I honestly can’t say I’ve ever seen a more honest review on any vehicle. Really appreciate the non-bias review. What killed it for me is the squeaking. That would drive me nuts. I have a 2012 FJ cruiser and that thing is solid. Really was wanting to get into one of these but I think I’ll wait.
Great review Sam! Regarding the exterior door mirrrors being mounted to the front cowl, I read that the reason for this design is that the Bronco’s doors are fully removable. With the doors removed, you still have use of the side mirrors, unlike the Jeep Wrangler in which when you remove the doors, the mirrors are removed as well.
I'd love to have one. I'd go camping, fishing, metal detecting -- great fun! Thanks for the excellent Review!🙂 Changed my mind. I wrote the above before hearing you say there's lots of hard plastic and rattles. Bummer!☹
Price as tested before dealer markups... 😂😅🤣. The "vents" are at the bottom of the front seats. I really wish they made the Wrangler/bronco without the removable stuff. It'd be nicer to drive and when I had my Jeep I took that stuff out maybe 4 times.
Out of 100 reviews ive seen for the Bronco, 1st review to say it rides tougher and harder than a wrangler !!?? What about the Belstein shocks, what about the independent front suspensions. Thats weird!
That didn’t make sense to me either. I have a Jeep Rubicon JL & on a dirt washboard road, it will bounce you thru the windshield if you aren’t going slow.
He said it has a "tougher and harder ride off-road", but a smoother ride than the Wrangler on road. Which does make sense because independent suspension is designed for on road comfort. While off-road an independent suspension doesn't provide as much stability as solid axles do.
@@jlv3x my Jeep will throw you into the roof on the slightest of bumps on a dirt road, don’t even mention whoops or washboard. I’ll find out next week when my bronco gets here. Sold my Jeep this morning.
@@jlv3x got my bronco last week. Took it down a washboard county road at 65-70 mph. Soaked it up just like a Ford Raptor. A lot smoother ride than my 2021 Rubicon.
@@joebartlett3255 thanks for that verification, this review seemed out of the norm. Preproduction model perhaps? My Badsquatch is in production now! Can't wait.
Great review! Unfortunately that great engine sound is pumped in. This vehicle could have been great but it's mediocre. For the price the refinement etc. is definitely lacking.
Have you actually driven one? Not likely. This vehicle is anything BUT mediocre. I'm driven the Badlands extensively in Moab on two different weekends, actually doing real off-roading/rock crawling that this vehicle was designed for, on trails that require the use of lockers and ground clearance. The price and refinement is exactly where it should be considering the tech included, the value of the Sasquatch package, the pricing of modern vehicles in today's market, and what this vehicle was designed to do. Should they have included a nicer dash (fewer hard surfaces) option for the people that will buy these that don't actually leave the pavement? I guess so. Years of focus groups of Jeep owners led Ford to design it this way. Would I feel more comfortable getting this interior extensively wet than a leather-wrapped Jeep Sahara or Rubicon? Yes. I have another vehicle with all of the leather amenities. Moab is practically in my backyard though, and I actually off-road these machines. From what I continually read in these various forums, most people don't. That's fine. I love Jeep and I'm a big fan. I've owned a Wrangler, and I'm certainly not against owning a future version of one. I can tell you though that this vehicle doesn't rattle any more then any other vehicle with a removable top I've ever driven. And I don't know what this reviewer is talking about when he says the Wrangler in its current form is a better riding vehicle off-road? If you are comparing apples-to-apples trim Badlands-to-Rubicon, there is NO way a Jeep has a better ride quality, off-road or on-road (especially on-road). It's not even close. The advantage of IFS I guess. And whatever disadvantages an IFS front suspension brings compared to a solid axle in extreme off-roading doesn't really matter anyway, because only about 2% of the people that buy these vehicles are going to run a trail where you could actually see the advantage of a solid front axle. This Bronco can do 95% of what a solid-axle rig can crawl through, and like I said before, only about 1-2% of people would even attempt a crawl where it would even come into play. Ford hit a home run with this vehicle. Jeep is awesome too. Competition brings out great things. Don't be shocked when the Wrangler eventually ends up with IFS in the front, which I think will be coming.
Just so things don't come across as too one-sided, I will say I do appreciate rear AC (with a top on), and I think Ford should have thought that through more, especially people with kids and dogs to put in the back. Not a huge deal breaker though. Also, the interior noise (on pavement with the hard top) is a bit louder then anticipated, and I'm not sure the sound-deadening liner makes much of a difference in its current iteration.

made that same mistake: got a Ford, and sold it in a year bec. of the rattling. and the dealership just couldn't do anything about it.

I think the Uconnect system is better. Also, why does Ford have that damn chime sound in everything. Hate it.
Another great review! Wonder if Ford will be putting the 5.0L Coyote V8 under the hood?

Why do you dislike auto start stop? Is it because you get paid some after market accessories provider who provides bypass switch.
Its annoying AF and unsafe in many vehicles. If we were being paid by companies who make defeat devices we'd be shilling for them no?
How i didn't know you before?????

I think if he was running 36 pounds in the tires it would’ve done way better off road
