Standup fridges are always all over the place on temps. For a deep freezer, I always buy a chest freezer. You should research your fridge and see where they put the temperature sensor and then put the ORIA sensor in that area.

I put the sensor all over inside the fridge. I dont care where their sensor is because my readings were over 41 degrees, long term, not just defrost, in many places. I turned the fridge down as cold as I could and no luck. We bought a new fridge. I will be doing a review on it because its ideal for solar generators, if you dont have something smaller to use during power outage.
