Great Horned Owl Face on Blackwater Eagle Cam | 2.9.24

We got a good look at the face of the female Great Horned Owl who is incubating 2 eggs on our Eagle Cam nest. The video also shows how far these owls can turn their heads without moving their bodies. Great Horned Owls can turn their heads up to 270 degrees due to their unique cervical spine structure, an advanced vascular system preventing blood supply cutoff, and strong neck muscles, enabling a wide field of vision.
