, start mashing those ripe tomatoes, we have ketchup to make”. End. When I awoke, I prayed. For clarity. So I asked the young man, “I know you?, “You know me? “Significant dream”? As series of questions, and each time, immediate response, YE#, YES, YES, YES. So I went to Swedenborg. I saw Curtis’ and it was him. I realized who was my companion, coworker, teacher. The ship is the new voyage. The how, and the sorting is through Swedenborg, via the Word, communicated by Curtis and his ilk and kind. It was the greatest happiest dream of my life. Thank you. Beyond measure. Keith

The harvest is ideas that you toss at me, and I and you together make into something value added. Here’s the kicker. I knew Pastor Zaccharias in Kitchener. His daughter Jeannie. The only Swedenborgian church in Canada. It didn’t resonate much. Never went to services. But a seed was planted. Now that seed has germinated, producing a comfort and a peace. An intention to receive His love and truth. G-D willing, I shall too plant seeds. “He who goeth forth in tears, planting seeds, shall in the fullness of time, in joy reap a bounteous harvest”. I paraphrase. We just plant seeds. It’s nothing. Then the almighty does the heavy lifting. Truth, and Goodness. Swedenborg in a nutshell, as you have taught. G-D bless you, give you stenghth. Thank you so much for this topic. I am very familiar with sleep paralysis and also commented on one of Peter Fenwicks videos. Maybe this helps someone "out there" to overcome the fear. Here is what I experienced and commented: I had a fully conscious experience of dying during a sleep paralysis 20 years ago. Whilst fully awake I couldn't control my body, which was immovable and felt extremely heavy with weight. I experienced my heart hammering and absolute fear as well as a feeling of being totally magnetized. I have had many sleep paralysis since childhood but didn't know this was a common phenomenon until my late 20ies. As I "decided" to give up struggeling mentally and choose death, I heard a "flat line" as my heart stopped. Then, the dark heaviness was struck by some sort of electricity, that arouse through my spine. As it reached the top of my head, my body exploded, there was no body anymore but pure radiant light (no tunnel, no imagery), absolute bliss, no time, no bounderies, just love. I knew that I was me, so the individual identity remained. As the question "but what about my family" came into mind, I was immideately pushed back into my body. It felt heavy but I had been given back control. It took almost 20 years to integrate this into my everyday life but it was all worth it. So as I see it, I had a full Kundalini during a sleep paralysis. Oh, and btw: I studied most of the Kant material and yes: His writing style is surprisingly different compared to his other writings. He had an issue with women but was a pietist and very liberated thinker. I couldn't believe he has actually written this. Thus, I assume, he did try to protect his reputation. Stay happy and healthy.

"Kritik der reinen Vernunft", "Kritik der praktischen Vernunft," "Kritik der Urteilskraft", "Metaphysik der Sitten", "Anthropologie in pragmatischer Hinsicht", "Allgemeine Naturgeschichte und Theorie des Himmels", as well as some essays and "Träume eines Geistersehers", which differs distinctly in tone. The "thing" with Kant is: He uses Latin grammar and German language. That's why it's difficult to translate his writings into other languages.
Say Curtis - I know this discussion is on dreams. But an interesting phenomena and similar in nature from what you speak of; seems to occur in our waking hours too. Voices of Angels speaking about certain topics get picked up in our subconsconscious and manifest themselves as "vibes". Then these vibes we give off to other people and they are left with these angelic impressions toward something good for their lives. In this way that person receiving that "good vibe" from Angel conversations takes one more step toward God's divine plan for his/her life.
Thanks for the explanation. I frequently have dreams where I'm in a lively discussion with several people. It's friendly banter, but I rarely remember what we were discussing once I'm awake. I have often wondered if they are my spirit guides. or should family gathered around me while I sleep.
I guess we can't know for sure what's happening, J, but pondering them might bring some sense of meaning for you. Maybe those dreams are a reflection of your enjoyment in connecting with people, and you get to do it even when you're asleep! I have no idea. :). Glad you found some helpful ideas in this video!
If I'm asleep and encounter these negative entities or a prolonged sleep paralysis, I find that engaging the heart is the best mechanism to regain true grounding. According to Buddhist tradition, these visual deformities arise in response to the depth of difficulty or distress we hold within. So by electing some level of compassionate empathy for the being (What sadness to exist void of love or nurture/in a reality where each encounter brings recoil/unable to embrace, etc...) and extending a wish of solace for that being, it cannot remain. In the presence of authentic and creative love, life-affirming love, depravity cannot project its intention with success. It can project, but we fail to see the threat or danger in mindfulness of love. Love and trust in the truth of that love diminishes the appearance of power for evil. It then appears as it is, a tool, a mechanism useful for benevolence to compel love, but nothing more. In other words, moving a finger or toe may spark the neurons to emerge from the paralysis, but with a continued sense of heart paralysis and fear. Triggering the soul to recognize itself, even the presence of ourselves in a hideous, fear-inducing energy, we trigger the greatest energy in existence: LOVE. We share even the most minute fraction of that love with a being who has no reference for life can also plant the seed of evolution in even the lowest forms. A spark of what is possible that was not previously known experienced by that being can aid that being to journey toward greater moments of love. I don't seek out depravity to aid it. That's ego seeking to be a saviour. I merely engage in what I trust most in the face of evil. We are far more powerful than we understand, simply by being our most humble selves and living in pursuit of wisdom with a heart of love.

OMG when you said that when we are in "sleep paralysis" an entity may show up. I remember when I couldn't move, and woke up very fast and saw a shadow on my wall. That really creeped me out..
Me too, especially the last year. Maybe illness in the body manifesting in the mind. I know I have been feeling closer to death lately. T oo bad I don't feel at peace, maybe because I have 2 young kids to worry about and I have abused my body. Are you sick? Or you only remember the bad dreams?
The more conscious and closer I got to Jesus, I suffered several episodes or attacks me during my sleep. I have had SP before and it used to occurs while I was awake, awakening or falling asleep. But the more aware I became of spiritual warfare these episodes happened in a way that it seems I dreamt it, at one time I felt being pulled out of my bed, by pulling my feet. I am getting better at dealing with it and seeking Jesus intensifies the attack but it breaks it quickly. I have learned to feel when it will happen as I start to shake the pressure of my body. At times this is accompanied with loud static sound in my head. But the more I learn the more devious they become.. by having very strange dreams that get mixed with SP. Also... in a dream (very uninteresting) I heard voice, it spoke to me so clearly... on my left ear "you are a demon or you have a demon". I woke in that instant. Any thoughts?
Patricia, this is Kendall -- I work as part of the OTLE community team. I have to tell you that you describe perfectly my own experience. For about 6 years (ages 9-14) I experienced nightly what I used to called "the vibrating thing." No one knew what I was talking about. It was terrifying. I only occasionally experience it now at 35. I have been comforted by the hope that my spiritual transformation is taking place, in part, when I'm asleep. I have no idea why that is the case, but I think it is! You are in good company, my friend. You have offered me a gift by sharing your own experience. I've never been able to find another person in my daily life who has shared this experience, and I thank the Lord that this channel is the one place I have heard others like you describe my own inner reality. @@offTheLeftEye Thank you so much for your response. I must say, I too struggle to find people who can relate to these experiences. It's really hard for others to understand something that they haven't experienced and sometimes it makes me sound a little crazy. Last night I had another one episode of SP, this time with the addition of feet pulling and I felt like I was being held by my neck (not choked) as if they were trying to stretch me. The past weeks I have been a little scared of going to bed as I fear another episode. But last night during prayers I asked for protection from Jesus and Archangel Michael and stated you have already defeated satan... so I know this battle is won. I felt that their constant attack is a way of saying... "your God can't save you" to deter me from believing or making me feel as if I am not worth "saving or helping". It intensifies and stops after calling Jesus, but before it occurred once per night. Now it feels as if they will try and try non stop. I think my next approach will be to not be fearful and send them love (easier said than done lol). You are reminding me that I used to sing children's worship songs in my mind to get through the experience. Sometimes as I sung, the evil spirits' grip (and my consequent powerlessness) intensified as though they became enraged by my inviting innocence to come near me. It still grieves me to remember this -- that it doesn't become easier, necessarily, just because I invite heaven closer to me. It was worth doing because I know no regular forms of aid were getting me through. I needed aid from the Divine himself. Angels, too. Father in heaven who gave us the Word, So we may learn how to live each day, Teach us to love and obey what is true, Then, Lord in heaven, we'll be with you. Father in heaven, watch o'er your children, Nighttime and daytime be with us still. Waking or sleeping, working or playing, Help us to do your holy will.
Thank you for your response. Yes, please do keep it and I hope it helps. I have come to this conclusion through research and the realisation that they thrive on negative feelings. They love to cause fear and the more we feel the bigger their power becomes. So having love for God and trust that you are God's child should deter us from feeling fear. It's not easy cause your reptile brain responds with fear. But not letting it overwhelm me and I do feel sorrow for these entities... I am sorry that they have succumbed to that. So it's bot really love but compassion, I guess. It's a learning curve but that being said I could really use a heavenly sent good night sleep 😁 Thank you for sharing your prayer 💚 God bless!

In the NDE of Sandy Taranto, she was informed about the function of dreams. She says that, at night while we sleep, we all leave our bodies and reconvene in the spirit world. There we coordinate future plans, making agreements with the other spirits as to how our physical lives will play out with each other. I study dreams, and Sandy's account has been my preferred explanation because it explains why some dreams "come true". They are plans for the future, so of course they will come to be. In some ways, this seems to tie to Swedenborg's explanation of dreams, though his account is much more nuanced, revealing the minute details instead of providing the big picture.

I had a dream a few months ago. In that dream spirits told me to rid all obituaries out of my house because it allows different spirits to roam. Once I did that, I instantly felt the presence of peace.

