@@YesTheory you should definitely come again and explore more of the country, such as my home city of Plovdiv, which is possibly the oldest continuously inhabited city in Europe. Definitely explore more of the coast and go to Burgas and Varna, possibly go to one of the weirdest communist landmarks - the Buzludzha monument, which looks like a flying saucer... the list of interesting places can be quite long :) 🇧🇬
I found it beautiful that Gergana still hasn't asked us for the name of our youtube channel. She was just purely happy to be on an adventure with strangers. I just texted her and asked if she wanted to see the video, and it makes me happy in my heart to know that there are so many positive comments towards her and Bulgaria in this comment section
Gergana was such a vibe and funny loving person. 💕Its people like her that makes this world so beautiful. Loved the video and the new hotel idea. Have been following you guys since the start of the channel and really love your content😊 Keep up the good content 🙌 ❤️
British guy from London, here. I retired 8yrs ago and went to live permanently in Bulgaria. Still here. Love it. You guys did a good job of giving a fair impression of this lovely country.
I retired to Romania back in 2007, I live in the countryside of Transylvania. Today I'm still only 48 years old so hopefully plenty of time to do more here to enjoy.
An ex-pat Dubliner here, living in Bulgaria nearly 15yrs now. I live in a rural village close to Burgas. I work here. Love Bulgaria and Bulgarians. My better half is Bulgarian and very good friends with Geri. They had a trip to Rome earlier this year with a gang of Bulgarians and loved it. Bulgarians don't have a lot, but they are intelligent, clever, very practical and know how to make the most of what they have. Geri is a wonderful, very positive person, a unique human being, a whirlwind of positive energy. You were very lucky to meet her as you did.
I am Mexican and my fiancé is Bulgarian. Two years ago I was there and it felt like home. The people are extremely friendly, so charming and the food is magnificent. I love Bulgaria 🇧🇬 ❤
I was in Bulgaria a couple of months ago. I made so many friends in Plovdiv. I wish to go back and not only visit my friends, but to see more of Bulgaria.
Hey guys, I know Gergana, she's amazing!!! She's a fellow musician and singer colleague!!! What a terrific surprise to see her here - I'll forward the video to her! Thank you for the fantastic episode!!! ❤
A Bulgarian here: Thank you for showing Bulgaria the way it actually is: a place with rich culture, worthy to explore. Yes, our politics suck and will suck for years to come, probably that’s why there’s prejudice against BG. But the country is an amazing place to visit and you have shown it very well in the video, blagodarya, guys! Your film actually made me look more positively on my own country.
All these so called "Politicians" , be it in Bulgaria, be it in Kenia, wherever, just have to leave their comfortable seats and purses to so many other citicians who would do so much better. YES !! SO SO MUCH BETTER !!
буквално заглавието е "държавата която всеки иска да напусне", ако българин отиде в америка/британия/канада/южна африка или там откъдето е англото според тебе ше има такива малоумници които пишат примерно: "южна африка/америка - държавата която всеки иска да напусне"?
Hey everyone ,i'm bulgarian living in Bulgaria almost whole my life .Ive been to England and Norway for a bit but never felt quite happy there ,going back home and making a life here was the best thing ive could ever do .My son went to study abroad ,but after 2 years he came back also ,said he will never leave again .Im happy that we are united again ,since him living so far away was heartbreaking for me .I also have hope that things will change for is ,as bulgarians and more and more young people will choose to stay and build good place to live for everyone .God bless you all and stay safe ❤😊
I live in the empty part of the US & I feel the same, I was so happy when my son decided to move home after college; it’s only a few hours to the part that tourists like, but he wanted to be close to his family & recruited some friends to move here! They are all teachers. It’s very different here, other more urbanized Americans like to say it’s not the first world here but omg they are spoiled brats, we have all the regular stuff like internet, indoor plumbing etc, but apparently if boutiques are closed on Sunday and Monday, that means not “first world” 😂 International tourists love finding out they have more modern cities than this part of the US tho!
For me, as a romanian, this video is a re-confirmation of how friendly and full of joy Bulgarians are! I live in UK and I can say every single bulgarian I ever meet is a great ambasador for his country! Congratulations for the video!
