@@lizardgreen2121True, but that first fall is the ice breaker. Once you get past the first one, all the rest should be easy. Just rode it yesterday. So much fun!
It feels weird hearing no screams, and just laughter instead. (A sentence that without context would probably sound like a villain was saying it.) I don't travel to this side of San Antonio very often, but when I do it's always fun to look at this coaster dominating the skyline in the area. Didn't know they were building apartments next to Sea World. Lucky people, they're living across the street from a roller coaster.
This ride is criminally underrated. If you can leave a little room between you and the bar you can get insane airtime in the back row. In my opinion this is stonger than some of its hyper coaster counterparts. I'm looking at you Wild Thing
I agree. Me and my brother would always tell family from out of town that you have to sit in the back to fully enjoy the ride. Its such a fun rode and a huge pary of my youth. I miss San Antonio
Especially now where the final 4 hills are practically zero g now I agree, but the first two still pack a punch whereas the first two on this one look less powerful in gs compared to those final ones
Strange looking maybe but the unique design I think adds to the charm of the ride. I love that 2nd camel-back in the rear of the train. Feels like a free-fall down the backside with the ejector air time it gives.
i cant believe i went on this when i was 6, i actually recently went 2 weeks ago byt watching this makes me realize. when i was younger, it felt different
@@MontagnaMagica Bro how can they turn off the loop, what your think it’s a convertible loop that you could move? Your probably thinking of a different roller coaster.
Is there a reason why they still haven’t removed/replaced their old log flume after like 10 years? I thought Texas Stingray went there, but that’s in a different spot.
We're not counting Phantoms Revenge since it was originally built by Arrow Dynamics and Lightning Run isn't exactly a giant Morgan coaster at 100 feet (30.5m) tall. Care to take another guess? (Hint - Neither are located in the USA)
Yes, Superman in Mexico City is one and we don't have an issue with people considering Phantoms Revenge a hyper due to it's 228 foot drop. So what's the other giant Morgan that came after Steel Eel?
well steel eel is a morgan hyper coaster well junior hyper coaster made by morgan i dont think they will add that to sea world san diego and im from san antonio and i know this ride
It’s really not, it’s a great coaster with lots of airtime. It seems a lot of people only care for inversions, steep drops, and g’s, but a coaster can be crazy because of the airtime, I mean look at Texas Giant, no inversions, not many g’s but it’s great because of the airtime.
This was my first ever "big" roller coaster as a kid! Great video.
I’m 20 and I would never step foot in that. I’m terrified
smae
same
Same here! I rode it like 10 times and each time I thought I was going to fly out bc I was so small😂
Same it was mine too I was terrified
It's kinda calming once you get over the first fall and realize that's all it is
There’s 5 falls after lol

@@lizardgreen2121i was forced on this ride when i was 7 and havent road a rollercoaster since 😭🤣 and its been 20 years🤣

I can't imaging going to school across the street from a roller coaster.
@@Stephenp503 I actually went to that middle school during football practice we would hear the screams of people riding it pretty funny lol
Idk how they’re not screaming tbh I was scared as balls when I went on this. Going again in may 😭 scary but fun (I’m a rollercoaster newbie)
Seriously underrated coaster

this is what life should be all about. Fun excitement and thrill
I feel my stomach lighten at the top of each curve.....fab ride.
That’a what they are meant to do XD
I like the color scheme of this coaster, looks really good. Plus it looks like a good coaster.
This was my first roller coaster of the day yesterday and it did not disappoint. Once you do this one then all the others should be a piece of cake.
How wonderful to not be looking at the ride from the perspective of the track !
All of your videos should be done this way. Bravo!!
im glad this was my first roller coaster as a kid. came back to it just to show my little brother.
Steel Eel looks nice and fresh, GREAT vid!!
Bruh this video makes it seem so gentle lmao in reality when that ride peaks and creeps over that edge my heart would drop
Love the simplicity of this ride
Never clicked so fast. Very nice vid and coaster. Wish to ride this someday
Same its been a bucket list coaster for a while now
It was so scary that I fainted

I’ve gone on this it’s not as scary as u think the first camel bump is the scariest part cause it feels like you are gonna fall put

I was so scared while riding it but the feeling after was the best
The fkn Pillsbury Doughboy hoo-hooing throughout the Degrassi Eel and her ride mate chattering at 1:31 is hilarious. 😎
Great 4K POV 👍🏻
The supports on this thing are the strangest i've ever seen XD
What do you mean? They look fine to me
Most newer coasters have this kind of supports.
The supports are uneven like that because it goes over a path, and they are placed at at weird positions to hold up the track, but go around the path.
Actually, because Nagashima Spa Land is in the Earthquake Zone of Japan, the supports on Steel Dragon 2000 are by far the strangest I've ever seen
Strange looking maybe but the unique design I think adds to the charm of the ride. I love that 2nd camel-back in the rear of the train. Feels like a free-fall down the backside with the ejector air time it gives.
before i went to seaworld, i watched all the rides on youtube and thought “oh this one looks easy” boy was i wrong…
Hahahaha same . Terrifying
Spectacular footage! It was nice to meet you when you visited. By the way, this IS better than Texas Stingray! ;)
i liked the stingray but this was def better
That roller coaster looks smooth as butter
SE actually grew on me after riding it a few times. It has some nice little airtime pops in the backend.
Did this today! Feels like you're flying! A lot of force!
this was my very first rollercoaster ride ever. i passed out multiple times LOL
Same I cried tho
Airtime in the back is legendary.
This looks so smooth and fun. Sometimes you don’t want to be whipped around.
Damn new paint job looking fresh.
I went on this today and it was awesome !!
airtime machine right here ^^^^
This doesn't seem too bad, I went on the Great white and all those turns and going upside down had me screaming LOL
Also this was the very first hyper coaster built in Texas 1999 before Titan at Six Flags Over Texas was built in 2001!
WOOOOOOOOOW , IS FANTASTIC 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏
I've ridden this, it was 1000 kinds of fun, plus 10 if you hv your hands up the whole time
I just rode it for the first time it’s the funnest shit ever

The airtime on this ride was crazy-
I went on it i was nine it was a field trip my friend fainted i hit my head on the rail i was hanging on for dear life😂😂
I’ve went middle front and back on this thing this is the first bug roller coaster I’ve been on

Steel Dragon 2000 and Superman El Ultimo Escape.
So simple so fun.
Nice!

If you ride in the back cart your butt will float off the seat a few times. Awesome ride.
STEEL FORCE (My home park) and phantom's revenge! (Kind of)
This wasn’t the last Morgan coaster, Quicksilver express at Gilroy Gardens opened in 2001
That's exactly why we said that this was the last of the seven GIANT Morgan coasters in the description.

I went on this ride once when I was a kid. I love roller coasters by the way. I hated every second of this one. It made me feel so sick.
This is a roller coaster tycoon ride template #1. You haven't unlocked 200 feet, or any inversions yet. Also you can only afford 1 banked turn
The only roller coaster I've ever been on that made me really sick to my stomach
I’m scared of roller coasters for one reason. When your tilted sideways, it feels like the cart will de-rail
You should get a good look at the side of the cars then- they grip all around the track and have wheels that keep it on the rails real nice.
My parents went here they almost sharted also the drop was perfect
