i removed my pir sensor now i have to turn off my light off and on every 15 seconds to go on, how can i make then stay on without turning them off and on the whole time. they are fully charged. and does not come on in the dark.

It's really a bad idea to charge 18650 cells with more than 4.2V, have few of these dead because charging controller allows more voltage. Can you post chip markings maybe we can find datasheet. I can't believe they build it with such flaw and we buy it.
The solar panel can charge the battery to over 5 volts. Not only dangerous but the battery will die in short time. No regulation to limit max battery voltage and current. Rubbish and dangerous
The led light i got has the same circuit, but without PIR detecting any thing, it still run in the DIM mode which consume the battery. I want to make the PIR to switch ON/OFF the light completely and want to avoid the DIM Mode?
It would have been more useful with a close up picture of circuit board and a schematic diagram from a trace. I have a faulty one I can make work manually. One other thing, the PIR sensor is NOT 120' The multi-focus lens is what makes it toggle.
I think it can be powered by usb power source or a 4.2 power adapter right? If the solar charging failed, and re use it on different power source, so no need to throw away. Maybe you can make a video how to power with usb power bank or ac power.

Hi, great video, can I connect a positive and negative wire to the positive and negative ends of the battery so that I can supply a 2.5 - 5v load always even as the battery is being charged by the panel with the lamp switch always off to prevent the leds from coming on at night as my load still runs on battery? Or do I trace the output of the battery before it gets to the pir sensor(that connects the battery output to the leds) and tap my power from there? My concern is can this setup supply a load while the battery is charging? Thanks
You can do that replacing the wires, but im afraid it might make charging slower. you could also buy diy kits to make your own ligt or even a bigger solar panel that matches the voltage of this but charges faster
@@emmnuelj6136 it won't make the charging slower at all. It is the same if the solar cell is in the sun whilst attached to the unit with LEDS outside or inside. It's the position of the Solar cells that matters.

It's possible the voltage could fall so low that its under the minimum threshold for the charging circuit (starting at 5V you only have to go down 0.8V to hit the max charge voltage and the open circuit voltage is 4.7V...soooo not much room to fuck around with)

Only turns on when resetting, stays on 7 seconds and after that turns on half a second when the shadow hits it. Sensor not picking up movement; I bought many and half of them didn’t work. I opened them nothing loose, not sure if it’s the battery but they didn’t work since a bought them. Batteries are not sold in stores not sure if worth to buy them online if they are defective from the source. I don’t have a voltímeter to check it.
@@kentpachi143 No there is not. Any 18650 that claims to have more than 3600mah is fake. Good 18650s don't cost a lot of money, don't waste it on fake ultrafire 9900mah batteries, those are just old Laptop-Pulls with a new wrapper

Under the load the battery charging circuit will be significantly lower than 4.7V. What lithium battery charges that high?
I think I would replace that battery with some sort of lithium titanate oxide battery at about 3 amp hours.

You need 3.7 to 4.2V - you can achieve that with a buck-converter that you can get very cheap on eBay and a 5-24v power supply
