I love Rosie, Nish, and James already but I never realised how much I'd love them all together.

Happily, it wasn’t a fluke. If you haven’t seen it yet, the recent-ish episode of “QI” with Rosie & Nish is very funny as well. (I *think* Gyles Brandreth is the third panelist, but I might be conflating two separate episodes.) Rosie and Nish had apparently just finished touring together, and it showed. ;-)

Best albums of 2016 for me are High Visceral 1 - what an amazing album - and Everything you’ve come to expect by Last shadow Puppets (imo way way better than their first)

Does anyone know what the 5th album on the wall is? Recognise it but can't think what it is.

I'm just gonna watch everything I can find with James Acaster talking about music from 2016 to see if I can find at least a mention or two about Kpop or Jpop that came out during that time (don't think I will find anything, but when he said he bought 5000 albums from that year, well, there's just that much music you can find in English released on a calendar year, you know?).
Btw he looks SO HOT during the introduction.

dk if you’ve seen it but James actually did a video for Anthony Fantano (The Needle Drop on youtube) talking about his favourite albums of 2016 and a good few of those weren’t English - don’t think there was any k/jpop but might have been some k/j-rock or less mainstream stuff. not sure if he goes in for pop quite as much as other genres. you probably already know this but he also has a podcast talking about 2016 music and the albums they talk about are usually in the discription so if you’re into that genre then that’s a quick way to find albums you recognise

It might be the delineation between music that people have made because they believe in it, and music that corporations have generated because they want to exploit an audience

Anyone else think James has changed? Not in a bad way or anything he is just less James?

Nah he's just not in his comedy character I think this is who James actually is. But fuck know neither of us know the guy !!

This is his actual professional personality, in his standup and on panel shows he is playing the comic personal of "James Acaster". I like that he has two streams of his professional life. He is genuinely interesting on music and his commitment to music is equal to his life in comedy. So its great he can do both.

@@MS-dh9gh yes! He has a kid with his girlfriend and she is expecting another one. A fan apparently saw him with a pram and his partner (she’s a dancer in London and she’s supposedly very pretty) and she had a baby bump too. This was told by a fan on Reddit and not many people know.

If he had any kids, it would have gotten out by now. His girlfriend is not even a dancer. It's really weird to believe randos off reddit.