And we have a good friend from Galati, who speaks perfect and cute Bulgarian. He had a Bulgarian boyfriend (strange and very long story) in the 2000s lol

As Bulgarians we want to thank you so much for showing our homeland to the world! This video will make more for Bulgaria's reputation and tourism, than all the efforts of the bulgarian government. Enjoy life and НАЗДРАВЕ! 🇧🇬❤
I am Greek, and my family immigrated to Bulgaria in the 1970s, fleeing from home to escape unfair persecution. Ever since, Bulgaria has welcomed us and given us a second chance in life. Here, my family flourished despite the hardships of the 1990s and early 2000s. Nowadays, this place seems to be a haven for young people, low unemployment and cheap prices. I have an international job that allows me to travel a lot, but thankfully, I always return home to Bulgaria. The people here are the nicest and most helpful I have ever met. I hope you will soon visit and explore what this diverse place has to offer. You’d be impressed! Thank you, Yes Theory, for finally showing a glimpse of this piece of heaven and, of course, for introducing us to Gergana! She is a gem!
Cheap prices ? Not anymore. In Sofia prices for a piece of cake at the pastry is 4-5 euro, at many places prices in Sofia are higher thanin Berlinfor example. At the supermarket as well.

I found this channel a week ago and have been binge watching all the episodes. This is honestly one of the best UA-cam channels I've come across in a long time. You guys are inspiring. I will be a long time subscriber. Thanks for all the great videos.
I’ve lived there for almost 2 years, and I went from “where the fuck am I” to “ Bulgaria will always have a place in my heart”. The vibe is incredible, the people are extremely nice and friendly and if you go there with an open mind, you will end up meeting people with a beautiful heart and open arms. I arrived there with ideas and stereotypes about Eastern and Balkan countries, and I ended up living 2 of the most beautiful years of my life in Bulgaria. Благодаря България and see you real soon 🤍
Very cool, that you had a great time in Bulgaria. Hmm... stereotypes about Eastern and Balkan countries. Doesn't sound nice. I always had a positive feeling about Pacific Islanders. But why are Tahitians that r*cist. And could you loosen up the prejudices of your tahitian friends and family?
When I was 19 I flew to Bulgaria by myself and stayed with friends for a month. We traveled to 9 cities and saw the most incredible parts of the country. 12 years later and it's still one of the best trips of my life. Mersi mnogo for sharing the beautiful country of Bulgaria ♥
I immediately knew that this video is going to be about Bulgaria when I saw the thumbnail and the title 🥲 Still happy that it gets some global recognition! ❤️ Greetings to all Bulgarian brothers and sisters from Germany 🇧🇬🇩🇪
I thought it 'll be Romania until the number of citizens. But seriously, I am also from eastern Europe, I think this video could have been made in any of those countries. All Eastern Europe has almost the same problems.
Visited Bulgaria for the first time last year and now hoping to move there in the next few years. The people are the greatest I've met anywhere in the world. Loved this!
WTF ,why would you leave this paradise ,NZ, and come here. Ok i maybe have some guesses like the cost of living in NZ is probably insane ,but its funny a lot of people are trying to move to NZ and you are coming here out of all places lol
@@alexilaiho321 nz is not what it’s all shown to be. There are a lot of problems like you said cost of living is just one of them. Not to mention you can rape someone at knife point in nz and get only 3 yrs imprisonment lmao and thats among the more harsher sentencings reccently. Our country has no justice.
I had a friend in college who was from Bulgaria. He loved the fact that he came from there and really enjoyed the Bulgarian way of life. He said his favorite things were swimming in the Black Sea in the morning. He also said the fruits from there were way better than the fruits he had in the US. However, he also realized that there weren't many opportunities in the country either, and he had plenty of opinions about the state of the government. He told me his dream was to eventually buy some land near the Black Sea, plant some fruit trees and some vegetables, and live the good life. I hope he gets that, someday.
Bulgaria has lots of opportunities. The government has nothing to do with your chances of success. I am from Bulgaria, have a good education, good profession and a good life. It has everything to do with your efforts and nothing to do with anybody else. I guess that's true all around the world but is valid in Bulgaria. too.
@@clishi yeah, Im Romanian, pretty much same story. Our countries are not North Korea or Burkina Faso, they are developed, safe, and free. You have all the opportunities you want to become very successful, with virtually no interaction from the government. People saying that if a government is slightly corrupt = everyone is miserable and struggling are just using it as cope, probably to give themselves a reason to not put in the effort needed to move upwards in life.
PSA: bedbugs are NO joke. Never sleep somewhere where there are signs of bedbugs. And if you do, make sure to wash ALL of your clothes and items in boiling water before bringing them back into your house. It’s not worth it for a video.