About 5 years ago. I had this dream. Please bear with me as I tell it: My friend and I found ourselves in a place as visitors. I don't know how we got there because there was no traveling to this place; we were just there. But it seems as if we have visited this place a few times,so coming and going was familiar but I could not be specific about this. It was like, I just knew it, somehow. We arrived at the entrance and behind us were some huge trees on either side of a stretch of land like a peninsula. We stood there for a while and I noticed that to my right the trees were so tall almost like a jungle, with the huge roots growing up on top of the earth making the ground unsteady and difficult to walk on. Sooo many trees about and huge trees too. To our left it was clearer but not entirely so; however, people were about, including children. As we walked in, I noticed there were houses which were wooden and the people looked somewhat poor. Mostly women and children but they were pleasant to us. We first turned left where they were, then instinctively right where it was even clearer....but not clear, and went into a building like a bar. This building had 3 walls as where we entered was open. There were stools and little tables to sit but only men were in this bar, but boy, were they handsome! They were also interestingly dressed like guardians with the guardian hat, breastplates and armours and they were very entertaining. My friend got chatting to one who seemed to take a shine to her. One was after me too, but somehow, I felt I had enough and wanted to go home. I expressed this but my friend was so engrossed with this guard that she virtually ignored me. After telling her for the nth time that we should go now, Mr Handsome informed me that I was free to leave or stay, it was my choice but to please note that my friend wanted to stay. Feeling a little dejected, I left the building and went to speak to the women with the children. They were really kind but told me the same thing that I could stay if I wished. I was clear that I wanted to leave and one or two of the women gave me directions back to where we had entered. I was told that going back would be dangerous. But that I would be okay because I had light on my countenance. They told me to keep praying as I walked on the peninsula...to keep my hands clasped and pray and not be afraid because they were certain that I would be okay. I didn't like the sound of what I was hearing, but determined more than ever to leave. One of the women was going in my direction on her way to the shops, so I felt really glad that I would have some company but then it somehow became clear to me that this wS somewhere they did not go. So I set out on my own with a prayer to God for protection in my heart. I couldn't understand why it was so easy to get there but would be so dangerous to leave. Lo and behold, as I hit the peninsular, I was suddenly attacked by hoards of people from the left and the right. The trees were very tall and at the top they overlapped to form something like a mangrove under which was quite dark. I was sh shocked at these people coming after me. I was praying as I was told to do and walking at the same time but they were gaining on me and I became scared and started to run. These people were pulling at my clothes, my foot...they meant to hurt me. I ran and they ran after me. Somehow in the middle of this mayhem, I stopped being scared and got very angry. I turned to face them and started hitting, kicking and screaming T them to leave me alone. I was facing them and fighting back when my sister suddenly appeared to my left. Now, they kind of lost interest in me and went after her. Well, I got really mad now and told them that they would not get my sister, I wouldn't allow ; they would not have her and kicked out at one to my left and immediately fell on my back from the exertion....and fell into bright, bright sunlight...so bright it was unbelievable! I fell with my sister and the hoard of attackers suddenly pulled back. They seemed afraid of the light and picking up on this little piece of fact. I started to look around for stones to throw into the trees so the branches would break and let the light in on them, under the mangrove. But there were no stones and we were safe in the light. My sister wanted me to go back for my friend but I said no. As she had made her choice to stay there and besides, I wS not going to enter into that nightmare again. Together we moved further back into the sunlight, knowing we could not be harmed. I woke up and immediately, The Lord us my shepherd, 23rd Psalm came to mind and I said it out loud. I was crying...don't know why but I cried and even now telling you this dream, I'm crying....it was over 5 years ago. I think I visited hell...the environment was poor but peaceful, with nice people, but the demons were nearby; they just could not come where the people are and the people avoided them. I have had other wonderful heavenly dreams prior to this one and since this one too but I've only had one vision ever. and this was over 25 years ago - that's another story.

I've had 4 dreams that were ones for telling things that were going to happen later in my life. The scariest one was one that showed me in an old white building and I had my finger cut off. It was so scary I woke up and sat straight up in bed. I was sweating and freaked out over how real it felt! Months later I took a summer job since I was in college at a temp agency. I worked at a factory for 2 weeks, then one night they wanted me to do some work upstairs. I didn't know they had another floor of this factory. I went upstairs during it looked so different, the top floor was all white tile. It looked familiar but I knew I never saw or been there. About an hour later, I pinched my finger in the machine and by the time I got back downstairs to the foreman I passed out. Long story short, I lost the tip of my thumb and the following day I recalled why that floor looked familiar!
Wow! I know predictive dreams happen sometimes, because I know people who have had them. This is quite a story! I hope you're okay now, and have adjusted to having a slightly shorter thumb!

I think it was the author Nabakov that said "Dreams are anagrams of diurnal reality". J.W. Dunne's theory of time and consciousness involved parapsychological phenomena like precognitive dreams in *hypnagogic states* , our relationship with God, and the nature of space and time as set out in the theory of relativity. Did Swedenborg write anything about pregocnitive dreams or what we call "deja vu" today? This man is so interesting I want to find out everything he had to say about his dreams! I've been reading about "proprium" as Swedenborg says and i get a little overwhelmed thinking about how these two things relate? Maybe I'm just blabbing sorry.
I've heard others express that kind of theory about Kant, despite his criticism of Swedenborg! :) I have only found one place in which Swedenborg seems to be specifically addressing the "deja vu" phenomenon, but it seems to fit in with all the many things he has written about how we are constantly sharing thoughts and feelings with the spirits around us. When I have deja vu, I assume I'm having a moment of sharing a similar memory with one of my associate spirits. Here's that deja vu passage from Swedenborg's personal journal. @@offTheLeftEye Wow that search website is exactly what i needed! I've been googling "swedenborg dreams" for the past week i swear i'm a bit of a luddite. Thank you so much! I like your description of deja vu being a shared memory or experience from other spirits that's so interesting. I was hoping to find from Swedenborg some clue into what the natural function of dreams even is, especially in contrast to our "conscious" waking life. Seems that since ancient times we've seen elements of future and memory in our sleep, but being able to interpret or decode those dreams is a gift of its own i guess. From what i've gathered from your videos and what little i've read from Swedenborg, spirits are assumed to be able to implant ideas/images/emotions into human minds, right? So could angels and demons (or satans?) be able to make impressive predictions on the basis of probability and demonic/angelic influence: i.e. they predict by extrapolation something likely to happen, then try to make it happen? I jumped into the implications of the physics of "time" when thinking of precognitive dreams, but now I'm super interested in the actual SOURCE of dreams, divine or demonic. Sorry for all the dream questions but i basically came to faith through dreams, i had an incredible experience with what i could only describe as the "comforter" mentioned in John.. either that or my heart changing from stone to flesh i just have no idea. Swedenborg seems so relevant to all of this and i have a lot to learn!
@@ne0princess Looking at his dreams was also a major part of Swedenborg's process, which led him to his full spiritual awakening! Dreams are a link between the worlds, and a link between our earthly and spiritual minds. The source of them can be measured by the goals (if you can sense them) and the results. Any dream or prediction that is striving to stir up fear or trouble will be coming from evil spirits. Any dream or prediction that is trying to inspire love and kindness and positive change will be coming from good spirits, angels and God!

Just watched the first 20 minutes of this before having to get some sleep. Jut before going to sleep I made a not on my phone "Had fresh food after fast, felt great, had processed good, felt tired. Stay fresh" this has been a battle of mine for a while I thought, I seem to be trying hard at it I thought. Went to sleep, and next thing I know I am batteling a giant dragon! and in its side is a building sort of cut out which has loads of different levels, and I have 2 ropes tided around me that I have tied to try and battle this massive beast! ... Insane.
This is truly amazing and accurate. I speak to angels directly during the day and while asleep and these different types of dreams occur with me(Me=psychic medium & other gifts) I've written down hundreds of dreams to study this from a scientific perspective. I appreciate what God has gifted to me and hope to help others.
+offTheLeftEye hi Curtis thank you for this, I had these recurring dreams for about 8 months, usually 2/3 times a week, I always felt like there was a presence in the room with me but I couldn't turn around to look as I was to frightened to or I couldn't move either to awake or look. This same dream was repetitive in all manner & form. Each time it felt as though it was an evil being and each time the fear intensified within my body and mind. Until the 31/1/15 this was my brothers birthday, he had passed away 4years ago. That afternoon I fell asleep and had this same dream as my fear intensified I somehow had a knowing that the shadow of a person behind me at my bedroom door was my brother, I don't know why but I said who ever you are I know you are not here to harm me at that point I was lifted out of my bed in a gliding form of movement carried towards my window at this point I could only see my feet but sensed and had full awareness that it was my brother carrying me,
He used my toes to wiggle the curtain on my window then glided me back to my bed where I awoke sitting on the end of my bed. At no time did I see my brother I just sensed him. From that day to this I have never had another dream like that & I was without fail having them 3 times a week. So thank you for an explanation on sleep paralysis. 🙏

Hello, unies! Thanks for the kind words about our videos. Yes, pretty fascinating to realize that dreams come from another level of existence. Swedenborg saw that dreams involve people (spirits) who are near us but live in a spiritual dimension! It certainly shows that we are connected not only with people on earth, but also people in the afterlife.
Dreams are the main gateway that led me to give some credit to spirituality and rediscover my old religious education through a new lens. Dreams with deep spiritual/religious content came to me when I was in a very dire situation in my life, and I can say without exagerration that they were a big part of me giving life another chance. But the way beings can "pretend to be someone else" inside them is also a great source of confusion for me. Are the angels actually angels? Is Jesus actually Jesus? Sometimes, it's actually really hard to tell. ...and that's probably why most priests in the "official" church always dismiss those dreams as being "demons", and that's why I couldn't find an outlet before finding channels like this.
I hear you, An Angelineer -- It can be confusing! One filter to run it through is: Did the figure (angel or whoever) bring a message of love, truth, helpfulness, peace? If so, maybe that can be trusted, because "demons" do not deal in that kind of stuff. I guess it's not fool-proof, but perhaps if you come away from a dream encounter with new energy and hope, that's probably good! @@offTheLeftEye There are several cases where I have absolutely no doubt I was with heavenly people/angels in the dream. Especially with the ones that contributed to saving my life. But since that really hard time 5 years ago, the spiritual dreams have never truly stopped, and many cases in which I am not so sure have popped since. I actually have picked a little trick from your channel! When I am in doubt, I ask the being in the dream to say a prayer or "I love God" before I accept to go with them. Some beings just are utterly disgusted by the very idea of saying those things, and that seems like a pretty good sign that they are evil spirits. The only problem with that "technique", is that it does require to be in a state of lucid dreaming. And that's far from always being the case! But each time I was lucid enough to do that, it seemed to work pretty well. So thanks to your channel for giving me this idea! :D
@@offTheLeftEye But honestly, I also feel like a target has being painted on me for the forces of hell... My beautiful dreams got more wonderful, but my nightmares also became much more horrible. These days, I even have trouble sleeping at all with all the nightmares I have been doing... I tried to pray for relief, but not much so far.
@@AnAngelineer I'm glad the request to pray has been helpful to you! I wonder, if you build this habit in lucid dreams, if it will spill over into the others as well, at some point. I'm so sorry to hear about the nightmares, that sounds very challenging and frustrating, and I know how hard life is without good, solid rest! This is a little less esoteric than usual, but I have heard stories of children with night terrors changing their diet - quitting foods like gluten and dairy - and having the night terrors go away. It's possible that clean eating could make a difference! Obviously we're not nutritionists here, and I have no idea how you eat currently, but maybe it's worth a try if this is plaguing you heavily! I hear 30 days is the standard for a full "detox." So maybe try a month of clean foods - mostly plants - see what happens? If nothing else, it will restore some gut health and give you a physical reset in that way! Melissa here, and I've been helped a lot by the ideas about eating shared by journalist Michael Pollen, who wrote, "In Defense of Food," a very useful little book for me personally. I am also very intrigued by the Medical Medium, who does share some free detox diets on his blog/website. But that's pretty out there, so you'll have to decide if it resonates with you! I hope that's useful, or if not, that you find the right thing that can help you get some peace! Wishing you good health and great sleep!
@@offTheLeftEye Thanks for trying to help. But in my case I think the main reason for my nightmares is my dysfunctional relationship with my father and the world view he always tried to push on me. I make more nightmares when I am near my father. Which is the case right now because COVID and financial troubles have forced me to go back live with my parents. It's sad to say, but my father is deep in the hellish mindset. He only cares about money, prestige, power, and himself. Everyone in the family thinks he is selfish, lazy, and irresponsible. He drinks a lot, and even if he's not the only cause , he is largely responsible for my depression and subsequent suicide attempt (a toxic work environment and a burnout were another big cause). ...And its the despair of this depression he largely caused from which the "dreams of heaven" saved me. He is the only person I truly hate. I have given him many chances to redeem himself and change over the years, but he never did. Now, I am tired of trying to reconcile with him. He doesn't want to change. In Swedenborg terms : "He likes hell". I am going to go away as fast as I can from him. It seems that just deciding that already made me feel better and sleep well. hopefully I can go through with it and this will last.

