  • Review of a recent purchase with my own money. I've tried to show it being used a fair bit so this has ended up quite long. Jump to 14:50 for conclusions. I did cut out quite a lot of footage too 😄

I really struggled with that style of tip, ended up switching to the other style where everything is held together by the ceramic cup to make it easier to use templates but it turned out for me and my machine it was a huge improvement in general operation.
I concur that very nice looking helmet needs stickers.

Hiya James are the tips interchangeable? I need to do some research. My old Lidl helmet is literally covered stickers 🤣 must admit the new true colour one is a decent upgrade. Need to move the cheater lens to this and try TIG. I'm hoping it will improve my welding skillz 😀

@@julias-shed no, unfortunately I needed to change the entire torch, offset by the other tips being cheaper, and I use it a lot more having changed over.
I just use tinted goggles with the plazle mc dazle but I'd sooner have my face covered, that cut setting on yours is a nice feature and the lens is huge, what's a cheater lens?

Ah I'll use up the tips I have first then. Cheater lens is like reading glasses for your mask. You clip them to the back of the screen and suddenly you can see like a young person again 🤣 www.ebay.co.uk/itm/402246224650

Tbh I find plasma likes a fairly good earth clamp (usually use the pilot flame to burn bit of a clean spot) and it'll cut through some really dirty steel no bother then . Rust does eat up your consumables fast compared to clean steel but cutting rotten steel is what ours does on whole 🤣

That's interesting to know 😀 this was my second try with a plasma so I'm making it up as I go!

You are Wright about going too fast also perhaps your settings are too high it looks that but I don't know myself as I'm new to these plasma cutters

That was the second time I had used the plasma so I'm definitely not an expert! Haven't used it much but it's nice to have. 😀

@@julias-shed I bought mine in Lidl and then found out after I need a compressor to use with it. I got my compressor this morning and need to look at both items now and learn how to set them up together before even learning how to use it with different types and thicknesses and the air and amp settings. I'm looking up different things on UA-cam to get an idea. You are already started and further at learning than me. Good luck to you

@@billyblackie9417 if you can afford it get a water separator as well as plasma does not like water in the air, either that or use shortest hoses you can get away with. Mine came from Lidl 🤣
