I just remember being around 17 or so when I first watched this knock down beauty skate..and 30 plus years later she remains one of the most beautiful women to ever exist in my opinion..and lots of peoples opinions! Never be another! Thanks for posting!

Never was the figure skating fan kinda guy BUT have to say watching this beauty skate brings back memories of being mesmerized by her astounding grace and ability to capture people's hearts simply by performing her craft. Was a teenage boy when I first saw her in Calgary Olympics and boy oh boy was I in love..haha..AWESOME

Yes she will be the best maybe for ever..i can,t imagine there will be ever an Artist on the ice as her caliber! But so many tried so hard but missing their soul on the ice...and more then that.

After seeing this, willing to consider her for new number one.
seeing this only proved what she already were:. charismatic, beautiful, enterteiner, stylish, class, artistic, etc. one simple word: true lady. she was and still is one and only queen of ice. i have seen many other skaters in her time and others after her career. in my opinion, to change the rules of figure skating wasn't necessarily the best thing to do. it changed the basics of figure skating - i think maybe forever - to wrong direction. i mean, today you won't even have hope to win if you don't do difficult jumps. also even today you could be artistic, but without jumps, you can't win. maybe katarina wasn't the best in technical way, but no one get even close to her artistic skills, even today.
may i politely ask from you, who would have been your number one before - and we speak ladies side - seeing this??
Katarina’s artistry is second to none. Technically she cant compete with the young skaters. Jump after jump is what they do but for artistry none of them even come close to Katarina

I remembered she played the role of an elegant Russian figure skater by the name of Natacha before she was gunned down by a Russian sniper while she was skating to Sergei Rachmaninov Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini opus 43. Anyone remembered it from a movie? It’s called Ronin released in 1998.