I could imagine that "dreams" are actually trips to other worlds that exist beyond what we know here. The key to travel throughout the Universe (as in beyond the comfortable surroundings of our little solar system) is not advanced rocket technologies, but, instead, a solid understanding of the mind-body connection.
One trick I use to remember dreams is to NOT MOVE when I first waken. To linger in that fuzzy spot between sleep and awake and just stay still, don't roll over, don't stretch, keep your rhythm of breathing consistent. Then I latch onto the last memory in my dream I have, and follow it to more and more detail. It is like following a path back into the dream where I take note of the colors, objects, or symbols that may be important to me. Thoughts about the dream come like flashes of memory and I do my best to take note, repeating in my head the items on my growing list. Then I let myself wake, but the first thing I do is repeat that list to myself out loud or write it down. It is like sand going through a sieve, it will still be lost if you do not bring it into conscious memory. When I succeed at this the dream memories stay with me for months or years, I recall them just like real waking memories, others hover in the back of my mind but may reassert themselves when triggered by a smell or moment in my waking life,...just like real memories (but I also remember they were from a dream.) Just a thing I do, the trick is DON'T MOVE and follow the thread back, then take notes! Hope someone found this useful.
You know Misty I have done the exact exercise you described and I managed to capture my dreams a lot better then I usually do.Thanx for your two cents it means a lot to me.I have always been blown away by dreams and some visions I've had before nodding off.I kept a journal for 4 yrs. and haven't read it until now and all I can say is wow.I could see a history of what the dreams contained and what my life had experienced all that time.Amazing is all I can say.
I "hate" those people that have no dreams or they succeed on ignore them , I dream most of the times, try to forget them but they are coming back in different contexts or sometimes they continue, I dream myself in places that look familiar but when I wake up I try my best to remember where did I see that scenery or detail, if any picture but no, and than another night I would dream myself in exactly same place, they are all beautiful these type of dreams started when I was 32, too old to remember heaven and too young to be close to heaven unless I will go soon :) My daughter is dreaming a lot too, since she was born I was with her all the time, she stopped sleep in the same bed with me when she was about 10. When she was about 7 she told me she dreamed she was very scared but "the mother of God came to her, took her in her pocket that was some kind of basket and held her there and she was trying to comfort her and she felt very safe" My daughter didn't have any religious memories since she was 4 when we left our country and we didn't go to church to often and I didn't want to endocrine her with the religion I was growing up with because I don't believe in religions.
I have kind of a question. A couple of weeks ago I experienced a sleep paralysis where I saw my wife who passed 5 months ago. I told her that I love her. She smiled. I then told her that I was sorry that I was not able to save her. There were tears in her eyes and streamed down her face but she smiled during this. Then I asked her if I would be with her soon. Again, she smiled and then her hand touched my arm. Almost at that moment I woke completely up. I would like to think that she was there to comfort me and reassure me. At the beginning of this experience I was a little scared but when I saw my wife I was comforted. Which seems to be different from sleep paralysis definitions. Do you have any thoughts of any Swedenborg experiences that are similar? I want to add that the next day I was doing a lot of praying about this. A little later I felt that there was a message in this. I wrote it down after my sister in law told me to.
Cliff, I would call it a real gift, rather than paralysis. You were given a vivid dream, a tender connection with you life who loves you deeply. Yes, the feeling of comfort is abiding, and real. There is a book called Hello From Heaven which is a collection of short stories like this one. Dreams, visions, a sense of smell, a moment in nature, a voice, all poignant with the strong sense that someone's loved one is close and giving a message of comfort. I am so sorry that you wife died too soon, and I hope that this dream gives you the reassurance that she is alive, and loves you and will see you again in joy. But waiting is hard.

I started reading it that night and I haven’t been able to put it down. I have read and reread many of the experiences in that book. A couple were very close to my experience. Your organization through the writings of Emanuel Swedenborg have answered many of my questions. Over the months I have viewed your You Tube channel and have drawn much comfort from the information and the manner it which it is presented. Thank you again! Cliff
I have had dreams but they are strange and sometimes can even be nightmarish. I suppose a lot of it has to do with what kind of a person you are, what you believe in, the kind of medications you take etc, and the type of spirits, good or evil , that are targeting you. Since I have struggled most of my life, I suppose evil spirits could capitalize on my shortcomings and make it worse for me when I sleep. However, I do believe in Jehovah or a power greater than myself. Im basically a simple person, who is learning to love and respect others, like in the Ten Commandments Moses received from Jehovah. Life on the earth IS NOT easy, for a lot of us. Thanks for this video, it helps me with my life .👍🏻🙂
I'm very glad that this helps, Jules. There are so many factors at play that result in our dreams, much of them just a product of how we are all connected with a variety of lower spirits during earthly life. You can trust that those small, steady steps of learning love and respect are leading you in a heavenly direction, despite times of inner and outer turmoil. Those are just the lower weather patterns, but above them, the light and heat are shining steadily!
Very insightful for sure. I've had many dreams from pleasant, whacky, scary, delightful, spiritual, flying, confusing, disappearing and recurring. As well as warning type of dreams and awake dreams or visions while awake that came true. One was of Standing Rock and the pipelines that I posted on FACEBOOK before it happened. Visions of our Hawaiian people and what they went through, and many others. Times I knew things were going to happen. And always told don't give it credence and it's evil. So I stopped telling my parents or other family members. And in my mind if it was something that would scare me. I would tell myself as long I don't say anything it won't happen. But it always did and I would just cry. The recurring dream I had was in black and white, and about my mom and dad. Since I was a child to just before my mom passed a year ago I had that dream. Not REM dreams, but a special kind of reverie that we all pass through each night after falling asleep, but most do not recall. Hypnagogia can be developed as a spiritual life practice, much like lucid dreaming.

I wonder if three extremely vivid dreams that I used to have on a fairly regular basis when I was still a child were because of the spirits near me. It made me think I was dreaming of other lives I had lived. Now I think I may have heard these spirits talking about their lives but it felt, in my dream, as though it was me going through the events. That may be one explanation as to why so many believe in reincarnation. I now ask for protection from bad dreams and since I started asking, I haven't had a bad dream.❤️ Yes, that dream of saving his father was very touching. And what it symbolized was a big job on Swedenborg's shoulders. I have had television shows mix into my dreams. Is that a way that things here on earth can affect our dreams? It was one of the questions you answered towards the end of this episode.

I used to have dreams that I was a spy or and officer of some sort and always had the same subordinates under me. We would go on missions to save princesses, infiltrate military bases, etc. We would either succeed or I'd wake up before the end of the mission. Only once or twice (out of maybe 5-10 of these dreams) did I report to someone else above me about our mission details. Now (years later) I constantly feel like I need to talk to Archangel Michael. This video just made me think of these dreams.

@@offTheLeftEye I see a lot of synchronicities (like 11:11, 2:22, 1:11, etc) and have clear messages in my head in the form of righteous urges and concepts. For example, protect people from manipulation. If something doesn't feel right, I will have this incredible warm shiver go down my body with the feeling of either anger or sadness (because of knowing it hurts people or someone is hurt) and I get this urge to protect. Intense intuition basically. It's like I just know the chain reaction.
Sleep paralysis is fascinating and terrifying at the same time. I'm relieved I've only experienced it several times from what I can remember. There is something about not having control over your physical self. The dread that comes with this experience is overpowering and overwhelming. Scary stuff!

I experienced this myself multiple times along with frightening experiences of malevolent spirits attacking me. This dream at just before 1:00 aligns with the many animals I 🥩 I thought I was going to write meet but it’s relevant- people who carelessly ate meat on the physical plane. Also many who had merkabas as if they thought it was okay- it’s not- to break into heaven!

