- Well, finally got to use my Rough Country Hidden Winch on my Bronco for an off road self recovery.
Most of you will probably be here to see the hidden winch and off road self recovery, but let know what you think of the quiet sounds of camping/bushcraft at the end.

I absolutely love how the hidden winch stealthily tucks away and doesn’t block the camera or front sensor. It’s a Home run!

@@NorthShoreOverland so the kit for the modular bumper is now on RC site? I checked maybe a week ago and notes said only for standard bumper.
@@rockoq173 I just checked and you are right, that's what it says. But I assure you , the kit for the mod bumper is what you will get. It fits both. Only 2.3 engine tho. I messaged my rep to let him know the site is wrong.
It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Plus it looks bad ass just having it on there. Win win! Great video!

What I do is carry a winch extension and pay out the line enough to get out and hook it to the extension. It keeps you from having to dig out your clutch switch.
It's necessary for me because I have acc, the rough country is a great bumper and doesn't force you to deal with a buggy relocation bracket.
Looks like some melting snow, glad to see the new winch came in handy and worked like a champ.
This really sold me on the hidden winch. I've been on the fence about it while waiting for my Bronco (2.3l badlands softop 4dr) to come (It's currently in a train yard in Colorado waiting for the dealer convoy truck). I was super concerned about being able to free spool as I plan to do a lot of solo trips, overlanding, etc. So knowing that you can more or less reach right down to it from under the hood makes me happy with it. Really looking forward to building out my Bronco in the coming months. Thanks for the great content!

Bronco/camping ASMR is very relaxing to me. I love the hidden winch. I was hoping to see it fit and work with the modular bumper. How do you like it? any ground clearance issues yet?

Love the spot, you can turn off the annoying parking sensors when wheeling, there is a nifty button for that by the HVAC stuff. Any worries about not being able to see how the rope is spooling on the drum?
Thanks! Yea, I keep forgetting to turn them off.... I'm not too worried about the synthetic rope. If it was steel cable I feel it would be worse.

Im considering the RC rear tubular bumper. How do you like the quality of the RC products?
I love it! I'll be ordering that bumper soon too actually. One thing to consider with any aftermarket steel bumper if you are in an area that salts the roads in the winter is corrosion. I plan on keeping mine well greased with undercoating in the winter.

Your Bronco is 2.3l for the hidden winch mount?
It is, but they are working on a kit for the 2.7

They are Fast Wheel Knuckles. I love them, but only available in Canada.

Well my feet were wet and my knife was in the Bronco.... so it was that or my teeth.
This guy's cool factor went up in my book with that move. Made me want to get out camping so I can open stuff with my ax. Lol