Also, they carry the bugs to the next place they stay and spread it along to their friends staying in the same room at the 5-star hotel that's very wrong shame on them. Next time stay at a hostel as long as there are no bugs.
I've been to Bulgaria three times since I was small since we are blessed with Bulgarian friends. We've stayed in a gypsy village, a mountain town and beach towns wich makes me believe I've seen quite a good variety of the country. Some people live in very hard conditions, which makes especially winters very hard... But the people are so lovely. They are excited to show you everything in their country and share all their food and time with you. I love it and hope to visit many more times😊 I was so happy to see Bulgaria on this channel!
I am Czech and I lived in Bulgaria, Sofia for 3 months during my Erasmus exchange when I studied university in UK. I made many wonderful memories and friends.
We Canadians have been to Bulgaria twice, one time for three months. We are headed back this fall. It is one of our favorite countries in the world. Glad you had such a good time, the people are really great.
I am one of the people that left this beautiful place. One of the reasons i did that was you guys. The main thing i learned from your videos was that i needed to explore the world for a better understanding of it. After 6 years , about 30 countries visited and countless people befriended i can comfortably say there is no other place that i would want to spend the rest of my life in. Seeing this video now is just another reminder that i need to book my flight soon . You could have done a bit more research and seen a lot more of it however. I recently did a similar trip with a British guy to just show him around. Next time you want to visit , give me a ring , im willing to lend a hand. Thank you for the great content!
I did more or less the same. I travelled across almost all countries in Europe and N.America, most of the time hitch hiking and just sitting on benches observing the life of the locals, and when I was on the verge of going to Asia or S.America or Africa, I was like... "Nah, I'm good..." and I came back. Best decision to leave and best decision to return so I can appreciate Bulgaria the way my grandparents, greatgrandparent and parent do and die giving my best to the people in the country I was given birth in. The biggest impact for me was South Spain where I saw how the majority of locals, instead of becoming economical imigrants, chose to have less but be chill around their family. And weirdly enough... Less money doesn't mean lesser feeling or experience. I am so inspired that for 5 years I haven't even left my hometown. I work 24/7 renovating my relative's and friend's apartments, and giving all my energy for the people around me. Hurry up in returning we need more people to chill with while working! Life is so easy when you're home away from the jungle of soul seeking imigrants accross the tourist areas. ;D
Recently it's "the Country everyone moves in". I (and not only me) just moved in after 13 years living in UK. Thanks to my "suffering" in UK I appreciated life in Bulgaria ❤
I moved from the UK to Bulgaria for a year and i personally loved it. Stunning country, beautiful people, and lovely culture. Its a place you can just keep exploring, but i was fortunate because i was working a remotely at the time and i had a decent income for the country. Economic opportunities are far and few and particularly for people living outside the main cities. The saddest thing i found was how elderly people were being cheated of their pensions. Their pensions are so low they can barely afford anything, but there is a culture of growing your own produce. I will say this, the way the public helped and treated elderly people also gave me a lot of hope in humanity. Bulgarians are very respectful people.
Moved there through a job opportunity? I flew there from the UK earlier this year and loved it, its a really lovely culture and community feel compared to more economically stable ? countries I hope to go back one day for longer
Who is cheating the elderly Bulgarians of their pensions? It would be a good thing if the public could work to stop the mistreatment of the elders and help them avoid criminals who are stealing their pensions and quality of life. Elders should be honored and cared for. We will all be elders some day, Lord willing. I was thinking Bulgaria would be a wonderful and safe place to retire to. Then I read this comment. 😢
@@SniperLogic Bulgaria is indeed a safe place, actually, the foreigners I have seen, described Sofia as one of the safest capitals in Europe. The thing is, our elders are indeed mistreated, not by thieves, but by the government. Most of them receive such low pensions that they find it hard to even pay for their basic needs.
You are very correct about Pensions. My grandma is being cheated because her whole life she pays bills specific for pensions and then she still has no pension at almost the age of 70 and when she gets pension it would be something super low, lower than her current job, that's why she is still working, and she is working at manufacturer, every day she has her vision being blinded by the machines which she welds metals, has to assemble parts and other stuff and this work doesn't pay a lot at all but its one of the hardest jobs and the worst part is her pension will pay lower than her job so at that age she is still working the hardest job, with still no pension.
