      Surprise, the wonder people at Morningstar are already working on it. They've been teasing pics of the prototype on social media. It will be only slightly bigger than the ML5 I believe they said.

    Works great! How about a version using 1 stereo input pr loop (tip:send, ring:return). Just to get it smaller, and maybe get a few extra loops. Buffers maybe?

    I’d like to put most of my pedals into a rack unit (hidden/behind/beside my amplifier) with the ML5 hooked up to them and have channel selector out front with just a wah and a tuner maybe i.e minimalist approach.
    Is this possible?? can the ML5 be wirelessly connected to the switcher out front?? or do you just need a lengthy cable? Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated!!
    Thank you!

      Yes, that is possible. You can have a wired or wireless connection. The choice is yours. One of the readily available wireless MIDI options is the CME WIDI Jack.

    Can I have switch A in stompbox mode (loop on/off hitting switch A for example) but override this switch when hitting B and go back to A again when turning off B?

    • @MorningstarEngineering

      I assume you are referring to switches on your Morningstar MIDI controller. Yes, you can. Every switch is independently programmable. So switch A can be used to toggle the bypass state of loops and switch be can be used to recall presets if you want.

    Hi there! I'm a newbie to MIDI so this is probably a silly question. I want to be able to switch each of my overdrives on and off with switch A, B, C, and D. Do I need to use the toggle setting where the first position is 127 for the CC value on #6 to activate loop A? I wasn't sure if I now have to program the second position as a CC value of 0 to turn it off? That part is a little confusing.

    • @MorningstarEngineering

      2:59 explains this. With this you don't need to use toggle mode on your Morningstar controller.

    Thanks for the explanation about using PC messages. Nice and simple if you have a dedicated PC switch. Though how do you send a PC message to the ML5 if you are set up to scroll through presets? Do you scroll off and on to the correct PC number? - OR do you have to set it up on the wrong patch the move to the right patch to send the PC message to the ML5?

    • @MorningstarEngineering
      @MorningstarEngineering  Рік тому +1

      Yes, you can use it as an amp selector. You can engage the amp you want and bypass the amp you don't want to use. The amps will take up 2 loops. You will still have 3 loops before that for pedals, which will be sent to whichever amp is active.
