My Late Dad who was a certified welder for 60 years gave me the best advice about welding ever. He said Always weld the Very best that you can, because your life or someone else's might depend on your weld holding. I miss both of my parents more everyday. 6=8.
Dude how about wearing proper foot wear when working on frames? Just saying.
I see you've got the official Freiburger approved Footwear going on at Lucky's garage. Nice.
You know it!
Frieburger approved OSHA sandles.
Dude, did you hold your camera and swing that sledge at the same time? Talented. Enjoy your humor.
Sandals is wild lol Always love Lucky 🤟🏾💯
Good to see Lucky gets, I'm just busting chops and I've been a big fan of his work.
Hello lucky, You seem to be a fine builder brother. I need someone like you working on my '67 C10. Like your videos man they inspire me to do things the right way. Mine has a rebuilt 383 stroker backed by a rebuilt 400 turbo trans. I'm working on putting new stock drum brakes on it now. I'm hoping to be driving it by the end of the month. You keep putting the videos out and I will keep watching them. You take it easy brother.
Ray Charles been welding with his feet again.
Much from Guam/ Washington state 🇬🇺🍻🇺🇸🤙🏾 you say sema build 23 hell yah, just got my ticket last week before prices went up haha see y’all there!!
Well, you can use the bed to store the parts for the truck; very convenient! And, nice work with the patented shock mount persuader! Have a good one, Lucky!✌️❤️🙂🇨🇦
Gittin' 'er done. Frame is 100% better already. Cant wait to see more. Thanks for the update Lucky ✌
10:56 LOL the weld goober just flaked right off 😂😂😂
All GMC's had leaf springs and Chevrolet's had coil springs back in those days.
I believe the GMC was standard with leaf springs, where the Chevy had trailing arms.
Great video.
Very cool
Lucky's been shopping at Frieburger's footwear, famous for flip flops. Come on down they're giving them away!
I'm your apprentice helper. That would be fun.
Those shock mounts look like my nose when I’m sick!
Nothing like having the right tools for when y'all need to do that precision work. 😂😂
those where some bugger welds, keep up the good content Lucky
Very nice!
I have a 71 Chevy C10 that has trailing arms. My 72 Chevy C10 has leaf springs. Both V8 trucks.
After you chisel the heads of the rivets, switch to a round punch bit in the air chisel...it knocks them out quick
Good work love to see jobs done right fellas! Can't wait for more!
Only Lucky can do custom fabrication with a slag hammer 😂
Looks like Lucky and Freiburger use the same safety shoes…😂
Those are some nice looking bits ! best days to ya Lucky 👍
Thanks, you too!
Shock mount looked like ray Charles welded those. With his feet …
Great video Lucky! Make sure you list part #s.... I am doing my 69 C10 and following....
Me too!
1:33 Holy hell! That looks like a piece of broccoli!
:)
Surprised those booger welds on the upper shock mounts even last a tripped down the road lol
I aporeciate your channel! I work on my own cars in my garage and I need some advice on a purchase. I need to get a shop press to replace bushings on some lower control arms and a track bar. I want to purchase something that will handle other jobs i will run into like wheel bearings, rear end gearing, etc. What size press do you recommend? I was looking at a 20 ton or 30 ton. Just didn't know if a 30 ton was needed for such jobs?
I had a 72 c/10 with rear leafs little better for a load better ride w/coils and truck arms
What some people do.
Are those safety toe flip flops?
Some of the cross members and factory holes are different from the Coil trucks to the Leaf trucks.
Thus adding a little complication to aligning the C notch which you found out.
Yep. So I mounted the diff and used the housing to align the kit. 👍
Black women be really cool if it's done like yours hey have a great 4th of July later ❤💪👍🤘🇱🇷
May I suggest, that you wear steel toed flip-flops!
Put in that frame kit you put on your c10
Safety toe sandals ? Stay safe my friend.
Would you be willing to sell those rear leaf spring brackets
Desketchification nation
GMC had leaf springs
Watch them toes !
Luck your working in the shop with your open toed osha approved boots again 😂
Whoa watch those feet 🦶! Can’t afford to have you get hurt and no more videos 😅
GMC frame
Whats up with Cali guys with wearing their wifes shoe's?
3:35 The things you discover when taking the body off the frame. Cold welds are super cringe causing.
The frame rebuild is looking great Lucky. Nice job which is par for the course with you! Thanks for another great video!
Flip flops ? Really ?