Hi guys, another Bulgarian here. 🙋🏼♀️ Earlier today, my friends sent me your video telling me “Guess where they are this time”. When I saw the caption, I immediately knew it was my country. At first, I felt a bittersweet emotion - yes, they finally came to Bulgaria, but they will most probably be disappointed. However, I was wonderfully surprised by the result when I watched it. You captured the beautiful spirit of the Bulgarians and showcased our amazing nature, culture, and traditions. Personally, I've never visited Alexander Nevsky or seen the nestinari live, despite traveling the world to explore other cultures. Thank you so much for reminding me how great Bulgaria can be! Perspectives like yours are why in the end I always choose to come back and fight with the cockroaches (even though I hate them), metaphorically and literally speaking. You're always welcome back! We have many other beautiful cities that I think you'll love. Also, I noticed you didn’t try kiselo mliako and banitsa - needs to be corrected! ❤
I've visited Bulgaria for the first time last year and not only loved it for the nature, food & adventures it offers but heck.. those people are something else! Some of the kindest people I ever came across, quite refreshing as a Dutch guy I must say!
True, friendliness and kindness is an unknown concept in Holland,in Amsterdam at least. I visited once, beautiful country, but witj such bad-mannered, cold people, I won't be visiting again.
@@mariapap8962 I would not visit Amsterdam either, for that specific reason. There is true hospitality in the Netherlands but it’s for sure not in Amsterdam. The best thing Amsterdam has to offer is the easy connection to the highway towards it has to Utrecht

Each of you and your adventurous spirits have taken me back to my youth of travel to off-beat places. And now, on my first week of retirement, I am planning again to strike out on fun adventures from my home in Germany to see as many other unique places as well.

Low prices mean low salaries. Since Bulgaria is part of the EU, they can move and work visa free in any other EU country for much higher salaries. The reason for population decline is this simple.
I don't neccassarily fully agree with this. I think there's a bit of nihilism driving this. Some of us Bulgarians left because we - and our parents, friends, everyone - believed that there's nothing for us here. Since I returned, I've discovered that this is not entirely true, and in many ways, our negativism about the future of Bulgaria has tricked us. We might get lower salaries, yet the costs associated with taxes, housing, childcare, and utilities are drastically lower, while salaries in Sofia are approaching the levels of Central and even Western Europe. That's not to say that we don't have major issues or that many people don't leave because they *know* their lives will be better. I think it depends on a person's circumstances, and as people, we should not fall to nihilism but rather be more objective about the strengths and weaknesses (and issues in particular) of Bulgaria.
Yet they do not stop to realize their expenses will often outstrip those higher salaries in Western Europe plus they will have to deal with all the crime and general degradation of Western Europe, if they were smart they would stay put.
@@MalumnikaKir4oas a foreigner who is living in Bulgaria for many years, I see the same. I feel like many Bulgarians romanticize the education and higher salaries abroad, but when they move, they find out that higher salaries often mean higher prices, less freedom and less community. A lot of Bulgarians I know miss their home country afterwards. There is a wildness and work-life balance here that I and many other foreigners love. And the people are very charming 😊
Sherlock do you think the higher prices elsewhere gives you a better quality of life? Keep dreaming!.EU has done all it could do to make people empovrished and succeded. Do you know the rent of a dive in Paris. Same sh!t everywhere in EU, they do not want middle class / super rich and the slaves
@@MalumnikaKir4oyou could've wrote this about Romania. such a similar situation. the Balkans are so rich in many ways, and there's still this fresh memory of collectivist cultures within us that was crushed in western countries way before. there's a deeper connection to the land, and a different sense of comunity and reciprocal care. ofc each balkan country has its own specificities but there are lots of common threads, from ancient culture to what we experienced in communism and now in capitalism. grateful to be here in these lands.

As a kid growing up in Bulgaria, I didn't see or understand the problems that had taken its toll on Bulgaria and on the Bulgarian people... My mother usually tried her best to take care of us, while my father was working and helping us from Denmark... It's now when I live in Denmark (that I also had moved from my home country) that I began wondering and seeing some of the problems that this country and not only Bulgaria, but many countries on our planet, have been 'plagued' by. But despite the circumstances my life had seen, when I was young, I was very fortunate to have, as a child, experienced some of the true beauty that this country beholds. Something I was fortunate enough to mostly have held within me. That is why I believe that despite being affected by the negative side of society, love shall always be the key to unlocking the door to true happiness... Even if it is sometimes hard to follow the path of love and respect. Thank you for the video Yes Theory 🇧🇬
@@jamieguthrie1760 funny enough, I had also moved to Denmark from Bulgaria when I was 19, and some of the things that stand out to me are better health care, cleaner and more organized cities, less crime, less stress due to higher income.. but at the same time I've been considering if I should move back to Bulgaria or another warmer country, as Denmark for 4-5 months of the year is very rainy, with thick clouds and has nowhere near the beautiful nature that we have in Bulgaria. As a foreigner in Denmark, also the social connections have been quite harder to make compared to being in your home country with good friends and family.
