Ottomans are usually used for your feet depending on the size and use could be used for a seat. Obviously this is for decoration and as a foot stool. Oversized Ottoman are usually those used for seating. She did a wonderful job and this was a great idea!!! She accomplished what she was trying to do and this is very realistic to use.

I agree, only people who don't paint would think that you can't sit on it. A 5 gallon bucket is a workman's chair, every painter and plasterer knows That. It probably won't hold a 200lb and over person. This is just a beautifully cushioned version of a workman's on the job chair.

For my job I work outdoors and I sit on a Home Depot 5 gal bucket every day. I have a round flat throw pillow that sits on top of it that I sit on. Nothing inside the bucket. Easy to pick up and move.

Check Joan's fabric. I found a trim similar to the gold band. It was 9.99 but with a coupon I was able to purchase it for 50% off. Hope this helps.