It is interesting to know whether those who claim to have been abducted, can only recall the events of their experience through a dose of hypnotic therapy. Some abductees (possibly thousands around the world) have been plagued by implants which were removed by certified surgeons (some of those can also be found on UA-cam), and the objects were made of unrecognizable materials not from earth it has been claimed. This again brings met back to the ET presence, and whether they can dominate our dream states. He was so unique and I don't believe there was any other scholar in the world who covered such diverse subjects on Spirituality, Scripture and what else is out there beyond our material world, and it seems what may exist on other planets / realms. I will shortly get an annual membership going with the Swedenborg Foundation. I think it is important to see that this support system remains in place for us all to refer our questions to I guess the best way to get the answers to lifelong questions is to go through all the Videos that are listed. It will take me many months to study them all, and in particular Swedenborg's views and theology on Scripture. There is nothing worse in life that to be at loose ends, wondering what to believe, or is this the right interpretation and belief system, and I can't commit to something that is not 100% perfect lol! Your hard work and your time devoted to this organization is so thorough, I think we're all very lucky you are there to provide us with sustainable information and knowledge. At least we now have something to make our comparisons with. There are so many interpretations out there, especially on Scripture, or for want of a more apt term within the religious institutions of Christianity: dogmas and doctrines. But I shall battle on for my sons' sake, as life is precious, and they do not want to have to carry the burden of their mother, who has learned to virtually cry on cue these days, but if feels like a great relief once the pressure valve has been released. I should consider becoming a specialized actor who can 'cry on cue'. It is hard to cope when you wake up every day and you're hoping that it was just a bad nightmare, then the reality kicks in, and its becoming akin to running a news real in the twilight zone from which there is no escape. Anyway, I am sure you know what I am talking about, but the reality is that God has given us relative health, we are active you and I, we communicate and we're serving our human counterparts in our own way and providing support, and that is the 'plan' I think God has laid out for us as individual battlers in life. Watching this vid brings to mind A funny and fascinating thing..I dont remember the full context of the dream I had, but I remember suddenly being surrounded by these white walls that looked more like doors. My first thought is that I was being held captive like in a jail...then I calmed down thinking this wasn't a big deal. There was a guy who in my mind, I considered my guard or jailer but he was cool and we talked ..we both laughed and smiled. So it turned out to be a cool experience. I wish I could remember details...But I look back at this and wonder was it protection from an attack that I would have been particularly vulnerable to in a way I could not have delt with on my own. On a different night of sleep, another dream sequence was me being pursued on foot by the actor Rock Johnson (it felt more like the fast and furious Rock , but he didnt have the goat- t)....he chased me into what looked like a park restroom with the enclosed stalls. So I got chased and cornered into a stall...I was on the floor leaning against a toilet and he was over me with a Bow pointed at me (like an archery bow). This part of the dream was very intense and I was scared. When I looked at his face, his eyes flaired in exact proportion with the emotion I conveyed as my fear increased. Its like he knew how terrified I was and his face reacted in proportion to that. Looking back, a funny thing is that the tip of the arrow on the bow was made out of this ridiculous, big plastic pointed type thing that looked like red soft serve ice cream cones. (To better describe it, you know how if youve ever had a cone made at an ice cream place, the machine pours it into the cone and at the end, you get this pointed top? It was like that, but red and brittle like a thin plastic.) So, in the dream he had me cornered in the stall and I was terrified..he was getting off on that...As the arrow was pointed at me point blank, I grabbed the tip and crushed it. It crumbled like one of those hallow chocolate bunnies you see at Easter. I then remember seeing he had another arrow with the same tip. After seeing that, I remember being less terrified. Thats all I remember. lol Its a strong possibility Rock was a spirit messing around. Im guessing here, but the spirit was likely on his way to becoming a really bad spirit if he wasnt already. Him getting off on my fear was him feeding on that fear I bet. He obviously felt what I was feeling. Much of the stuff Ive seen in my dreams make more sense than ever after watching the Swedenborg vids. On another dream, I remember being enticed by this woman. I was telling her how beautiful she looked. (i saw her from a short distance at an angle). She knew she was enticing me as I could tell she felt what I was feeling toward her (its strange the mutual empathy you have in your dreams) Anyway, when I got closer and looked at her head on, she was extremely unattractive...Borderline horrific. She had the look of a dog with mange. These small slanted eyes with a crusty driedness around them. Skin ashy and dry. Hair brittle and dry..just bad.. I remember pushing her away saying, " thats ok.. thats ok" and walking away. She made no objections like she wasnt surprised at my reaction. Thats all I remember from that sequence. I admittedly had been engaging in lucid dreaming. I had done a ton of research and learned techniques...I also ate certain foods before bed to get me into a deeper dream state so I could stay dreaming while I became self aware. (a banana before bed works great...if you find yourself waking from a dream you want to stay in, spin around and you'll get back into it..it takes practice , but works) Anyway, my reason for doing this at the time was to control my fantasies. I also started doing it to control scary stuff, but then I started doing it for sexual reasons.( Im ashamed for admitting that, but Ive moved on.) And I know better now because the women in those dreams were likely evil spirits I got it on with. Had I been able to see them for what they really were....ohhhhh mannnnnnn...No doubt what they actually looked like, smelled like etc. So if youre dreaming and see an attractive man or woman and you find yourself drawn to them...a sexual attraction. Take a good look at all angles and let what is revealed, be revealed. Lately, I admit of being hesitant to lucid dream since watching Swedenbogs vids now that I know the nature of this stuff, I just dont want to be harassed by evil spirits. It would seem that the more knowledge you have of the spirit world, the more stuff is revealed (woke and dream state). Its fascinating. But I do see myself getting more confident to explore lucidly with this new spiritual knowledge. I have to realize Id be protected from serious harm, not to mention I still have some elements of control.

This is an older video but timely now, as I am trying to discover and remedy why I have such distressing dreams. Not nightmares, just night after night, distressing situations, and repeated scenarios. Like, being with vast groups of people trekking over grassy, treeless mountains, looking for places to live, but we can only find huge, empty, crumbling or dusty cities. Or I travel to foreign countries, and have no local money, can't find my passport, or trying to speak the language, or find someone I have lost. Or it's night, and raining, and my car won't go, or no matter how hard I try, I can't see my phone to make a call for rescue. These dreams are hard work and exhausting and have been going on for decades, and I wake feeling like I have worked hard all night. I do not sense any kind of help or protection in my dreams, nor do I sense angels or helpful spirits. A good dream that lets me wake with a good or peaceful feeling is so rare, I can't recall if it has happened in decades. Strangely I am a person of daily prayer and spiritual effort, so one would think this would produce peaceful dreams.

From what I learned from Swedenborg's own dream journal, I assume that these are reflections of the ongoing struggles of the spiritual growth process, so I don't see it as a negative sign. Really wish you would mention animals too. The subject of why children get abused came up- which is such a sad situation of course, but also animals. Don't forget them.
And WHY is the ‘traditional way of seeing it’ supposed to represent TRUTh? Lots of ‘traditional ways ‘ of seeing things have proven to be exceedingly wrong.
“All beings tremble before violence. All fear death. See yourself in others. Then what harm can you do? Whom can you hurt?” Only someone who has never experienced a close relationship with an animal could claim that they don’t have souls. It is this viewpoint that allows us to inflict horrors on other living beings, and to make a world built on their suffering. Where is mercy then? What does that attitude say about us as beings?
Animals have been seen in the afterlife. They are sentient and eerily human in many behaviors as studies (and internet videos) are showing as never before. Nothing disappears; why would a being as sentient and full of feeling as an animal, disappear? It is not possible. They have not human souls because they are not human. They have their own kind of spirit, created for eternity as were all good things.
Shattering experiences - this might be the missing key I have been looking for. This could explain why I have had so many in my life. Maybe it's a preparation for heaven! What a great idea to think on….. Thanks so much!!

Having read all the Michael Newton books, I would suggest that the spirits without faces are individuals who are going to have a significant impact upon your life at some point in the future. Their faces are hidden from you because you have not encountered them as yet.

Since my husband died, I've been having a lot of spiritual experiences, and some through dreams. Too many to mention here. But I wanted to mention something interesting I noticed about my dreams since his death. If they are not vivid or have some teachable messages in them, I still wake up in peace remembering that he was there in my dreams every night, sometimes just quietly sitting without saying anything, or I'd notice his presence yet not remember anything else about the dream. I used to get frustrated wanting so much to remember the details of such "quiet" dreams. Now I wake up being content with the knowledge that I spent the night in peace and he was there keeping a watchful eye over me. Maybe that's what Swedenborg means when he says that the spirit of the deceased soulmate dwells with the one still living? Though I get signs during the day, I look forward going to bed every night.

The other day I had a dream that would have baffled me if it hadn’t been for this channel, teaching me all that it has.
Remember how when Swedenborg had a near-death experience? I remember learning that he wrote- that once his physical body stopped breathing - he then observed spiritual breathing?
Well in the dream I had, I had contracted the Corona Virus and was suffering suffocation (in my dream and also I believe in reality) where my mind (or evil spirits) were convincing me to stop breathing and my mind (dream state) was seeing it as if I was in a hospital bed after contracting the virus, fighting for my life.
I was in one of those half-dream states where I was observing myself from another perspective. I remember knowing that my physical body was suffocating me but this was being allowed to happen. Once I experienced the full pain of not being able to breath numerous times, I decided to give in to the suffocation.
But then something happened, I felt myself continuing to breath.
I think that is when my angels told me (a loving thought came to me) that this experience that I was having was what Swedenborg was talking about.
I got to witness/experience it first hand, it was definitely terrifying and painful for myself but his faith is much stronger than mine so that is why God chose him lol.
Plus, I would think he to be less afraid after going through so many of these kinds of experiences.
It was just another Tuesday for Swedenborg lol.
The half-dream state that I was in, allowed me to experience my spiritual body breathing. Knowing that we do not stop breathing once we give in to suffocation/the pain of not breathing.
There is so much death happening from the exact situation/experience of not being able to breath. I got to witness what these souls who pass from this virus, go through, and now I can whole heartedly say that they are still breathing 🕊 just felt like sharing .

I'd been grieving over the deaths of a few elderly loved ones in nursing homes, dying alone with no loved ones allowed to visit. I suddenly had the thought that of course they were surrounded by angels -- not alone! Still very painful for the families though.... offTheLeftEye yes such use comes out of having these kinds of dreams. Not going to lie, it was not easy to go through and only after is when I realized its usefulness. Makes me realize that Swedenborg had to carry that faith/breast plate on himself where ever he went in the Spiritual World, to know if he did suffer such experiences- a great reason would come out of it in end.

I have been video recording my sleep to understand the severity of my apnea. On a couple of occasions while having a particularly bad apnea event, I accidentally recorded voices that I cannot explain. I live alone and it wasn’t me. A deep voice said very clearly: “ turn him over” and to my astonishment on video I immediately then rolled over and gasped for air. Imagine my further astonishment watching this video. Swedenborg has finally provided an answer to something that’s been a baffling mystery to me. I’m hesitant to tell this story but because people reading Swedenborg for the first time might think he’s just full of flights of fancy I want to say that know better-he’s explaining it like it really is!

The night before last I had a beautiful experience with my deceased husband such as us discussed at 16 minutes and 16 seconds in this video. I don't dare share anything of this nature with others, aside from a few who are spiritually enlightened because they are open and understand. I find it so sad that many people shrug off the beautiful interactions we have with our loved ones who have crossed over thinking that it's our imagination or evil when in truth these encounters with our loved ones are gifts from God to keep us connected and to show us that He loves us and does not want us to suffer without cause.

If spiritual reality (including thoughts and feelings) are more REAL than this earthly level, how can we dismiss such interactions as other than some kind of balm for our soul? Alison Penelope Pitstop Scarborough I think a lot of it seems wise. However, I just cannot understand a belief system like this that ultimately does not integrate reincarnation into it. How does it make any sense to place people in heaven vs hell when their lives were so distinct. Someone growing up with any love and affection is far more likely to lack empathy. Someone born with a sociopathic brain is far more likely to never experience love. What of these? How would it make any sense to pass judgement, whether self inflicted or not, given the clear evidence that nurture has a major impact on our choices?
Integrating reincarnation suddenly makes it such that spirits incarnate to have different experiences and learn by literally walking on other human's shoes.
The half baked "spiritual reincarnation" idea of Swedenborg seem like a cop out to try and address this glaring problem.
Condemning a spirit for all eternity because of 20-70 years of life on earth seems absurd, no matter the error. What happens to those who die shortly after birth? @@karenreddy These are all valid questions, Karen. And though I am tempted to answer some of them, I will have to restrain myself because I am still young and naive and I could tell you something that is not right.
The only thing I can tell you for now is that you need to read more of Swedenborg's work and maybe even try to follow some other spiritual teachers in search for answers. Contradiction is inevitable when it comes to the spiritual matters. And yes, it can also be painful and discouraging. But as Aristotle once said, “learning is not child's play; we cannot learn without pain”

@@karenreddy there is an episode of, reincarnation. By the way, from my limited understanding, even Hindu Brahmins don't believe in reincarnation. The Hindu description of who you are, Tat Tvam Asi means that you are hooked up to the Truth, call its the Other-Realms or the Absolute etc. The Brahmins say that reincarnation was used as a teaching method. Plato, in his later writings also abandoned reincarnation.
If you were watching more of their videos you would find out that everything happens for some reason, which we don't know. If someone dies young there is a reason behind it and that reason is probably good, but we don't understand it. Also if people die and they were traumatized from childhood and missed nurturing so their brain was affected whole lifetime (Eventually became narcissists or sociopaths) then they will get another chance in the spiritual life to make their decision what they want, they will learn as much as they want to. And they will be in the "societies" in the heaven (connections of the same minds) who are matching their own mentality. If they get into higher state of truth or wisdom then they will automatically move to different spiritually more wise society. State of your mind in the spiritual world will automatically decide where you belong in spiritual world and you will feel good there. But of course we don't know for sure what is the real truth..always listen to your gut feeling. If you strongly believe that there is a reincarnation and it is peacefully resonates with you please stick with it! Higher power speaks to us through our own tools and intuition. Do not ignore it. Everybody has its own truth and that's absolutely right and beautiful until we are not damaging other people's space or life.

