Hi Emily & Sean, yes for me the south coast is just to busy, I remember as a 7 year old child camping in the New Forest, some sixty years ago and we had the place to ourselves. Now I think the only areas in Britain that offer some peace and tranquillity for me has to be the north west coast of Scotland, which I have to say is truly stunning. One good thing though you have the spoked wheels that can withstand all of our bloody potholes. Thank you for such entertaining videos you make...
Hi Stephen, yeah it really was busy although it seemed to get better towards the Western South coast. Must have been nice when the area was less populated. Yeah the contrast when we got to the West coast of Scotland was incredible, like a breath of fresh air. Hehe yeah we did hit a few monster pot holes (one can't avoid them all). Thanks! Really glad you to hear you enjoy them 😊
Hi Neil, interesting. We didn't actually have the time on this trip to visit that area but sounds like we should make the effort the next time we visit 😊
I've never been to Stonehenge although not sure I will do now because it's so busy, which is a bit of a shame. But Corfe Castle is so beautiful and has some nesting peregrine falcons in the top tower, high up in an old fireplace.
Not sure what we expecting from Stonehenge but it was a little underwhelming and again crazy overpriced -still a glance from that track was more than enough 😊 Thats cool that the falcons are nesting there!
Yeah a really nice landscape. This was not the official road to Stonehenge, the official visitors centre has a huge car park, a visitors centre and a bus ......but costs £30 per person. So we used this by-way track to get as close as we could without having to pay the entrance fee 😊 See you tomorrow for the next one.
Great episode and great editing. It is a beautiful area to drive through and visit. I enjoy it and also the comment that this supermarket was heaven, hahaha.
The other site is wood Henge on the road to larkhill, And its free. The visitor centre is closer than where you was next to all the van and caravans, summer soltis was not that away from when you visited,
Beautifull landscape and I like those single lane roads. Hope you will find the quiet roads in the following days. Drone views were great. Enjoyed it.😎👍
Hi Ruud, year we love the lanes too! Form here on the roads get quieter and the rides even more spectacular. Thanks for your comment and great to hear you enjoyed it 😎👍
Touring through the South East/Southern England is some of the most congested motorcycling you can do in my opinion. I live in Kent and even getting out for a day out, the roads are never quiet. Better roads ahead for you from now. Great videos as always 🙂
I motorcycle often in the Kent, Essex and Sussex areas and the roads can be busy at times. However, mondays to fridays are quieter than week ends and once you are in the heart of the countryside its often easier travelling.
Hi, yeah we were really surprised as to how congested the roads were. So much so that there really wasn't much point in overtaking as it was just continues traffic. Yeah you're right the roads did get clearer from here on. Still worth it as there are some spectacular sights in the area 😊
Hey Guys, Stonehenge has changed a lot over the past few years. There was a time where you could literally park the other side of the road and walk under the tunnel to the stones and then walk right up to them, I know the by-way that you went on to get a view but there is an actual visitor centre now about 2 miles down the road where you have to park and then there are coach’s that take you to back up to the stones, I think this was all done to make more money and they had problems with vandalising. As a young boy I used to cycle the Stones and then climb & sit on them. Around about the time you were there maybe a couple of days before or after the stones were vandalised by someone throwing paint on them
Hi, yeah guessing it has. That's great that you used to play on the stones as a kid -what great memories 😊We looked at the visitors centre but it costs about £30 each for entrance and the coach which we would rather spend on a couple of tanks of fuel and didn't fancy leaving the gear with the bike unattended, so the by-way gave us a great few and saved us a few quid at the same time 😊. Yeah we saw that on the news! Hope there wasn't too much damage. Thanks for watching and we hope you enjoy the series.
You 2 are awesome, Looks like you had more fun riding through the massive puddles then the Stonehenge 🤣 To be completely honest, Stonehenge is way overrated, I'm looking forward for the videos that you get away from the South as that here is waaaay to busy .
Hi Alin, haha yeah that's very true. Was kind of disappointed in Stonehenge (but that's probably as I had built it up in my head over the years lol) but it's something that needs to be seen at least once i guess. The trip just got better and better from here so looking forwards to sharing them 😊
If you rode from there to Avesbury Henge, it is a nice ride, on far quieter roads, and you can touch the stones for free. I live right next to Stone Henge, its way overrated and idiots on the A303 come to an almost stop as they drive past for a 'look'.
Hi, great tip for Avesbury henge -if we had know about that one i think we would have gone there instead. That must be a nightmare at times for you with the traffic! I can imagine people almost stopping on the road.
Hey Guys, just got to the end of this video and you said that you are off to Lands-end, if there is one absolute must see place to visit it’s The Minack Theatre, you will be blown away 😮😮😮😮 Don’t go to down that way without paying the theatre a visit
Hi, thanks for the tip. Just looked it up and it looks amazing -would be awesome to catch a show there or a musical. Unfortunately we didn't go although will be adding it to the must visit next time list 😊
Glad you had Abbottsbury on your route. Tbh we always bypass the south east as there’s not much in the way of great riding and scenery until Corfe Castle heading west. Wish we could’ve met you guys en route but you look tired and we are flat out with our business. Tesco’s teabag section 😂😂😂. All the best to you both. 😊
What a beautiful town Abbotsbury is, a lovely ay to finish the day off. Would have been nice to meet up, but each day was really hard to guess how long it would take us to get anywhere. Lots of nights ended up with eating a pot noodle in the hotel room as we arrived after the kitchen shut 😂. Haha i think Emily's favourite moment of the trip was the teabag section in Tesco lol Cheers mate 😊
@@SeanandEmily The reality of touring! Worth it for the adventure ✊🏼😉. You guys really do a great job. Appreciate your hard work and commitment to the vlogs.
My understanding is that Stone Henge was built because there was nothing decent to watch on TV that weekend. It probably never entered their heads to think of what a nice little earner tourist trap it would be in the future.
Hi Robert, Yeah not the best section of road and very busy!! As you say some great B roads in the area though if you have time. You live in a lovely part of the country and not too far from the coastal roads too. 😊
Yeah i do agree with that, there's so many concealed exits and entrances and with the amount of traffic in some areas people seemed to be pulling out of nowhere at times. Still keeps you alert, Thanks and you too 😊
I was surprised to see such potholes in a country as developed as England. Why don't you go to Stonehenge, is it because the tickets are very expensive or because there is no parking space. What I like about your trip to England is the vast green views and small villages with thatched roofs like in fairy tales.
Yeah it's amazing how bad some roads have got in the UK (but the road to Stonehenge that we used is not really a road so don't think the whole country is like this lol). Yeah we deemed it too expensive to get closer to Stonehenge £30 per person we just couldn't justify. There's a giant carpark and visitors centre where you buy the tickets from, or you can ride up this road to take a little look. Yeah the thatched roofs and small villages are truly beautiful. Thanks for watching 😊
The average length of time spent at Stonehenge is 15 minutes! National Trust data. The road you saw is typical of those approaching old monuments under the care of the NT, try Badbury Rings if you don't believe me!

Stonehenge visit? It's a shame you didn't visit it. It would only have taken an hour or two out of your day. And staying at the Manor it is a real shame you stopped at Tescos because you missed a real treat. The chef there is brilliant.
It's £25 each to go and get a bit closer to the stones with hoards of people, which for us was just not worth it. As we do big days on the bike we often grab food at supermarkets as not only does it reduce costs but also saves us time. Many thanks for your positivity
How can you just drink one pint? I can only seem to have 4-5 each time I get the opportunity , nice vid though the prices at Stonehenge like many things in the UK seems nuts at £30 per person just not worth it to my mind...
