14:30 Well at one time that was called a "Remote Starter" BUT (Or However lol) it is NOW officially known as nothing less than "The Lone Wolf 200). All because of Derek from "Vice Grip Garage" LOL.
He's doing everything backwards! Do not do what he does do it better replace the battery and do not put a bunch of fuel in the carburetor it will go straight down to the oil now you have to change the oil
Everything isn't backwards, I just should have swapped the battery first instead of trying to jump it. Good catch on the gas bleeding into the oil. You are right it does happen sometimes. I usually only pour gas into the carb when a car has been sitting for years b/c I know the fuel bowl is going to be bone dry, the float is probably going to stick and any seals will be hard. So I let the gas sit in there for about 15 mins or longer at minimum so everything isn't dry anymore. My thoughts are that it ensures the fuel bowls are full so it does not take so long spinning the starter to get adequate fuel delivered. Secondly once I get one to run after years of sitting, I always change the oil next. That way the oil has plenty of viscosity and isn't weak and if any gasoline has bled into it then it won't be any problem.
luckily I've never had one go boom on me during the process. I've had them blow back flames thru the carb but I've had that happen with starter fluid too.
Good to see you had a win...that was a LOT of gas downs its throat at the start...also... Positive terminal on the GMC needs a clean dude.. cool vid...what size is the motor..
Yessir I may have gotten a little extra thirsty on that gas pour lol. I gave the GMC terminal a baking soda scrub the next day. Found out it's a 318 in the Dart, someone was building a nice little street/strip machine and stuck a newer model Ford truck rear end under it with some decent gears.
With a truck like that you should be able to afford a better set of jumper cables there cheap and nasty don't hold enough current threw them that's why there's smoke nice project though
It does not have one. Good idea to check though, I tried and tried to crank another car that did have one and It took forever before I realized it so I usually check first now lol
just replaced the fuel pump, gas lines and tank. old tank had rusted and pump had clogged with all the old rust. probably what shut the car down to begin with years ago
When I'm attempting to start one that has been sitting unstarted for years I like to put that gasoline directly into the carb like that just for starting purposes. I know the fuel bowls in the carb are dry and the float is probably stuck so I put that fuel in and let it sit a good 15 mins or more. Anytime I get one to run, my next step is usually to go ahead and change the oil.
haha, nah couldn't tell if it was allergies or the smell of that nasty old gas that gave me the sniffles but i' didn't have alotta time to wait for benadryl to help
Anybody want to guess which engine is in this Dart?
Um..a nice one.
340😊😊
Sounds like a 360
318
318 ci
This is the prefect example of why some people shouldn't do "Will it Run " videos
@chuckhand8622 and why is that?
ALL Mopar keys go in upside down.
I had no clue. First old Mopar I've had the chance to pick up. They're really cool cars, hoping to get some more!
Just a Swangin👍🏾😁🤳
That thing is freakin sweet 👌
Thanks man!
I had a 77 fury salon with a 318 could not kill it! The car was brought brand new $7500.00
@bagel-the-beagle-1 That is awesome! Those engines were built so tough back then!

@friguy444 haha yeah gotta love some VGG !!
Derek should really market and copyright that STAT! I'd buy one The Lone Wolf 200™......for when there's no one else.

Bird beak Dart, least desirable but still a 2door v8 so good score
@eriknelson45 yeah not the most favorable year model but still has a lot of goodies
nice car!!!! enjoy it. peace
Thanks!
Nice job sir Nice Dodge Nice show sir 👏👏👏👍👍👍👍😃
Thank you ! and thanks for watching!
Boom ! 😧

If the weather man got paid for being right he or she would not get paid.
no truer statement has ever been said haha! that's the only job where you can be wrong everyday and still have a job
Cool video dude
Thanks man appreciate it!
I think it's an Inverter for 120 volts
Sometimes you gotta just let the jumper cables sit on there for a few and get some juice into the battery.
I'mma just bring a fully charged battery next time and a real good jump box
New channel and some things don't go right at first. Let it side and let him learn. Peace to ya dude.
Thanks a lot man!
Let's see either a 318 or a 340 last guess 360
It could also be a 273
@@double-h-farms pretty unlikely? Most had a slant 6

Dude either you have Bad allergies or other Problems.
allergies, between the ragweed in the air and the nasty old gas smell I was struggling. Benadryl should sponsor me lol

I have that same screwdriver 😅
@billycapshew2411 haha, i mean it's a pretty great screwdriver no doubt !
Guess how many times he sniffs, 8 ball?
😅🤣😂 I was shaking my head about the sniffs when I was clipping the vids together. Sorry to disappoint but it was just some allergies.

@gerry-p9x the more I dig into it the more cool stuff I'm finding! Somebody had been building a cool little car for sure!
It's a 318?
Those Dart Swingers are very cool cars , nice score
Thanks! It's my first old Dodge and Its been fun so far!
I Agree Dodge Swingers Are Very Nice Cars Indeed.

You did it!!!!!!🎉🎉🎉
yep yep got it done! Time to tackle the next one !
hi good ep i think you should take to your local gas stationto fix it. you would not know where to start might need a tune up gas tank and so on.

I ment to say oil
I could tell the guy never works on Chrysler products…

273
ran numbers, ended up being a 318
All that time.....and all you had to do is put a new battery 🤣🤣🤣
gas tank was completely empty and full of rust too but yeah, fuel pump, gas tank and a battery and she was good to go

Motor is stuck
Got it freed up and running like a champ now
Painful to watch rip oil and all moving parts coz that was way to much gas, it's going straight into the oil
@@haydencoogan7132 there wasn’t any in the oil. Once we got it running we ran a chemical in the oil for a bit then did a full oil change.

Looks like a was driven last week.
Just because it's been washed in the last decade and we didn't go park it in knee high grass doesn't mean it's been fired up and driven.