Explaining to me what I have been pondering about all my dreams. Oh by the way , a guy in a wheelchair came in to my shop today asking if I sold any dream catchers which I thought was very interesting as my shop is not know for selling dream catchers. And also the guy explaining some medical reasons for sleep paralysis was surrounded with a rainbow aura so much so it was distracting me from what he was talking about so I had to watch it several times. Very interesting as in the past I have suffered from sleep paralysis and didn’t know what this was until now , The entities that harassed me were just about all he mentioned. My method of controlling these was surrounding myself with religious articles. Any way thank you Curtis, you and your team are doing a great job of explaining to me and many others what the good Lord wants us to know, you will be blessed for doing His great will and I can only imagine that Lord has surrounded you with Angels

However, I just cannot understand a belief system like this that ultimately does not integrate reincarnation into it.
How does it make any sense to place people in heaven vs hell when the condition of their lives were so distinct? Someone growing up without any love and affection is far more likely to lack empathy. Someone born with a sociopathic brain is far more likely to never experience love. What of these?
How would it make any sense to pass judgement, whether self inflicted or not, given the clear evidence that nurture has a major impact on our choices?
Integrating reincarnation suddenly makes it such that spirits can choose to incarnate to have different experiences and learn by literally walking on other human's shoes.
The half baked "spiritual reincarnation" idea of Swedenborg seem like a cop out to try and address these glaring problems.
Condemning a spirit for all eternity because of 20-70 years of life on earth seems absurd, no matter the error. What happens to those who die shortly after birth? I lost my husband 3 yrs ago. January this year I lost my only sister. I do not remember dreams if I am having them. Only one time a few weeks after I lost my sister I had a dream about my husband. I could actually feel a very slight kiss, very slight and then he was beside me. I could smell him and we hugged so tightly like we used to, just longer. I put my face into his neck and told him I missed him so much. He smiled and said nothing for a while and then looked at me and said “ Now don’t forget” and he was gone. I have never experienced anything like that ever again and this dream stays with me forever.

i suffered from sleep paralysis for few years. He describes it perfectly. what i find the most curious aspect of my period of SP was that friends who slept over at my house had the experience themselves for the very first time. The crapped themselves!! isn't that weird that they had never had it before but had it when they slept in my house! one time i became very angry with the 'entity' and i showed it no fear and very assertively told it to *!** off...instantly it was gone and i was consciousness flying through space in completely bliss...never happened since...i wish it would . Hi, to all people who have experienced the sleep paralysis that is mentioned in time stamp 34:50 in this video. This is very likely to be a spiritual attack. I experienced this myself multiple times along with frightening experiences of malevolent spirits attacking me. The only defence I found that worked ,was to shout the name Jesus in my mind and to rebuke the spirit in Jesus name. I cried out to Jesus when I had sleep paralysis. I felt the being leave me, and then in a dream i saw all these smiley faces floating toward me.
That sounds like an incredibly daunting experience. Was that the only time it happened?
I watched this again. This morning, before waking up, I was dreaming that I was smoking cigarettes, though I haven’t smoked for decades. I think smoking in a dream corresponds to taking a belief or a teaching into yourself. It’s amazing to think that when we are dreaming, we are so close to other spirits.

Generally speaking, "relapse" dreams are dreams where former smokers find themselves smoking and at some point in the dream, realized they were smoking again and disappointed in the realization - wishing they hadn't started again. These dreams work in the subconscious to reinforce the desire to not smoke in awake life. Some people have them intermittently for years, some people not at all, some folks several years later. More people seem to have them if hypnosis or similar therapy was used to quit. They are pretty neat dreams. If yours was like this Pamela, that may be its purpose - to let you know that, Yeah - you still don't want to smoke! Best wishes!
Okay I promised myself I wouldn't comment on any more videos today🤣! But this is very powerful stuff. I've been taking notes on brother Curtis all day LOL. I haven't watched this much UA-cam in the twenty years I've been on it! I have a lot of Dreams where I am either living in the sky or My First Love (who passed away in 1998) comes to get me and he flies me up into the clouds with him and once we get up there, its this big beautiful house on mountain or ba a ocean. The sky is always beautiful and there's a beautiful flowers everywhere. I've also learned not to go to sleep angry stressed and upset. I've always believed that's where nightmares came from. When I am angry, sad, or frustrated, I would say an extra prayer before I go to bed and that would always help. I sometimes have those dreams where somebody's after me and I'm trying to get away from them, and then I finally Fly Away up into the sky and they don't catch me. I always wondered about those types of Dreams. I love dreaming about my relatives because they are protective in my dreams as they were in life.😇

Here we go. I’m an interested observer in Carl Jung. So dreams. I’ll give you the short version. I had a vivid dream. I was led to embark on a military ship. To do a duty, a happy, purposeful duty. The ship headed East. The End of that chapter. Then, in a rural setting, a 30-40 year old and I were working. A blond, slightly balding man.His face was blurred. Pure love between us. Intimate but not physical. He was tossing the harvest at me and I was sorting.
I tried to sort the produce, but he was prolific. I sorted the ripe tomatoes. Still overwhelmed. I asked, “Hey, you got clean feet? “ He laughed, came over, and I said, start mashing those ripe tomatoes, we have ketchup to make”. End.
When I awoke, I prayed. For clarity. So I asked the young man, “I know you?, “You know me? “Significant dream”?
As series of questions, and each time, immediate response, YE#, YES, YES, YES.
So I went to Swedenborg.
I saw Curtis’ and it was him. I realized who was my companion, coworker, teacher.
The ship is the new voyage. The how, and the sorting is through Swedenborg, via the Word, communicated by Curtis and his ilk and kind.
It was the greatest happiest dream of my life.

Here’s the kicker. I knew Pastor Zaccharias in Kitchener. His daughter Jeannie. The only Swedenborgian church in Canada. It didn’t resonate much. Never went to services. But a seed was planted. Now that seed has germinated, producing a comfort and a peace. An intention to receive His love and truth. G-D willing, I shall too plant seeds. “He who goeth forth in tears, planting seeds, shall in the fullness of time, in joy reap a bounteous harvest”. I paraphrase. We just plant seeds. It’s nothing. Then the almighty does the heavy lifting. Truth, and Goodness. Swedenborg in a nutshell, as you have taught. G-D bless you, give you stenghth. The Swedenborgian take is so easy and the hallmark of truth is simplicity.

Thank you so much for this topic. I am very familiar with sleep paralysis and also commented on one of Peter Fenwicks videos. Maybe this helps someone "out there" to overcome the fear. Here is what I experienced and commented:
I had a fully conscious experience of dying during a sleep paralysis 20 years ago. Whilst fully awake I couldn't control my body, which was immovable and felt extremely heavy with weight. I experienced my heart hammering and absolute fear as well as a feeling of being totally magnetized. I have had many sleep paralysis since childhood but didn't know this was a common phenomenon until my late 20ies. As I "decided" to give up struggeling mentally and choose death, I heard a "flat line" as my heart stopped. Then, the dark heaviness was struck by some sort of electricity, that arouse through my spine. As it reached the top of my head, my body exploded, there was no body anymore but pure radiant light (no tunnel, no imagery), absolute bliss, no time, no bounderies, just love. I knew that I was me, so the individual identity remained. As the question "but what about my family" came into mind, I was immideately pushed back into my body. It felt heavy but I had been given back control. It took almost 20 years to integrate this into my everyday life but it was all worth it.
So as I see it, I had a full Kundalini during a sleep paralysis.
Oh, and btw: I studied most of the Kant material and yes: His writing style is surprisingly different compared to his other writings. He had an issue with women but was a pietist and very liberated thinker. I couldn't believe he has actually written this. Thus, I assume, he did try to protect his reputation.

"Kritik der reinen Vernunft", "Kritik der praktischen Vernunft," "Kritik der Urteilskraft", "Metaphysik der Sitten", "Anthropologie in pragmatischer Hinsicht", "Allgemeine Naturgeschichte und Theorie des Himmels", as well as some essays and "Träume eines Geistersehers", which differs distinctly in tone.
The "thing" with Kant is: He uses Latin grammar and German language. That's why it's difficult to translate his writings into other languages.

Say Curtis - I know this discussion is on dreams. But an interesting phenomena and similar in nature from what you speak of; seems to occur in our waking hours too. Voices of Angels speaking about certain topics get picked up in our subconsconscious and manifest themselves as "vibes". Then these vibes we give off to other people and they are left with these angelic impressions toward something good for their lives. In this way that person receiving that "good vibe" from Angel conversations takes one more step toward God's divine plan for his/her life.

Thanks for the explanation. I frequently have dreams where I'm in a lively discussion with several people. It's friendly banter, but I rarely remember what we were discussing once I'm awake. I have often wondered if they are my spirit guides. or should family gathered around me while I sleep.
I guess we can't know for sure what's happening, J, but pondering them might bring some sense of meaning for you. Maybe those dreams are a reflection of your enjoyment in connecting with people, and you get to do it even when you're asleep! I have no idea. :). Glad you found some helpful ideas in this video!

If I'm asleep and encounter these negative entities or a prolonged sleep paralysis, I find that engaging the heart is the best mechanism to regain true grounding. According to Buddhist tradition, these visual deformities arise in response to the depth of difficulty or distress we hold within. So by electing some level of compassionate empathy for the being (What sadness to exist void of love or nurture/in a reality where each encounter brings recoil/unable to embrace, etc...) and extending a wish of solace for that being, it cannot remain. In the presence of authentic and creative love, life-affirming love, depravity cannot project its intention with success. It can project, but we fail to see the threat or danger in mindfulness of love. Love and trust in the truth of that love diminishes the appearance of power for evil. It then appears as it is, a tool, a mechanism useful for benevolence to compel love, but nothing more.
In other words, moving a finger or toe may spark the neurons to emerge from the paralysis, but with a continued sense of heart paralysis and fear. Triggering the soul to recognize itself, even the presence of ourselves in a hideous, fear-inducing energy, we trigger the greatest energy in existence: LOVE. We share even the most minute fraction of that love with a being who has no reference for life can also plant the seed of evolution in even the lowest forms. A spark of what is possible that was not previously known experienced by that being can aid that being to journey toward greater moments of love. I don't seek out depravity to aid it. That's ego seeking to be a saviour. I merely engage in what I trust most in the face of evil.
We are far more powerful than we understand, simply by being our most humble selves and living in pursuit of wisdom with a heart of love.

