Nice vid and good tips, thanks 🥳 I see you’re running both harnesses and backpack battery, so in case you didn’t know there’s a hip pad you can attach to the backpack harness so you don’t have to wear double 😎
Edit: oooo, that’s a nice rake 🤩 And the pad lets you slap a leaf blower (530ibx at least, possibly other models also) to your hip as well 🥳 Super chill to lock it on cruise control and just guide it as you leave it hanging 🪂

    • @JayRockGroundsMaintenance

Yeah I was well ready for it to take a few hours longer than it did - happy to get it nipped in the time frame I did 🙌🏽. It’s not too bad at all really, on eco mode you would get about 30 minutes constantly with a BLI 200. About 20 minutes if it was on full power. 2 batteries would get you through a full day I think of light maintenance, edges etc 😄

As for rocks etc it’s part of the job, I try and check the area over best as possible before starting and then when strimming prior I keep an eye out for anything that could cause a problem. Your right though if you hit a big rock it could easily break the mower.

Id have been closer to 500 for this. Our minimum for a garden clear out would be 300. Considering this is just grass id have said €350. Hedges bring it to closer to €600

Hi there pal ! I love them ! They have knocked through every job I have needed them for, only husqy kit I’ve had a problem with actually is the mower where the clutch keeps going. Battery wise I’ve had no problems but I know others have. I would recommend buying from a dealer and building a good relationship with them🙌🏽. Also the battery lasts for hours with the hedge trimmers, strimmers you get about 20 minutes from a bli 200, unsure on the blowers but they are pretty thirsty too🌱

Ooohh pricing this....difficult to get the exact scale from a video. Somewhere a little over £200 BUT I would have strimmed just the very edges then started in the middle with my zeroturn and side discharged the clippings into the first stripe... a quick walk round the outside with a backpack blower would mostly finish the clean up, picked up into builders bags then repeat as needed, probably would not need to clean clippings from the thinner bits. The bigger machines would have killed it in more like half a day. Just goes to prove you use what you have to get the job done. I get very bad hayfever and utterly hate jobs like this.....had nearly two acres for a first cut mid August this year. Cant collect the waste from that very easily.

      🏇🐴🐎power is always good 😎.
Watch out for a second-hand push mower that side discharges and lifts up high - something like a toro recycler- with care and not pushing too much through them they can make this sort of job much easier. Even starting with the strimmer in the middle of a lawn and then swinging the waste into the centre helps enough with the clean up to be well worth it.
Hire has never worked out well for me, there has always been hidden extra costs and usually the time used getting tools and returning them makes the whole job unprofitable.
