I just got a 1997 Ram 1500 with the 5.9 and was worried about how much it vibrated and bounced. I'm a first-time truck owner and didn't know how it was supposed to feel. The Ram in this video rides exactly like mine, and it sounds the same too! Good to know there's nothing wrong with mine. Thanks for the video!

I was given the actual page out of the dealerships book when I bought my truck because they were changing over to the next year and didn't need the 96 line up book anymore.

Saw a crashed one on craigs for 2k and a mint one for 22k. Durango is still the cheapest @1500 for a running RT . Dakota rt is $3-5k with the manual, might as well buy a 5.2 model at half cost and build that . Im tempted to just buy a 408 shortblock and swap one into a Dakota or Durango , next upgrade would be tires

Michael Vroman I'm a Dodge guy and they are if taken care off with regular maintance. The 360 are known for two things: plenum gasket (Dodges fault should have been recalled) and valve seals. I own a 97 with 500,000 miles original engine with no overall
Thanks! I got myself a '97 Ram 2500, 230hp 5.9L V8. It runs on both gas and LPG. When it runs on gas, the check engine light is on and won't be as smooth stationary so I got to get that checked but other than that it's a delight. Got 142k miles so should be good for a while!