The more conscious and closer I got to Jesus, I suffered several episodes or attacks me during my sleep. I have had SP before and it used to occurs while I was awake, awakening or falling asleep. But the more aware I became of spiritual warfare these episodes happened in a way that it seems I dreamt it, at one time I felt being pulled out of my bed, by pulling my feet. I am getting better at dealing with it and seeking Jesus intensifies the attack but it breaks it quickly. I have learned to feel when it will happen as I start to shake the pressure of my body. At times this is accompanied with loud static sound in my head. But the more I learn the more devious they become.. by having very strange dreams that get mixed with SP.
Also... in a dream (very uninteresting) I heard voice, it spoke to me so clearly... on my left ear "you are a demon or you have a demon". I woke in that instant.

Patricia, this is Kendall -- I work as part of the OTLE community team. I have to tell you that you describe perfectly my own experience. For about 6 years (ages 9-14) I experienced nightly what I used to called "the vibrating thing." No one knew what I was talking about. It was terrifying. I only occasionally experience it now at 35. I have been comforted by the hope that my spiritual transformation is taking place, in part, when I'm asleep. I have no idea why that is the case, but I think it is! You are in good company, my friend. You have offered me a gift by sharing your own experience. I've never been able to find another person in my daily life who has shared this experience, and I thank the Lord that this channel is the one place I have heard others like you describe my own inner reality. Last night I had another one episode of SP, this time with the addition of feet pulling and I felt like I was being held by my neck (not choked) as if they were trying to stretch me. The past weeks I have been a little scared of going to bed as I fear another episode. But last night during prayers I asked for protection from Jesus and Archangel Michael and stated you have already defeated satan... so I know this battle is won. I felt that their constant attack is a way of saying... "your God can't save you" to deter me from believing or making me feel as if I am not worth "saving or helping".
It intensifies and stops after calling Jesus, but before it occurred once per night. Now it feels as if they will try and try non stop. I think my next approach will be to not be fearful and send them love (easier said than done lol). You are reminding me that I used to sing children's worship songs in my mind to get through the experience. Sometimes as I sung, the evil spirits' grip (and my consequent powerlessness) intensified as though they became enraged by my inviting innocence to come near me. It still grieves me to remember this -- that it doesn't become easier, necessarily, just because I invite heaven closer to me. It was worth doing because I know no regular forms of aid were getting me through. I needed aid from the Divine himself. Angels, too.

They love to cause fear and the more we feel the bigger their power becomes. So having love for God and trust that you are God's child should deter us from feeling fear. It's not easy cause your reptile brain responds with fear. But not letting it overwhelm me and I do feel sorrow for these entities... I am sorry that they have succumbed to that. So it's bot really love but compassion, I guess.

In the NDE of Sandy Taranto, she was informed about the function of dreams. She says that, at night while we sleep, we all leave our bodies and reconvene in the spirit world. There we coordinate future plans, making agreements with the other spirits as to how our physical lives will play out with each other. I study dreams, and Sandy's account has been my preferred explanation because it explains why some dreams "come true". They are plans for the future, so of course they will come to be. In some ways, this seems to tie to Swedenborg's explanation of dreams, though his account is much more nuanced, revealing the minute details instead of providing the big picture.

I had a dream a few months ago. In that dream spirits told me to rid all obituaries out of my house because it allows different spirits to roam. Once I did that, I instantly felt the presence of peace.

What an inspiration!
About 5 years ago. I had this dream. Please bear with me as I tell it:
My friend and I found ourselves in a place as visitors. I don't know how we got there because there was no traveling to this place; we were just there. But it seems as if we have visited this place a few times,so coming and going was familiar but I could not be specific about this. It was like, I just knew it, somehow.
We arrived at the entrance and behind us were some huge trees on either side of a stretch of land like a peninsula. We stood there for a while and I noticed that to my right the trees were so tall almost like a jungle, with the huge roots growing up on top of the earth making the ground unsteady and difficult to walk on. Sooo many trees about and huge trees too. To our left it was clearer but not entirely so; however, people were about, including children. As we walked in, I noticed there were houses which were wooden and the people looked somewhat poor. Mostly women and children but they were pleasant to us.
We first turned left where they were, then instinctively right where it was even clearer....but not clear, and went into a building like a bar. This building had 3 walls as where we entered was open. There were stools and little tables to sit but only men were in this bar, but boy, were they handsome! They were also interestingly dressed like guardians with the guardian hat, breastplates and armours and they were very entertaining.
My friend got chatting to one who seemed to take a shine to her. One was after me too, but somehow, I felt I had enough and wanted to go home. I expressed this but my friend was so engrossed with this guard that she virtually ignored me. After telling her for the nth time that we should go now, Mr Handsome informed me that I was free to leave or stay, it was my choice but to please note that my friend wanted to stay.
Feeling a little dejected, I left the building and went to speak to the women with the children. They were really kind but told me the same thing that I could stay if I wished. I was clear that I wanted to leave and one or two of the women gave me directions back to where we had entered. I was told that going back would be dangerous. But that I would be okay because I had light on my countenance.
They told me to keep praying as I walked on the peninsula...to keep my hands clasped and pray and not be afraid because they were certain that I would be okay. I didn't like the sound of what I was hearing, but determined more than ever to leave. One of the women was going in my direction on her way to the shops, so I felt really glad that I would have some company but then it somehow became clear to me that this wS somewhere they did not go.
So I set out on my own with a prayer to God for protection in my heart. I couldn't understand why it was so easy to get there but would be so dangerous to leave. Lo and behold, as I hit the peninsular, I was suddenly attacked by hoards of people from the left and the right. The trees were very tall and at the top they overlapped to form something like a mangrove under which was quite dark.
I was sh shocked at these people coming after me. I was praying as I was told to do and walking at the same time but they were gaining on me and I became scared and started to run. These people were pulling at my clothes, my foot...they meant to hurt me. I ran and they ran after me. Somehow in the middle of this mayhem, I stopped being scared and got very angry. I turned to face them and started hitting, kicking and screaming T them to leave me alone.
I was facing them and fighting back when my sister suddenly appeared to my left. Now, they kind of lost interest in me and went after her. Well, I got really mad now and told them that they would not get my sister, I wouldn't allow ; they would not have her and kicked out at one to my left and immediately fell on my back from the exertion....and fell into bright, bright sunlight...so bright it was unbelievable! I fell with my sister and the hoard of attackers suddenly pulled back.
They seemed afraid of the light and picking up on this little piece of fact. I started to look around for stones to throw into the trees so the branches would break and let the light in on them, under the mangrove. But there were no stones and we were safe in the light.
My sister wanted me to go back for my friend but I said no. As she had made her choice to stay there and besides, I wS not going to enter into that nightmare again. Together we moved further back into the sunlight, knowing we could not be harmed. I woke up and immediately, The Lord us my shepherd, 23rd Psalm came to mind and I said it out loud. I was crying...don't know why but I cried and even now telling you this dream, I'm crying....it was over 5 years ago. I think I visited hell...the environment was poor but peaceful, with nice people, but the demons were nearby; they just could not come where the people are and the people avoided them.
I have had other wonderful heavenly dreams prior to this one and since this one too but I've only had one vision ever. and this was over 25 years ago - that's another story.

I've had 4 dreams that were ones for telling things that were going to happen later in my life. The scariest one was one that showed me in an old white building and I had my finger cut off. It was so scary I woke up and sat straight up in bed. I was sweating and freaked out over how real it felt! Months later I took a summer job since I was in college at a temp agency. I worked at a factory for 2 weeks, then one night they wanted me to do some work upstairs. I didn't know they had another floor of this factory. I went upstairs during it looked so different, the top floor was all white tile. It looked familiar but I knew I never saw or been there. About an hour later, I pinched my finger in the machine and by the time I got back downstairs to the foreman I passed out. Long story short, I lost the tip of my thumb and the following day I recalled why that floor looked familiar!
Wow! I know predictive dreams happen sometimes, because I know people who have had them. This is quite a story! I hope you're okay now, and have adjusted to having a slightly shorter thumb!

This episodes topic is something I'm really interested in, thank you so much for this! I think it was the author Nabakov that said "Dreams are anagrams of diurnal reality". J.W. Dunne's theory of time and consciousness involved parapsychological phenomena like precognitive dreams in *hypnagogic states* , our relationship with God, and the nature of space and time as set out in the theory of relativity. Did Swedenborg write anything about pregocnitive dreams or what we call "deja vu" today?
This man is so interesting I want to find out everything he had to say about his dreams! I've been reading about "proprium" as Swedenborg says and i get a little overwhelmed thinking about how these two things relate? Maybe I'm just blabbing sorry.

I have only found one place in which Swedenborg seems to be specifically addressing the "deja vu" phenomenon, but it seems to fit in with all the many things he has written about how we are constantly sharing thoughts and feelings with the spirits around us. When I have deja vu, I assume I'm having a moment of sharing a similar memory with one of my associate spirits. Here's that deja vu passage from Swedenborg's personal journal. See if it makes any sense to you!
"The things written about these spirits of another solar system,* that they did not rest until they reached the ninth use [3270-4], happened to me this very day, as if I had absolutely seen the same things before,** and likewise had pondered what these progressive uses mean, so that they appeared absolutely to have been shown to me before. I like your description of deja vu being a shared memory or experience from other spirits that's so interesting. I was hoping to find from Swedenborg some clue into what the natural function of dreams even is, especially in contrast to our "conscious" waking life. Seems that since ancient times we've seen elements of future and memory in our sleep, but being able to interpret or decode those dreams is a gift of its own i guess.
From what i've gathered from your videos and what little i've read from Swedenborg, spirits are assumed to be able to implant ideas/images/emotions into human minds, right? So could angels and demons (or satans?) be able to make impressive predictions on the basis of probability and demonic/angelic influence: i.e. they predict by extrapolation something likely to happen, then try to make it happen?
I jumped into the implications of the physics of "time" when thinking of precognitive dreams, but now I'm super interested in the actual SOURCE of dreams, divine or demonic.
Sorry for all the dream questions but i basically came to faith through dreams, i had an incredible experience with what i could only describe as the "comforter" mentioned in John.. either that or my heart changing from stone to flesh i just have no idea. Swedenborg seems so relevant to all of this and i have a lot to learn!

