I wasn't sure if it was Chris until I saw your post. Seen him so many time live in Austin with so many different bands. Other than SRV, you ever heard of the ARC Angels? Another incredible band with Whipper and Tommy Shannon. Great to see him playing with great musicians!!
@RobHollanderMusic... And at 68yrs, casually playing a beat that helped make Mitch Mitchell a drumming icon. Chris Layton is on my top tier list of underrated drummers.
I've never heard Samantha play with such authority. She truly does just keep getting better. Her tone was one of the best I've ever heard anyone get out of a Gibson.
Whipper is doing an admirable job trying to fill Mitch Mitchell's shoes. This was the first Hendrix song I heard on the radio way back when and it was the drumming more than the guitar that caught my attention. Of course a few more songs and I was paying attention to the guitar. Greatest music ever came out when I was a teenager, 1965-70
Awesome. I would love to hear her play Bridge of Sighs by Robin Thrower. When I heard the song again a few years ago. First thing hit my mind was Samantha Fish. This song is perfect for her! I know it would be so awesome!
I just attended the venue in Albuquerque New Mexico and I thought she was going to perform. Unfortunately, she wasn't part of this concert. Very disappointed. Still very much enjoyed the show but I was looking forward to seeing her. Well, we'll have to catch her next time!
Samantha is a great player of course, but you need a certain vibe to play like Jimi. Only a few of the pros in the blues/rock genre can do it right. Eric Gales and Phillip Sayce just to name a couple.
Jesus. That's a hard act to follow.... Hendrix played his guitar 'upside-down' too,... making it a whole lot more difficult to learn and play for other people....
I’m a huge Zakk Wylde fan. If you listen to his older stuff, the first Book of Shadows album and his Pride and Glory band in the early 90s in between Ozzy, the man is astounding. He can play anything. He can play country, chicken pick, shred, fingerpick and he is an amazing acoustic guitar player. He also plays bass, harmonica and piano at a very high level. However, I fully agree with you on this. He gets out there and just mindlessly shreds the same pentatonic licks over and over. I think these days, he is selling more of his image and his Black Label Society fan base than anything. It’s a shame because he is an enormous talent.
@@barnetra I have everything he's ever played on, and a ton of A/V bootleg footage. I have 100+ Ozzy shows that he's played on in my collection... and my statement still stands. I cannot stand pinch harmonics... full stop... and he can't go more than 45 seconds without doing it.
@@barnetra I have every release Zakk has ever put out, as well as hundreds of concerts of him playing with various artists.. and I stand by my original statement. He equates speed and pinch harmonics with artistry, which is proven wrong every time he reaches for his guitar pick
I've been following her for close to ten years. She just keeps getting better
sorry i dont follow her and as soon as it opened its trap i thought ,,,no sir not for me
Chris ‘Whipper’ Layton so relaxed and in control, driving the band while making it look effortless! Beautiful Ludwig tangerine sparkle kit too!

Arc Angels, great band! Doyle Bramhall too! Used to cover Shape I’m in in a band I played with a few years ago!
Is it Heroin that makes your face lose any expression? Clapton has the same issue...
😂 always good but this was tight and crisp. Not a copy, but a well played version.🔅👍🐬🎸🔆🎵🎶
I thought that was Chris!
Hey that's Stevie Ray's drummer! Samantha's really burnin' it here.
@RobHollanderMusic... And at 68yrs, casually playing a beat that helped make Mitch Mitchell a drumming icon.
Chris Layton is on my top tier list of underrated drummers.
She is as good as Stevie Ray in her own way
Kenny wayne shepherds bass player too
Sam Fish continues to get better and she was already pretty great.
Agreed. Much more free playing 🎉
You think ! She was put on rolling stones top 50 all-time female guitarists list in 2017
@RealSamanthafish12 Rome, N.Y.. Saw you and Jesse at Syracuse fairgrounds last June, '23. Great show !
Very great! She has been playing beautiful guitar for a lot of years now and I love her😁
She is great, not to mention gorgeous!
I've never heard Samantha play with such authority. She truly does just keep getting better. Her tone was one of the best I've ever heard anyone get out of a Gibson.
Yeah for a sg she's kicking ass sounds good 😊
Just gets better and better.
what a brilliant tribute to Jimi...loved it!!
Samantha is just killing it, love it❤❤
Never a disappointment ! YOU BRING IT EVERYTIME.
Wow, I wasn't expecting to like this (never heard of her), but man, she really brings the show.
She’s awesome.
Marylin monroe performing Hendrix Samantha is the shit
Samatha is damn good and hot!!!.....but, is that Chris Layton from Double Trouble on the drums?
Yes, it is

