Great video I am a new hot tub owner I got an intex inflatable hot tub pure spa plus and was looking for a vacuum I am getting this one for sure thank you so much God bless you always have a beautiful day
Take care
Really great, thorough review. Love your work!
Wow! This was legit the most useful review I've ever seen. Honestly I almost returned my vacuum to amazon because I didn't know that you had to have it fully submerged in order for it to even turn on. And the instructions that come with it are worthless. Thanks for this!
you are very welcome. Thanks John
This video answered all of my questions I had about this product. It was given to me from my SIL without instructions, and I have been trying to figure out the best method for operation since. THANK YOU!
hi ... Why it's mentioned on the box that it's for above-ground pools only? why not for normal pools also?
Appreciate the review, Tim! Been listening to you on TSP for over a year and just stumbled across this video trying to find the best vaccum option for my new 12' above ground pool.
Purchasing with your link :)
Thabks Little Mountain Life we still use it a year later. Appreciate the support :)
I did my research on pool vacuums, and found your video extremely informative. We've used this vacuum following your tips and it has been a great investment. I typically vacuum first with the fine mesh sock on and clean out as needed. I then do a second round without the sock and this works perfect for picking up the larger leaves and grass perfectly. I agree that I've had the same experience as you on all fronts. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Thank you for your honest review and tips.
Glad to hear you had a good experience. We are still using ours. I am getting ready to do a follow up live stream review on Sunday night a one year later follow up. If anything Iike it more now than before. Thanks for sharing your thoughts
hi ... Why it's mentioned on the box that it's for above-ground pools only? why not for normal pools also?
I’m not sure but I cannot for any reason see why it wouldn’t work for in ground pools
@@TOOLMANTIMSWORKSHOP thanks, I have ground pool, and I will buy it
This was a very helpful video! Thank you
No problem if you pick one up please come back and share your thoughts I love getting feedback. I had another community meme we buy one the other day and sent me feedback saying the loved it. Does the trick and for the price it is damn near top notch.
This pool hover is great, I just find that the plastic dome is hard to screw back in place. Any suggestions?
Thanks voor the video. Why is it for above ground pools only?
i am sure you could use it for inground pools as well if they aren't too deep, i might have implied only above ground pools but i amd sure it would work otherwise as well
There is a mesh filter and a fine mesh filter bag. Do you use both? the instructions for installing the fine mesh bag were lacking. Do you have to have the gasket from the filter hold it in place?
I typically used both especially when doing the bottom of the pool other wise it Doran the ab the fine sediment
A year later are you still happy with this vacuum. I am a new (above ground) pool owner and about to buy my first vacuum. Honestly I am a bit concerned my pump wont be strong enough to suck much up. Considering one of these rechargeable options but of course trying to just to justify the extra cost. Thanks.
Morning Paul thanks for asking. Yes I am absolutely happy with this vaccum. It has honestly made pool cleaning so much easier. We use it all the time. I misplaced the charger cable through the winter tired to make my own which didn’t work ie I fried the charger port stupid me and had to order another one lol. And I love that one just as much.
@@TOOLMANTIMSWORKSHOP Great thanks. Good tip on the charging cord. So I assume it doesnt just take a typical phone cord or standard usb.
@@paulflogeras2309 it doesn’t at all, which is the thing that really knocked it from being a 10 out of 10 to a 9 it’s a prosperity end on a USB cord. They are hard to source too just basically straight from intex. But if you don’t lose it like me you should be golden lol
Hey Tim,
Do you use a 5W iPhone charger or a 12W iPad charger? Will too much or too little power hurt it? Thanks.
So confession time . First off to answer your question I use a 5w iPhone cube charger. Now the funny part. I put the Proprietary usb Charging cable in a safe place in the fall and couldn’t find it this spring. Ordered a replacement charger cable while I was waiting I decided to see if a similar style 110 cord I had for a tire inflator would work. Short answer is no. Long answer is now that I got the replacement charger the vacuum won’t charge because I fried the port. So now I have a new vacuum coming in the next week.
I use a Samson charger, works great.
Do you run your vacuum once a month during off-season to keep it in tip-top shape, or just tuck it away until pool time?
I just tuck it away never had any problems
I am have troube with the brush attachment coming off in the pool sometimes. It seems like the body of the vacum is not tight enough and flexes to let the attachment come off. It has screw holes but they are recessed and appear to be covered so that a small screwdriver cannot be used to tighten them. Any help would be appreciated.
Mine fit really tight. I would take and run a layer of electrical tape around the shaft and then slide the brush on and see if that helps. If it’s still lose dry it off and put a second wrap on. I like that idea better than drilling a screw in it but that a possibility as well
@@TOOLMANTIMSWORKSHOP Thanks, I was thinking of doing that and then I decided to get a 5" pipe clamp and put that around the body to hold it together when I turn the head on to the vacum shaft body. I think it is spreading out slightly when I turn the head on. Unfortunately, the mfgr ddi not use screws to hold the body together.
@@danielmcgilvry8049 great idea
Do you have to submerge it in water to make it turn on because mine doesn’t turn on
Yes it has to be under water before you switch it on otherwise it won’t power on
Mine does the same. The instructions even say to turn on 1 first then put in water
I just got mine, and I charged it overnight. I stuck it in the pool, turned it on to 1 today but it will not turn on 😢. Is mine defective?
Make sure it’s fully submerged before you turn it on. I had issues like that as well when I first got it
Mines doing the same thing. The instructions say to turn it to 1 first then put in water
