May I add, from an older lady point of view know that feeling of being stuck at home is temporary and life changes I've always felt that the times when my children were little and we were home were really special we are never really stuck and I understood being happy and content, being at home you have the choice and strength to be you it grows resilience in your own abilities you are less reliant on others opinions and beliefs you learn independence and its invaluable as you grow older xx enjoy this time after all its all you have xxx
Such a beautiful perspective! It’s so reassuring to hear that these moments of being at home and raising little ones can shape us in such profound ways. I love how you highlighted resilience and independence...it’s a lovely reminder that this season has its own gifts. I’ll definitely try to treasure these times more, knowing they’re all part of a bigger journey. ❤️ Thank you for the encouragement and wisdom. xx
I loved this. Having a bit of an identity crisis going from working a 'big' job to being at home with my one-year-old and three-year-old! I haven't found a way to fit in any reading yet but you asked for book recommendations, and I thought you might enjoy some of these classics if you've not already read them? Anything by Barbara Pym; Diary of a Provincial Lady; The Enchanted April xx
Thank you, Bethany! Lovely video and so chilled to watch with a cup of tea. I like the idea of the courses to do at home, I'll take a closer look to see what would be a good fit for me. It is a lovely idea to do something with purpose and also relax through the winter months and maybe beyond. ❤❤❤ X
6:35 Yes to this! The Thursday Murder Club mystery series by Richard Osman on audio is AMAZING 7:46 love this! We play card games as a family every Saturday evening. ❤
Watching from Northern Ireland i know the feeling being stuck at home doing the same chores all day everyday also suffering from fibromyalgia & chronic inflammation, but at the same time i like home everything clean & tidy & doing my gardening, my son is now 26yrs old but the work never stops i also love cooking whenever i don't take flare-ups, i had to give up work 17yrs ago due to fibromyalgia, please don't be so hard on yourself, God bless you & your family from Northern Ireland x 🙏🌹❤️☘️
It sounds like you’ve really had to juggle a lot! I admire how you’ve found ways to enjoy home life and cooking, even with all your challenges. Thank you for the reminder not to be too hard on myself… it’s easy to forget sometimes 🥰 xx
You can fight fibromyalgia with strength training, Ive done it amd it works like magic. Weight lifting is way better than those meds they give you for fibro. Try it promise you wont regret it and will see a huge difference in weeks.
Recently subscribed, your content is just lovely and I am really enjoying watching your videos. I really liked how you mentioned rituals, I love making coffee in my French press and drinking from my mug my daughter bought me, this simple ritual brings me so much joy. Xx
Cherish this season of your life. Kids grow in a blink of an eye. Stay present in the ordinary moments because One day they’ll be the extraordinary moments of your life. And you’ll yearn for them.
Thank you for sharing this 🥰 It really touched me and made me pause to think about how precious this season truly is. Nothing lasts forever and that is both a bittersweet thought xx
Thank you for sharing this. Over the last 2 years, due to a cascade health issues that caused one problem after another, I’ve felt stuck at home and frustrated and almost imprisoned as I can’t even leave the house for a wall or a drive. Your wonderful tips are so helpful to reframe those thoughts. Thank you 🙏🏻
I’m so sorry to hear about the difficult health challenges you’ve been facing. I can only imagine how isolating that must feel. I’m grateful that the video could offer even a little comfort. Please take care of yourself, and know that you’re not alone in these this 🙏🏻❤️
Fantastic tips Bethany. I have been both a stay at home mum and a working mum. Both can be tough at times. These tips are great though and I shall be using some myself. Thank you for sharing. Ps The piles of stuff on the stairs never seem to go away do they, it’s like they just appear all by themselves 😂🤦🏻♀️
I've recently read The Satsuma Complex by Bob Mortimer. It made me laugh outloud. I'm also working my way through Freida McFadden books, thrillers that you cannot put down 😊x
I just opened kindle unlimited to see if your recommendations were on there... Frida Mcfadden book's were the first 3 recommendations 😂❤️ Adding to my library now!
I love all your videos but this one is particularly beautiful as it resonates deeply. I gave up my NHS dietitan’s role in 2020 as my role at home is more than full time. My children are 17 and 24 but they still need extra support as we’re healing from complex grief and traumatic bereavements. Like you I balance some of my frustration and disappointment with noticing the glimmers in life and creating habits and rituals. Our home is our sanctuary when everything else feels overwhelming and chaotic 💔❤️🩹❤️
Thank you so much for sharing some of your story…It sounds like you and your family have been through so much, and I really admire how you're finding ways to create moments of peace despite everything. It's so important to have those little rituals and glimmers of light to hold onto. I’m wishing you and your family all the best as you continue healing and finding comfort at home ❤️❤️❤️

Hi Bethany, Thank you for your wise words 🙏🏼 Your duvet cover looks like such lovely material. Do you recall where it’s from? Many thanks ☺️
Hi, if it was the green floral one it’s from Dunelm 🥰 if it’s a different one let me know and I’ll find out xx