@@jamieguthrie1760 It is hard to define it to be honest... It is not only in Bulgaria that i have seen "problems"... One thing could be the mentality of our societies, but every countriy has it's upsides and downsides... @@redinabloogs8477 well it is what it is, there's people from all sides, but out of all the countries I've been and I've been to quite a few, Bulgaria had the worst racism
@@naveed755 You are not wrong about the racism part. Most people living there never lived in a society with people from different backgrounds. I feel bad that this occurred to you guys and I hope these few horrible people did not tarnish your experiences. These are one of the many problems in Bulgaria despite having great things. This is the most positive comment section I have seen outside of sleep music videos. ❤ Absolutely beautiful, and also to see how many native Bulgarians have seen it and been brought joy from the video.
I can’t believe you came to my country and my city-Sofia. I am so glad that you showed the good side of Bulgaria and I am happy that you enjoyed your time here! Love from Bulgaria
Hey guys, TV watcher just checking in here. I always watch you guys and I actually bought a couple pieces of merch from you guys (which I never do). You guys have been a great way for me to show my mom the world outside the U.S & you have really helped her to understand that, even in places that would be categorized as a “no go zone”, most countries are full of beautiful people who love others. I appreciate the Yes Theory team and all that you have done over the years. You guys are awesome!
I've been on a Yes Theory binge recently to catch up on all the videos I have missed over the past year and I am being reminded why I love this channel and philosophy and excitement for life and education! I feel like I zone out of my day and am smiling and laughing constantly while also learning and sympathising in each and every video. Yes Theory helped me massively in my life get through my lowest points and I'm so happy I can still come back now out the other side to get that boost and reminder to love and appreciate life 💚 thank you guys for simply being yourselves and continuing to educate and put a smile on so many faces wherever you go!
As an eglishman living in Switzerland. I absolutely love visiting bulgaria. So much culture, history and lovely people. Ive been to 2 weddings there now and by far the best weddings ive attended. Truly an interesting and amazing country.
I might be biased because I am a Bulgarian but this is one of your best videos yet so far guys❤ The way you perfectly captured the emotion and tradition of our country could not have been better! Lots of love from Bulgaria
Love that you had fans come up and stocked to meet you guys and you just ask them to hang out with you’s at the fair!! That’s so humbling and cool for you guys are awesome!!
I work with a chap from Bulgaria and he always says how friendly everyone is . He's even said he would have a place for me to stay, but always said to him that would be lovely and never really thought about it as I'm not to great with going new places especially somewhere abroad . Watching you guys has made me think I should put myself out my comfort zone and just say yes . I'm going to have a chat with him and see where it goes
I was in Bulgaria this year for 2 weeks and absolutely fell In love with this country. I’ve been binge watching your channel and was so excited to see Bulgaria on the list. I hope to one day buy some property here.
The fact that Gergana didn't know about your UA-cam channel or how famous you all actually are shows her incredibly sweet character. She is, for sure, the type of person you want to be around 24/7, haha. It would be amazing to see her in your upcoming adventures!🧚🏻♀
Hah, I do love her personality but I dont know if id say she is the type of person you want to be around 24/7. Sure, she is fun, but extreme spontaneity is very unpredictable. Its good, maybe, to be that way on a holiday, since you have no real responsibilities then.
Hello guys! I'm Bulgarian, and I've been following your channel for years. Thank you for always being open to seeing the best in every place and for breaking negative stereotypes. I believe this mindset is what leads you to meet people like Gergana and is the reason you have the best community of followers and friends. Seriously, thank you for the amazing effort you put into providing us with such great content!
Малко заболя като прочетох заглавието и веднага се сетих за България. Thank you Yes Theory for making a video of my country! Gergana was the perfect guide for you in Bulgaria, such warm spirited and kind! Much love to all of you 🤍💚❤
Bulgaria was my first international trip out of the US for study abroad. It was when the travel bug bit me and changed my life. I was so excited that you were doing a video about this country and its beautiful people! ❤
As a Bularian living abroad because my parents decided it when I was young, thank you for this video! ❤ I too want to return one day. Videos like yours show me that people from other countries often get a very positive impression of Bulgaria through their trips. Thank you for making this!
