Huge shout out to you man! Found your videos 2 years ago when barber shops closed due to Covid. Was paying $20/week for haircuts in the Marine Corps. Had to still get one, so started cutting my own. Definitely worth buying your own clippers kit, I've cut my own hair for 3 years and it's worth it, although 1st try was not the best eventually got better 🔥
I totally agree to the full extent that you obviously save TONS of money cutting your own hair. But just curious and a little confused about how you are calculating the total amount spent going to the barbershop. Because the 50 + 5 actual spent cash makes total sense, and so does the “money is time, time is money” aspect. And even the gas and tolls. But the money is time and time is money doesn’t apply to this i feel like. Because realistically you aren’t making said $20 p/h while you are off the clock going to the barbershop and waiting for the haircut. And this goes for cutting your own hair too. Again I get that $20 p/h is the average wage and it takes 1 hour to cut your own hair but, you’re not making $20 p/h when you’re home cutting your own hair. You’re probably at home after working your shift and decide to cut your hair. So I just feel like you’re not spending any money at all on your own haircut. I know this is probably explained pretty poorly and I repeated a lot of words, but I hope it makes sense to you. Again I obviously agree with your overall point and claim, but I don’t think that the money based on time is actual money you’re actively saving.
I guess simply put, each self haircut in my own opinion is free and you’re saving said 50 + 5 dollars on each haircut