Dreams are a link between the worlds, and a link between our earthly and spiritual minds. The source of them can be measured by the goals (if you can sense them) and the results. Any dream or prediction that is striving to stir up fear or trouble will be coming from evil spirits. Any dream or prediction that is trying to inspire love and kindness and positive change will be coming from good spirits, angels and God!

Just watched the first 20 minutes of this before having to get some sleep. Jut before going to sleep I made a not on my phone "Had fresh food after fast, felt great, had processed good, felt tired. Stay fresh" this has been a battle of mine for a while I thought, I seem to be trying hard at it I thought. Went to sleep, and next thing I know I am batteling a giant dragon! and in its side is a building sort of cut out which has loads of different levels, and I have 2 ropes tided around me that I have tied to try and battle this massive beast!

+offTheLeftEye hi Curtis thank you for this, I had these recurring dreams for about 8 months, usually 2/3 times a week, I always felt like there was a presence in the room with me but I couldn't turn around to look as I was to frightened to or I couldn't move either to awake or look. This same dream was repetitive in all manner & form. Each time it felt as though it was an evil being and each time the fear intensified within my body and mind. Until the 31/1/15 this was my brothers birthday, he had passed away 4years ago. That afternoon I fell asleep and had this same dream as my fear intensified I somehow had a knowing that the shadow of a person behind me at my bedroom door was my brother, I don't know why but I said who ever you are I know you are not here to harm me at that point I was lifted out of my bed in a gliding form of movement carried towards my window at this point I could only see my feet but sensed and had full awareness that it was my brother carrying me,
He used my toes to wiggle the curtain on my window then glided me back to my bed where I awoke sitting on the end of my bed. At no time did I see my brother I just sensed him. From that day to this I have never had another dream like that & I was without fail having them 3 times a week. So thank you for an explanation on sleep paralysis. 🙏

Hello, unies! Thanks for the kind words about our videos. Yes, pretty fascinating to realize that dreams come from another level of existence. Swedenborg saw that dreams involve people (spirits) who are near us but live in a spiritual dimension! It certainly shows that we are connected not only with people on earth, but also people in the afterlife.

Dreams are the main gateway that led me to give some credit to spirituality and rediscover my old religious education through a new lens. Dreams with deep spiritual/religious content came to me when I was in a very dire situation in my life, and I can say without exagerration that they were a big part of me giving life another chance.
But the way beings can "pretend to be someone else" inside them is also a great source of confusion for me. Are the angels actually angels? Is Jesus actually Jesus? Sometimes, it's actually really hard to tell. ...and that's probably why most priests in the "official" church always dismiss those dreams as being "demons", and that's why I couldn't find an outlet before finding channels like this.
I hear you, An Angelineer -- It can be confusing! One filter to run it through is: Did the figure (angel or whoever) bring a message of love, truth, helpfulness, peace? If so, maybe that can be trusted, because "demons" do not deal in that kind of stuff. I guess it's not fool-proof, but perhaps if you come away from a dream encounter with new energy and hope, that's probably good!

@@offTheLeftEye There are several cases where I have absolutely no doubt I was with heavenly people/angels in the dream. Especially with the ones that contributed to saving my life.
But since that really hard time 5 years ago, the spiritual dreams have never truly stopped, and many cases in which I am not so sure have popped since.
I actually have picked a little trick from your channel! When I am in doubt, I ask the being in the dream to say a prayer or "I love God" before I accept to go with them. Some beings just are utterly disgusted by the very idea of saying those things, and that seems like a pretty good sign that they are evil spirits.
The only problem with that "technique", is that it does require to be in a state of lucid dreaming. And that's far from always being the case!
But each time I was lucid enough to do that, it seemed to work pretty well. So thanks to your channel for giving me this idea! :D

These days, I even have trouble sleeping at all with all the nightmares I have been doing... I tried to pray for relief, but not much so far.

I'm so sorry to hear about the nightmares, that sounds very challenging and frustrating, and I know how hard life is without good, solid rest!
This is a little less esoteric than usual, but I have heard stories of children with night terrors changing their diet - quitting foods like gluten and dairy - and having the night terrors go away. It's possible that clean eating could make a difference! Obviously we're not nutritionists here, and I have no idea how you eat currently, but maybe it's worth a try if this is plaguing you heavily! I hear 30 days is the standard for a full "detox." So maybe try a month of clean foods - mostly plants - see what happens? If nothing else, it will restore some gut health and give you a physical reset in that way!
Melissa here, and I've been helped a lot by the ideas about eating shared by journalist Michael Pollen, who wrote, "In Defense of Food," a very useful little book for me personally. I am also very intrigued by the Medical Medium, who does share some free detox diets on his blog/website. But that's pretty out there, so you'll have to decide if it resonates with you!

@@offTheLeftEye Thanks for trying to help. But in my case I think the main reason for my nightmares is my dysfunctional relationship with my father and the world view he always tried to push on me.
I make more nightmares when I am near my father. Which is the case right now because COVID and financial troubles have forced me to go back live with my parents.
It's sad to say, but my father is deep in the hellish mindset. He only cares about money, prestige, power, and himself. Everyone in the family thinks he is selfish, lazy, and irresponsible. He drinks a lot, and even if he's not the only cause , he is largely responsible for my depression and subsequent suicide attempt (a toxic work environment and a burnout were another big cause). ...And its the despair of this depression he largely caused from which the "dreams of heaven" saved me.
He is the only person I truly hate. I have given him many chances to redeem himself and change over the years, but he never did. Now, I am tired of trying to reconcile with him. He doesn't want to change. In Swedenborg terms : "He likes hell". I am going to go away as fast as I can from him.
It seems that just deciding that already made me feel better and sleep well. hopefully I can go through with it and this will last.

I could imagine that "dreams" are actually trips to other worlds that exist beyond what we know here. The key to travel throughout the Universe (as in beyond the comfortable surroundings of our little solar system) is not advanced rocket technologies, but, instead, a solid understanding of the mind-body connection.

One trick I use to remember dreams is to NOT MOVE when I first waken. To linger in that fuzzy spot between sleep and awake and just stay still, don't roll over, don't stretch, keep your rhythm of breathing consistent. Then I latch onto the last memory in my dream I have, and follow it to more and more detail. It is like following a path back into the dream where I take note of the colors, objects, or symbols that may be important to me. Thoughts about the dream come like flashes of memory and I do my best to take note, repeating in my head the items on my growing list. Then I let myself wake, but the first thing I do is repeat that list to myself out loud or write it down. It is like sand going through a sieve, it will still be lost if you do not bring it into conscious memory.
When I succeed at this the dream memories stay with me for months or years, I recall them just like real waking memories, others hover in the back of my mind but may reassert themselves when triggered by a smell or moment in my waking life,...just like real memories (but I also remember they were from a dream.)
Just a thing I do, the trick is DON'T MOVE and follow the thread back, then take notes! Hope someone found this useful.
You know Misty I have done the exact exercise you described and I managed to capture my dreams a lot better then I usually do.Thanx for your two cents it means a lot to me.I have always been blown away by dreams and some visions I've had before nodding off.I kept a journal for 4 yrs. and haven't read it until now and all I can say is wow.I could see a history of what the dreams contained and what my life had experienced all that time.Amazing is all I can say.
I "hate" those people that have no dreams or they succeed on ignore them , I dream most of the times, try to forget them but they are coming back in different contexts or sometimes they continue, I dream myself in places that look familiar but when I wake up I try my best to remember where did I see that scenery or detail, if any picture but no, and than another night I would dream myself in exactly same place, they are all beautiful these type of dreams started when I was 32, too old to remember heaven and too young to be close to heaven unless I will go soon :)
My daughter is dreaming a lot too, since she was born I was with her all the time, she stopped sleep in the same bed with me when she was about 10. When she was about 7 she told me she dreamed she was very scared but "the mother of God came to her, took her in her pocket that was some kind of basket and held her there and she was trying to comfort her and she felt very safe" My daughter didn't have any religious memories since she was 4 when we left our country and we didn't go to church to often and I didn't want to endocrine her with the religion I was growing up with because I don't believe in religions.
I have kind of a question. A couple of weeks ago I experienced a sleep paralysis where I saw my wife who passed 5 months ago. I told her that I love her. She smiled. I then told her that I was sorry that I was not able to save her. There were tears in her eyes and streamed down her face but she smiled during this. Then I asked her if I would be with her soon. Again, she smiled and then her hand touched my arm. Almost at that moment I woke completely up. I would like to think that she was there to comfort me and reassure me. At the beginning of this experience I was a little scared but when I saw my wife I was comforted. Which seems to be different from sleep paralysis definitions. Do you have any thoughts of any Swedenborg experiences that are similar?
I want to add that the next day I was doing a lot of praying about this. A little later I felt that there was a message in this. I wrote it down after my sister in law told me to.
Cliff, I would call it a real gift, rather than paralysis. You were given a vivid dream, a tender connection with you life who loves you deeply. Yes, the feeling of comfort is abiding, and real. There is a book called Hello From Heaven which is a collection of short stories like this one. Dreams, visions, a sense of smell, a moment in nature, a voice, all poignant with the strong sense that someone's loved one is close and giving a message of comfort. I am so sorry that you wife died too soon, and I hope that this dream gives you the reassurance that she is alive, and loves you and will see you again in joy. But waiting is hard.

I suppose a lot of it has to do with what kind of a person you are, what you believe in, the kind of medications you take etc, and the type of spirits, good or evil , that are targeting you. Since I have struggled most of my life, I suppose evil spirits could capitalize on my shortcomings and make it worse for me when I sleep. However, I do believe in Jehovah or a power greater than myself. Im basically a simple person, who is learning to love and respect others, like in the Ten Commandments Moses received from Jehovah. Life on the earth IS NOT easy, for a lot of us. Thanks for this video, it helps me with my life .👍🏻🙂

There are so many factors at play that result in our dreams, much of them just a product of how we are all connected with a variety of lower spirits during earthly life. You can trust that those small, steady steps of learning love and respect are leading you in a heavenly direction, despite times of inner and outer turmoil. Those are just the lower weather patterns, but above them, the light and heat are shining steadily!

I've had many dreams from pleasant, whacky, scary, delightful, spiritual, flying, confusing, disappearing and recurring. As well as warning type of dreams and awake dreams or visions while awake that came true. One was of Standing Rock and the pipelines that I posted on FACEBOOK before it happened. Visions of our Hawaiian people and what they went through, and many others. Times I knew things were going to happen. And always told don't give it credence and it's evil. So I stopped telling my parents or other family members. And in my mind if it was something that would scare me. I would tell myself as long I don't say anything it won't happen. But it always did and I would just cry. The recurring dream I had was in black and white, and about my mom and dad. Since I was a child to just before my mom passed a year ago I had that dream. After my mom passed, it stopped. I'm ever so grateful for that because it always terrified me. At the same time weird because in my dream I was a little girl. great connections throughout this program. Also want to add that many of Swedenborg's experiences labelled as "half sleep half dream" could very well be what is called hypnagogia today. Not REM dreams, but a special kind of reverie that we all pass through each night after falling asleep, but most do not recall. Hypnagogia can be developed as a spiritual life practice, much like lucid dreaming.

