If you could keep making videos about this car that would be amazing because I'm currently 16 about to get my license in a few months and this is my first and I just wanted to fix mine to perfection
Hello Thank you very much for your video, it has encouraged me and helped me to make a repair of that indicator panel since one of the micas also peeled off when cleaning it. Thanks to your video I was encouraged to make that repair and your video has been very useful. Just a doubt, when you were removing the defrost section, there is a lever to select the temperature (the one below), which has a button on the metal part, my question is, how did you remove it, in my case it seems to be glued. Thank you very much for any advice!
Actually, you don't have to remove the heater/blower controls. Mark the vacuum hoses and then just pull them off. You'll see the cable connection to the blend door. There will be a push on clip holding on the lever. Use regular pliers and it pulls off easy. You may have to work the cable end off of control lever/arm Next, there's about a 5/16 bolt securing the blend door cable shaft to the heater control assembly. Remove that and the cable will drop free. You can access all of this with cluster partially out. Believe it or not, i removed all of this lying on the floor reaching up under the the dash. But that was 38 years ago. I'm currently working on a 74 j-10. It's the same cluster. Someone has made a mess with the wiring and i was hoping to get a glimpse of the back of the cluster and where the plug connects above the ampmeter. The wires are pulled out of the connector and i need to see which order that they go into. I suggest 2825 bulbs for the cluster. They're a little brighter than the 194s
I just found out you already answered that, thanks any way!

Rolling back odometers it not only illegal, it also leaves evidence because numbers even showing less miles, wont look aligned
How did you removed the heather from the cluster? I can’t remove the cool warm button that is the thing that don’t let the heather go out
The button just pulls off from the sliding lever. I think. I'll check tomorrow and let you know
Sorry for the delay, but yes, the "knob" just pulls right off

How’d you screw that speedometer cable off? I can barely get my hand in there haha
It was a little tough. If I remember correctly, I used my right hand to unscrew the cable and my left hand to maneuver the cluster
Remove the glove and/or ashtray. Easy to reach in there.
