    I have an older sauna heater ( tylo sport 8 ) with 3 elements , and only one comes on ,
    But when I first brought the house 2 years ago , sometimes you would turn it on , 3 would be working , sometimes 2 , sometimes 1 ,
    Now it’s only 1 , because of the earlier scenario where more than 1 would come on at times , I suspect there is more going on than just the elements aren’t working .
    Any advice appreciated ? thanks

    Можно с вами созвониться? Не могу разобраться, как подключить heater 240 v? 3 тента по схеме показано или подать 240 на все три с перемычкой или по 110 на каждый отдельно , но фазы у меня то 2!?

    • @FixitAll
      @FixitAll  Рік тому

      На 1:05 видно что 1 и 2 это одна фаза 110 и вторая фаза 110 и зелёный провод земля. Всё. Это всё что я могу сказать про американские 220.

    where is the location of the temperature sensor? I can't find any images on line for the correct location.

      Sensor was installed later by owner. Where? A lot of images in internet with manual instruction. Here is one of them. Look at page 6 diagram, it says 2" from ceiling.

    Kinda a shame you didn't run the wire in the wall with the rest of the house wires.. would have been a nice thought before the drywall went up.

    Can i just use a iso cord and add a 240v outlet under my panel and plug it in?

    • @FixitAll
      @FixitAll  Рік тому

      Yes, you can use a cord like in dryer for 30-40 Amp. And must have separate breakers in case of shortcut.

    they do come with out chord, so basically 3 wire chord plugs straight into heater and wall?

      @@FixitAll i see, so basically just a 3 wired power cable connects into the heater and directly into wall?

    • @FixitAll
      @FixitAll  10 місяців тому

      Yes 3 wire cable, and you have two options:
      1) connect cable straight into the wall (to the main breaker panel) like I did.
      2) install outlet on wall and plug on cable.
      From my experience, no one install outlet and plug, because the sauna not portable and there is no way to move in from one place to other in the garage or backyard.
      So just do cable into the wall.

    This model must be < 8000 watts. The KLB-80 internals are wired different. You must have one of these mods KIB/FLB 30-60 (3000w-6000w)

    I'm confused on why there is no natural wire. I see 2 hot wires coming from the breaker directory to the heater but no return path for the electricity circulate

    • @FixitAll
      @FixitAll  3 роки тому +1

      Inside the heater no circuit for neutral wire, ground only, so that's why i used 3 wire cable. Two x 110 Hot and copper ground.

      Inside this heater just a coil and thermostat. No other electronic device or boards with micro components which requires a neutral wire.

    At 1:02 what conduit did you use to enclose the wire through the vent hole into the unit?

      Same gray plastic. A short piece of gray pipe was inserted into 90 degree box - same box as at 1:19 and 1:45

      You can make a steel hole a little bigger it is need, and screw in to steel hole threaded gray connector, I just don't have it with me at that moment. Like this one www.homedepot.com/p/3-4-in-Conduit-Male-Terminal-Adapter-R5140104/202043511

    Curious as to why you drilled 4 holes (1 for electric wire) is that for air flow?

    • @FixitAll
      @FixitAll  4 роки тому +1

      First of all, this hole was pre drilled at factory. I think this hole designed for air in to sauna and located under heater.
      I just used one for wire.

    Я получил Harvia ТРС 90. на 230вольт из Финляндии.
    Как подключить здесь в Америке с напряжением 127 вольт ? Я живу в Коннектикут
    Можете ли вы мне подсказать ?
    Я могу Вам заплатить.
    Заранее благодарен.

    • @FixitAll
      @FixitAll  3 роки тому

      А зачем 127? В американском доме есть 220-240 вольт на кухонную плиту или сушку белья, или водяной электро котёл. Так что нет проблем подсоединить к нормальной сети через дополнительно установленный брейкер в панель или отдельный маленький щит с одним брейкером. Ну короче точно как я и делал в этом видео.

      @@edgarfigueroa5707 As you can see at 1:10 I have copper (ground) wire, white and black wire to number 1 and 2 (one line of 120v to #1 and another one line of 120v to #2, together = 240 volt). Nothing else was done. No any bridge or jumpers.
      That's how USA residential line have 240 volt. If you live in Europe (or other country) where the 220-240 volt is a standard outlet voltage (in US 120v in outlets) your heater model may have a different type of screws terminal numbers.

    can I use and install NM-B 8-2 30Amps wires inside of my garage without conduit?

    • @FixitAll
      @FixitAll  6 років тому +1

      By code you should use conduit for any type of wire. But, I saw many houses and garages without conduit inside the garage. That's important if you will sale your house and inspector will say you need to fix it before sale. But for living no one will complain about wire without conduit.

Heater must be connected to a standard 2-pole breaker, no GFI may be used. If this heater is connected to a GFI breaker, nuisance trip- ping may occur causing unnecessary and unintended wear on internal components. If connected to a GFI breaker, warranty on internal components will be voided."
