I just bought a used Tokina 11-16, and used it in Sony A6700 and also Canon Eos R5, it does not have any problem at all, like you mentioned. So your piece is DEFECT. It is an excellent and cheap lense. Buy this you will not regret it.😅😅😅
@@kevinkenell, I only make videos, autofocus work perfectly on my Canon camera, the only problem is that the autofocus is quite loud, so if I use a camera mounted microphone the noise is captured by the mic.
Hmm interesting, is it the newer version? I've never used a Canon with autofocus for video, maybe it's related to that. Yeah I have the same problem with the Sigma 18-35, it's unfortunate..
I got this one for my D500 once but since I moved on to fullframe the difference is very clear. The Tokina is ok in the centre but corners are bad wide open. From f5.6 it gets better but when I compare it against fullframe pics oh boy. At the time I bought it I didn't know better but afterwards I shouldn't bought it.
Aw shucks, sorry to hear that! Well, as some of the other comments mention, my problem was with the adapter. But anyways, the Samyang 12mm has served me well and is a pretty affordable option, if you don't need the variable focal length.
I have the lens, very useful For cinematic and commercial shot it's very useful to solve lot problem in shots. For flogging it's a truly big mistake. Buying kit lens is better
YOU SHOULD TRY THE 7ARTISANS EF-SE adapter!! I been using it with my Sony A7CII & Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 and it works AMAZINGLY!
Oohh sick, thanks for the tip!🫶

What adapter did you use when pairing it with the Sony? It seems like the adapter is the cause for the issues I had, using the Sigma MC-11. 😁
Very helpful video your the only one currently doing reviews on this lens thank you!!!
So happy I could help, thank you!
Just here to push!! It seems you put a lot of work into this. Keep going !! Subscribed! 👊
Appreciate you 🙏
I got canon 90D and this lens, and continuous autofocus works well with this lens.
Ah wow, that's too bad for me. Might be that the issue is with the Sigma converter for Sony. 😊
@@kevinkenell the problem is the mc-11, the auto focus of this adapter is only for sigma lenses
@@lucasdiasmvideo good to know, thanks!
@@lucasdiasmvideo No, the mc-11 with me works fine with Tokina 11-16, auto focus works everything works, perfect just like a native lense.
Thank you for watching. This was just my personal experience, which of the two lenses would you choose? Tokina 11-16mm or Samyang 12mm?👀
Samyang is manual focus
@@joseacarrasm they have the AF version...
Ey! He is back
hi, would u suggest buying canon18135 or this
Hey! Unfortunately I have no experience with Canon18135 so I can't be of much help. But I'm always a fan of lower aperture.
Amazing intro!🤩
Thank you my man!🥰
Mine was hard to twist on too but one day it finally clicked into place lol
Sick, yeah so scary haha!
Is this lens not available in Sony E mount?
Not that I'm aware, but I could be wrong!
Bro i almost had a heart attack. Just bought this lens for astro and for this specific kind of photography I have to say that it seems the right one!
Hahah, hope it serves you well!
Bro, you must have had a defect. This has great autofocus
Could be that it's not compatible with the Sigma MC-11 converter. What camera do you use?
@@kevinkenellit’s not compatible with the mc11 since it’s only made for sigma lenses.
@@TheRealKahlel ohhh really? damn
Agree. HIs has a defect.
Its weird that the autofocus doesnt work have you checked maybe the settings of the camera?
Hey brother! I think the issue is the incompatibility of the Sigma adapter. 😊
I believe his piece is defect.
Strange? My Tokina 11-16 has autofocus, but it's not quiet, but neither is my Sigma 18-35. (Both my lenses are EF-mount, used on Canon)
It has AF but not continuous for video, are you using it for photography? ☺️

Nice intro! :D
Thank you! It was fun to explore a new style.🤩
i sold mine too, i had multiple issues with it
oh wow thanks for the input
me too, I bought it and regret it, currently on UA-cam looking for an alternative when your video came up 🤦🏼♀

True that, thanks for your input!
The lens is autofocus and in video also
I think the newer version might have, but not this one!
This video has a Gaux vibe hehe
Ayy the intro was 100% inspired by Gawx, he’s the best