Chris has been a part of the Experience Hendrix shows since day 1
I thought it was him
Thanks for confirming that's Chris Layton on the drums , but that made me wonder , is that Tommy Shannon on bass ?
Sigh. So super talented. Definite guitar playing. And...so beautiful ❤❤😊
Fantastic to "Experience Hendrix" with these musicians, I am glad that they perform and carry on the music!❤
What an amazing energy. She’s the real deal.
Yes, she did it
Very nice! I didn't think I'd like it as much. Nice job Sammy!
Definitely in LOVE ❤
Hey hang on, I saw her first!
NOBODY rocks the leather like Samantha!
She is great and the band is incredible.
A great talent with looks to match ❤❤
I love Samantha she is a guitarist , guitar player. Her style is self evident. Plus shes easy on the eyes.

Oh, Mr. Jimi and an SG! And Sam. ..That's tough.
Fantastic
Saw her awhile back at the bluesfest in san angelo texas ,long hair and red dress ,she was bad ass then ,great rendition of War pigs.
Of course that is Chris L.Fire is a song cutted for Samantha.Great version.
Chris Layton has the best seat in the house. I have no idea how he is keeping such good time.
2nd best.......
I love her so much
Thats a fantastic groove.😊😊😊
So disappointed that she was not at the Experience Hendrix in Seattle last week
Her guitar work is filthy in the best sorta way! 💯🎉
Now that's what I'm talking about!!! And cool to see a bassist using a tube rig.
❤❤❤❤
wow samanthas solos ! great !
Most definitely a ROCK chick 😂❤
And that’s how Samantha does it! 🙌🏼💥🎶
O M G.,she’s awesome
Sounds like a typical bar band
@@ericschulze5641 Not bar bands I already saw, she is MUCH better. Sorry for you.
Chris Layton on drums, Stevie Ray Vaughn's drummer!
As a Hendrix fan, I approve!😁👍
That voice...... ❤
The white SG is my favorite guitar. Hers is sweet, but I'd have black tuners on it.
Samantha Rocks California!
Blonde, pantalon cuir noir moulant, sexy chanteuse et guitariste ❤. La parfaite rock'n'roll woman❤
Would love to see Sam, Joanne Shaw Taylor and Joanne O’Connor play together
Row 3 CENTER! That was a good day!
Dayum Jimi would approve!
She’s still got it 😉
Саманта- царица Фестиваля!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Not my favorite cover of this masterpiece, but no doubt she is KILLING IT on guitar!!!
Samantha AND Double Trouble...😳 Whoa! Me Likey! 😁
Move over Rover, and let Samantha take over. Words to live by.
sHE IS ONLY GETTING BETTER!!!
Her gee-tar needs to be turned up way louder. Jimi had no problem at all doing that.
I wonder what Jimi would think about this?
Never heard of Samatha Fish but boy she can shread.
Jimi would be proud!!
We got Double Trouble there? Cool!
Yessss! Fucking A right! That is how it is done!
Listen also her, please! #MegMyers 👍
She can rock that 🎸! 🤘
Is that Chris Layton on drums just tearing it up with Sam🔥🔥
Yes
I knew she was good. But I didn't know she was that good.
Chris Layton
I miss her legs and barefoot playing days
Is that Chris Layton?
@rjbennett3418 yes it is
@@BrianMillerConcerts Thanks. I was onto Stevie early but I'm old and slow and I've completely missed the boat with Samantha. Gotta get myself right.
So what's happened to her regular band members, Sarah and co?
Is that Tim McCormick, one of Jackson Browne's bassists ?
@@chuckmatses6803 I think the bass player for most of the show was Kevin McCormick from the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band
Chris Layton on the drums....love it

does/did the backing male singer on the left sing with Carlos Santana? I'm wracking my brains for his name!!
That’s Henri Brown.

Who's on 2nd Guitar??
Drumer is live or..??
who's the guy on bass?
She plays a lot of goofy guitars, but when that white SG comes out the game is ON.
Was Stanley Jordan also on guitar on stage?
Yes, with the long hair (or wig?)
Do you pick up bands in all these different locations?

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
They gave her an easy song to play because her lead playing is pretty basic.

Not bad, but your average bar band guitarist is better.
Nope.
yawn 🥱
I would much rather listen to Samantha play Hendrix than Zakk Wylde, who butchers every song that he performs. She is frickin' awesome