I wonder if three extremely vivid dreams that I used to have on a fairly regular basis when I was still a child were because of the spirits near me. It made me think I was dreaming of other lives I had lived. Now I think I may have heard these spirits talking about their lives but it felt, in my dream, as though it was me going through the events. That may be one explanation as to why so many believe in reincarnation.
I now ask for protection from bad dreams and since I started asking, I haven't had a bad dream.❤️

I used to have dreams that I was a spy or and officer of some sort and always had the same subordinates under me. We would go on missions to save princesses, infiltrate military bases, etc. We would either succeed or I'd wake up before the end of the mission. Only once or twice (out of maybe 5-10 of these dreams) did I report to someone else above me about our mission details. Now (years later) I constantly feel like I need to talk to Archangel Michael.

@@offTheLeftEye I see a lot of synchronicities (like 11:11, 2:22, 1:11, etc) and have clear messages in my head in the form of righteous urges and concepts. For example, protect people from manipulation. If something doesn't feel right, I will have this incredible warm shiver go down my body with the feeling of either anger or sadness (because of knowing it hurts people or someone is hurt) and I get this urge to protect. Intense intuition basically. It's like I just know the chain reaction.

Sleep paralysis is fascinating and terrifying at the same time. I'm relieved I've only experienced it several times from what I can remember. There is something about not having control over your physical self. The dread that comes with this experience is overpowering and overwhelming. Scary stuff!

I experienced this myself multiple times along with frightening experiences of malevolent spirits attacking me. The only defence I found that worked ,was to shout the name Jesus in my mind and to rebuke the spirit in Jesus name. I wish you could gather more experiences and talk about the flying dreams they appear to me in different stages of my life and different places and contexts, it would be interesting to find out some meanings of those dreams.
This dream at just before 1:00 aligns with the many animals I 🥩 I thought I was going to write meet but it’s relevant- people who carelessly ate meat on the physical plane. Also many who had merkabas as if they thought it was okay- it’s not- to break into heaven!

I'm asking that you pray for my sleep apnea / severe reflux without the burn that affects or constrict my vocal that somehow does not allow me to breathe even with my sleep apnea machine at times. It is interesting to know whether those who claim to have been abducted, can only recall the events of their experience through a dose of hypnotic therapy. Some abductees (possibly thousands around the world) have been plagued by implants which were removed by certified surgeons (some of those can also be found on UA-cam), and the objects were made of unrecognizable materials not from earth it has been claimed. This again brings met back to the ET presence, and whether they can dominate our dream states. He was so unique and I don't believe there was any other scholar in the world who covered such diverse subjects on Spirituality, Scripture and what else is out there beyond our material world, and it seems what may exist on other planets / realms. I will shortly get an annual membership going with the Swedenborg Foundation. I think it is important to see that this support system remains in place for us all to refer our questions to I guess the best way to get the answers to lifelong questions is to go through all the Videos that are listed. It will take me many months to study them all, and in particular Swedenborg's views and theology on Scripture. There is nothing worse in life that to be at loose ends, wondering what to believe, or is this the right interpretation and belief system, and I can't commit to something that is not 100% perfect lol!
Your hard work and your time devoted to this organization is so thorough, I think we're all very lucky you are there to provide us with sustainable information and knowledge. At least we now have something to make our comparisons with. There are so many interpretations out there, especially on Scripture, or for want of a more apt term within the religious institutions of Christianity: dogmas and doctrines. Thank you so much for your kind and heartfelt offerings. Yes, life is very different now. I am just keeping my eye on the day when my turn comes and it no longer frightens me. But I shall battle on for my sons' sake, as life is precious, and they do not want to have to carry the burden of their mother, who has learned to virtually cry on cue these days, but if feels like a great relief once the pressure valve has been released. I should consider becoming a specialized actor who can 'cry on cue'. It is hard to cope when you wake up every day and you're hoping that it was just a bad nightmare, then the reality kicks in, and its becoming akin to running a news real in the twilight zone from which there is no escape.
Anyway, I am sure you know what I am talking about, but the reality is that God has given us relative health, we are active you and I, we communicate and we're serving our human counterparts in our own way and providing support, and that is the 'plan' I think God has laid out for us as individual battlers in life. We need to cherish not what we don't have, but what we do have at our avail. There is always someone else much worse off. So I always try to compare my situations in life to others who are worse off in so many ways, and I feel almost ashamed getting myself sucked into this state of self pity. :)
I think you are one of the most compelling hosts on UA-cam. You are so charged up and do not know where you get the energy from to do what you are doing untiringly. You have no idea I think how much we would miss your presence, and by presenting this incredible information. You are a marvelous 'front' person and that is what a trustworthy religious system needs. We really are very lucky to have the Internet technology. Had it not been for my Agency work responsibilities, by now I would not have been typing this message to you if I had to deal with my grief by myself. Our clients (who are like family as they are so longstanding with us), have also been a huge support. But I also learned that they too were at one time or another in my place. Death seemed like a cruel joke to me played on us by God/Yahweh. But I think the plans is in place and one day we look back from another abodes, and laugh at our own childishness, by assuming that God does not feel for us, as He really does. We are all part of His essence.

Watching this vid brings to mind A funny and fascinating thing..I dont remember the full context of the dream I had, but I remember suddenly being surrounded by these white walls that looked more like doors. My first thought is that I was being held captive like in a jail...then I calmed down thinking this wasn't a big deal. There was a guy who in my mind, I considered my guard or jailer but he was cool and we talked ..we both laughed and smiled. So it turned out to be a cool experience. I wish I could remember details...But I look back at this and wonder was it protection from an attack that I would have been particularly vulnerable to in a way I could not have delt with on my own.
On a different night of sleep, another dream sequence was me being pursued on foot by the actor Rock Johnson (it felt more like the fast and furious Rock , but he didnt have the goat- t)....he chased me into what looked like a park restroom with the enclosed stalls. So I got chased and cornered into a stall...I was on the floor leaning against a toilet and he was over me with a Bow pointed at me (like an archery bow). This part of the dream was very intense and I was scared. When I looked at his face, his eyes flaired in exact proportion with the emotion I conveyed as my fear increased. Its like he knew how terrified I was and his face reacted in proportion to that. Looking back, a funny thing is that the tip of the arrow on the bow was made out of this ridiculous, big plastic pointed type thing that looked like red soft serve ice cream cones. (To better describe it, you know how if youve ever had a cone made at an ice cream place, the machine pours it into the cone and at the end, you get this pointed top? It was like that, but red and brittle like a thin plastic.) So, in the dream he had me cornered in the stall and I was terrified..he was getting off on that...As the arrow was pointed at me point blank, I grabbed the tip and crushed it. It crumbled like one of those hallow chocolate bunnies you see at Easter. I then remember seeing he had another arrow with the same tip. After seeing that, I remember being less terrified. Thats all I remember. lol
Its a strong possibility Rock was a spirit messing around. Im guessing here, but the spirit was likely on his way to becoming a really bad spirit if he wasnt already. Him getting off on my fear was him feeding on that fear I bet. He obviously felt what I was feeling.
Much of the stuff Ive seen in my dreams make more sense than ever after watching the Swedenborg vids. On another dream, I remember being enticed by this woman. I was telling her how beautiful she looked. (i saw her from a short distance at an angle). She knew she was enticing me as I could tell she felt what I was feeling toward her (its strange the mutual empathy you have in your dreams) Anyway, when I got closer and looked at her head on, she was extremely unattractive...Borderline horrific. She had the look of a dog with mange. These small slanted eyes with a crusty driedness around them. Skin ashy and dry. Hair brittle and dry..just bad.. I remember pushing her away saying, " thats ok.. thats ok" and walking away. She made no objections like she wasnt surprised at my reaction. Thats all I remember from that sequence.
I admittedly had been engaging in lucid dreaming. I had done a ton of research and learned techniques...I also ate certain foods before bed to get me into a deeper dream state so I could stay dreaming while I became self aware. (a banana before bed works great...if you find yourself waking from a dream you want to stay in, spin around and you'll get back into it..it takes practice , but works) Anyway, my reason for doing this at the time was to control my fantasies. I also started doing it to control scary stuff, but then I started doing it for sexual reasons.( Im ashamed for admitting that, but Ive moved on.) And I know better now because the women in those dreams were likely evil spirits I got it on with. Had I been able to see them for what they really were....ohhhhh mannnnnnn...No doubt what they actually looked like, smelled like etc. So if youre dreaming and see an attractive man or woman and you find yourself drawn to them...a sexual attraction. Take a good look at all angles and let what is revealed, be revealed.
Lately, I admit of being hesitant to lucid dream since watching Swedenbogs vids now that I know the nature of this stuff, I just dont want to be harassed by evil spirits. It would seem that the more knowledge you have of the spirit world, the more stuff is revealed (woke and dream state). Its fascinating. But I do see myself getting more confident to explore lucidly with this new spiritual knowledge. I have to realize Id be protected from serious harm, not to mention I still have some elements of control.

This is an older video but timely now, as I am trying to discover and remedy why I have such distressing dreams. Not nightmares, just night after night, distressing situations, and repeated scenarios. Like, being with vast groups of people trekking over grassy, treeless mountains, looking for places to live, but we can only find huge, empty, crumbling or dusty cities. Or I travel to foreign countries, and have no local money, can't find my passport, or trying to speak the language, or find someone I have lost. Or it's night, and raining, and my car won't go, or no matter how hard I try, I can't see my phone to make a call for rescue. These dreams are hard work and exhausting and have been going on for decades, and I wake feeling like I have worked hard all night. I do not sense any kind of help or protection in my dreams, nor do I sense angels or helpful spirits. A good dream that lets me wake with a good or peaceful feeling is so rare, I can't recall if it has happened in decades. Strangely I am a person of daily prayer and spiritual effort, so one would think this would produce peaceful dreams.
Hello, Ivorybow! I (Karin) also mostly have dreams that involve feelings of struggle and frustration. From what I learned from Swedenborg's own dream journal, I assume that these are reflections of the ongoing struggles of the spiritual growth process, so I don't see it as a negative sign. Whom can you hurt?” Only someone who has never experienced a close relationship with an animal could claim that they don’t have souls. It is this viewpoint that allows us to inflict horrors on other living beings, and to make a world built on their suffering. Where is mercy then? What does that attitude say about us as beings?
Animals have been seen in the afterlife. They are sentient and eerily human in many behaviors as studies (and internet videos) are showing as never before. Nothing disappears; why would a being as sentient and full of feeling as an animal, disappear? It is not possible. They have not human souls because they are not human. They have their own kind of spirit, created for eternity as were all good things.

Having read all the Michael Newton books, I would suggest that the spirits without faces are individuals who are going to have a significant impact upon your life at some point in the future. Their faces are hidden from you because you have not encountered them as yet.
