they were on a few songs from Fight the Silence
check out A call to arms, Crown of thorns, The only name. he does some pretty great highs in those! but the ones in this one probably top them all.

How can anyone say this is generic ? Am I the only one extremely impressed with the way For Today evolved? Listen to break the cycle and fight the silence then come back to this. This is refreshing and new. I love the way the chorus is too, it's super catchy but gets you moving too. People just hate to hate. For today will always be one of Metalcores finest bands.
+tdwpvsabr I have to agree with this statement wholeheartedly although I loved break the cycle and fight the silence, They do seem to sound little generic but not so much it's still them, But this song and forced into fire are a force to be reckon with, And possibly the album Wake could be their finest hour even beyond Fight The Silence.
got to see them live a year or two even their old songs went hard live like seraphim and fearless
i saw them at one of the last shows. they killed it and so did the rest of the line up man. basically you dont think it can get anymore intense and then it does. opener kinda sucked and was really loud for some reason, then came a band called gideon. granted i didnt know alot of their songs until like now lol they put on a high energy show and the crowd got wild and we were moshing alot and crowd surfing got more frequent. then came ah man wageeee warr. i knew most of these songs and went ham. did my first ever crowd surf to the last sound performed called twenty one . alot of my friends crowd surfed to gideon and wage war alot. but then came FOR TODAY man . 14 song set or something like that. i knew practically all the songs and dude... gosh it was soooooo intense !!!!!! I got nfl pro football player tackled into the stomach sent me flying lol XD had alot of people surfin over me , i tried throwing someone up and failed but he hugged me anyway said thanks man . another friend got his tooth knocked out, and my other friends were witnessing to people too. GREAT BAND GREAT SHOW
People who say this is generic are used to listen to that pussyass overpulished "meshuggah with linkin park choruses" cheesey poppy metalcore, this the real true sound of metalcore, the metallic hardcore. 🔥

The "hanging by a thread" vocals & dissonant guitar part was tight! Def. an aggressive, & chaotic sound for For Today.

I used to come to For Today for breakdowns, weedley deedley riffs, and gnarly vocals. Now I just come for the breakdowns. I still love this band though.
There are two main methods to distinguish whether you should love a song or a band:
1. You simply hear a song and start to follow and know better the band, perhaps you'll become a fan.. That's fair enough isn't it?
2. When you listen to a song that gives you shivers on the back or those goosebumps you only have when hearing something really interesting. If you know that feeling, you are like me my fellow.. It's not about the genre, the kind of vocals, instrumentals or anything else. It's all about the emotion, the feeling music creates in you.
