- Flushing/Main St-bound MTA NYC Subway 7-express train of Kawasaki Heavy Industries R188 cars passing 74th St/Broadway. CBTC seems to have increased the speed of 7-express trains through this station!
This video was taken on October 25, 2018.
This is why the R188s are excellent on express!

What about the other ones? Lol
I love MTA trains....i work as a train driver for CTA and I'm a huge train fan just like you are.
Nice, this is faster than I'd expect.
Septa subway express trains run up to 70mph.
This train shown has a design speed of 70 mph
Now that's what I call railroading subways high balling
Now that's what i call express
I can see the sparks flying
Not bad, clocking in around 45mph
Close to 50 MPH Most of the time
Connor Fitzgerald how can u tell it’s going 45
@@bowhello it's just railfan intuition and knowledge of NYC subway lines for me
Why the flashing green lights?
CBTC active in this area.
@@mtattrain cool! I had to Google that by the way! LOL
i remember the redbird i was on that train in the 90s right going to flushing and main street leaving woodside av om express track depend who driving the train omg thats traing its fast but when they reach junction blvd gots to slow down thats how fast the train was running
Now the 7 Express can haul ass.
Nice video

I like it
If You Make It 2x Speed, It’s 90mph
That is super fast
Look at those sparks coming out the third rail
Yep that’s why you never put any metal objects on the tracks and trash has the train passes by because the train moves so fast and it can ignite wood with those sparks and hit the metal on its train wheels causing a track fire to happen and causes delays that’s why there’s always trash bins
@@KatieHuni that is very ture
