“It’s nice that the devil tries to better himself every once in a while. You never hear that about god” 😂😂😂
Joe Lycett? A treasure of a man. James Acaster? An absolute delight. Together? Yes please. This was ridiculously entertaining.
I’ll never get over James’ story on WILTY, about the cabbages 🤣🤣🤣
"Nice to know that the devil tries to better himself every now and then, you never hear that about God" XD XD XD XD XD XD
1:17 Just for fun, or as James would say from his stand up, to play devil's advocate (or...God's?), there actually is a verse in the Bible about God bettering himself. Hebrews 2:10 talks about the Isaiah "arm of the Lord" (or the Messiah) becoming perfected through suffering.
Because yannow, in order to be the perfection of all things you also have to be perfectly non-static, in order to fulfill the Jewish Shema (Deuteronomy, "Adonai Eloheinu Adonai Echad," or he is one, so has to be the best of all things, making him a paradox of growth that is unchanging in his growth).
Love, a historian who studies Hebrew shyte!
Of course, James spent 5 years not drinking caffeine, so now, to him, diet kalimotxos taste like normal kalimotxos 😂😂😂
James is like the perfect guest for this show. it makes me want to go there just on his food reaction, honestly!
They could almost be brothers in looks and how they play off each other so well. Brilliant!
It's delightful to see other people doing happy dances over their food! 😊
I've just listened to Off Menu ep.200, where James talks about this French toast and, by his reaction, I can see why this made his dream menu lol
Joe and James are both incredibly talented comedians. Put them together and you have magic! Love it!
James is funny
I know this isn't Just Puddings but I still wanted James to describe the caramelized French Toast experience for Ed Gamble.
I need more of these two together. Love them both.
Joe and James are the type of people I like to eat well with and drink happily and slowly through the day. Smashing!
I also enjoyed watching James Acaster drinkin' with all his determenation, from both the glasses at the same time 😄🙏👌
This was my favorite episode of this already delightful series. They vibed like brothers.
Born and bred in Bilbao, so very happy to see these 2 troublemakers there. Segment was way too short though; didn't make the Basque Country justice but I guess most of us just watched the video because Joe and James were in it and don't really care about the traveling bits. As an aside, a shame that the green north of Spain is still so unknown in the UK. Not just the Basque Country but also Cantabria, Asturias, etc. It may be rainy over there for a long part of the year but the magnificent beaches, fairy tale like forests and magical mountains more than make up for it.
No, it's not a shame. It really isn't. It's a blessing in disguise it hasn't been discovered by the UK masses. Think what's happened to the costas and Benidorm in particular.
The full video is linked in the description!
That French toast with vanilla ice cream looks divine.
Id 100% see James in a Fascinator.
I've heard of a funicular railway but never saw one in action. Cool. Ooh, caramelized french toast and ice cream - it does look orgasmic; I'd probably do a little dance, too. 💃 Great clip of highlights, this was!
Traditional Basque Country dances - and dancing attire - are way more similar to the British Morris dance than to your exotic Andalusian flamenco emoji, unfortunately 😂
These two together were a trip! Loved it.
Such a joy to watch these two... remind me of brothers the ease they banter with each other. Thanks xx next trip is bilbao
Wouldn't Coke and red wine just be Coke au vin?
Perfect combination there.
What a dream team.
My boys!!!
If we were on a date that would have sealed the deal 😂😂 😂
"Fact me up!"
omg there are TWO of them!? *hits play*
Nothing makes me want to travel more than seeing James evaporating into his constituent molecules at the taste of caramelised french toast
Wow, a banter-free zone!
😂 "fun" in funnicular.
Oh it’s the GeoGuessr building!
Where I'm from in Ireland there's a place called Bilbao & I've never been able to get to the bottom of it.
where are you from???
The general story suggests that a Colonel John Staunton Rochford (1802-1844) returned from fighting in the British army in the Napoleonic Wars. He was credited with some act of valour while fighting around the Spanish city of Bilboa. Hence he became known as Rochford of Bilboa and the area was thereafter known by the same name.
The look like brothers
s'not a "password", s'a 'security code'!
What was that, ‘Mt A-chunder’?
benefits from repeat viewings, imho!
Travel compatible
we need a lift like that in Moutiers ... hail, Mairie! (btw, James, am v capricious/fickle unfortunately. greetings to your mother, whom im certain is "thrilled"!
Somthing tells me there a llittleeeeeee um .". Sparkly "
Joe is. James isn't, actually.
Hehehehehhehe😄😆😂😄
Dejan Kulusevski
No one is better than Richard Ayoade
who needs therapy for religious trauma when you can just watch the clip of james calling god arrogant
To all person who's reading this, you will grow your UA-cam channel one day. Don't give up! lets hug everyone.
The best blonds in Britain.

Nooo Kali and Motxo were friends! Motxo doesn't mean ugly it was a guys nickname!!!
In Basque there is no gender, in that aspect is like english.
Nah it's called a bucktember in South Africa, red wine and coke, much better name.
There's no sound.
Your phone's broke
Have you tried turning it off and on again? (The IT Crowd.....best comedy ever.)
Turn your volume up
Too upbeat, anyone that thinks wine and coke is a great drink should never give advice on food.
I honestly think that Lycett is one of the worst comedians they could have picked for travel man. He is funny, don't get me wrong, but he's rarely doing well when interacting with other comedians because his brand relies heavily on self-presentation. Ayoade is funny because he's got a dry humor, and can lighten up a situation with quick, witty responses without stealing someone's spotlight. Ayoade could be funny while being the straight man. Lycett doesn't seem to have that same talent.
This episode was a disaster ....acaster is just not funny
Great to hear from you Nick, they'll send your comments to top men. TOP MEN!
Are you lost?