When you return, you will see that it's not all this funny as shown on the video. Coming to live here with salary coming from Western country ok, or if you are in the IT sector will be good for living and it the 4 big cities. Living in some small village far away from those big cities and depending on a job there, no chance of survive or only survivor day for day.. But when you see the shity administration, stupid police officers that don't know English and can guide you or when they are ignorant about your stolen items or you being raped or something like that you will start to dislike it very quickly. And about the medicare if you have paid medical insurance from your company you will be ok but if you decide to trust the "free" medical care from the government, oo la la, your movie just begins and it's genre is going to be HORROR. Yes on video and coming to be here for some time with good health is ok, but if I have the chance of escape from here I will do it. Follow or P.M. for more tips.
@TheMilenkata Yes, I am aware of all these things. My family hasn't been completely separated from our homeland all these years and in fact my dad still lives there, my brother returned a few years ago and I've got more family & friends there. The things you talk about like the police not doing their job and the medicare ignoring you happens in 'the west' as well. I've lived in The Netherlands and in the UK for many years and trust me - life isn't as rosy here as the rumours in Bulgaria would like to make you believe. The harsh truth is: there is no 'promised land'. There is no 'paradise' anywhere on our planet right now. Life is gonna have rough aspects to deal with no matter where you live. The question is what are your personal principles and priorities and what is really important to you in your life. Loads of westerners moving to Bulgaria now and they have their reasons. Yes, it's way easier with western salaries, 100%! But the situation is the west isn't looking good at the moment - by far! Thinking of what's to come.... Bulgaria, with all its downsides, just may be a somewhat better option after all.
I am Bulgarian, and watching your video I felt very kind feelings, even though you showed a small part of my country. Thank you! I look forward to the sequel!
As a Portuguese, I lived and studied there for 5 months and all the country impressed me so much, lovely to see you going through all the places I’ve been to! 🤩🤩
@asen7574, that's interesting that you say that because watching this video and reading some of people experience visiting Bulgaria really reminds me of Portugal. Maybe one day I will visit your beautiful country.
Bulgarian is beautiful and Gergana is right, when you’re there you feel free. People leave thinking the grass is greener somewhere else, eventually they realize what they left behind and return.
That bulgarian mom was absolutely beautiful and had an infectiously joyous personality. Yall were lucky to have gotten to experience such wholesome moments with her!
This video popped up on my channel, and I clicked on it spontaneously. I was pleasantly surprised and watched the entire time with a smile on my face 😃 my partner is Bulgarian and we are traveling to Bulgaria in just about 2.5 weeks. I love this country! 🥰🇧🇬
I just love seeing people coming to my home country and enjoying all the traditions, food, and people. I am glad you guys had so much fun and showed Bulgaria to so many people
watching this video right after our Bulgaria trip!! Can confirm that Bulgarian people are the friendliest and all speak excellent English. We had such a great time in Sofia!!!
I spent two weeks in Bulgaria last year and fell in LOVE! I had an amazing time and I would love to go back and experience more there. Thank you for showing how beautiful Bulgaria is❤
Amazing video! I'm from Bulgaria, but I live abroad. I miss my home and we are moving back in the beginning of next year! A lot of Bulgarians are doing so :)
That’s wonderful news that you are going home! I hope more do the same! I’m from US and I want to go now! I just retired 1 tear ago. My husband and I want to travel and Bulgaria is now on my list, along with other countries in that area. It looks so beautiful and I want to try the food!! TY to YES THEORY FOR TAKING US WITH YOU! 💕
Great video! I have never seen anyone make a video on Bulgaria as a tourist and do such a good job! As a Bulgarian I can gladly say that this video made me really happy! You guys are awesome!
As a Bulgarian I am pleased to see you guys come to our country and like it. A lot of people think that Bulgaria is unrepairable from it's resent very decreasing population, VERY unstable government and just poor economy for Europe standards. You are welcome to come anytime!!!

What?! I can't believe you were actually in Bulgaria! I watched the entire video right away and just had to leave a comment - thank you for telling such a beautiful story about my country. I looked up the dates of the festival you went to and realized I was up in the mountains at that time. Can't stop wondering how awesome it would've been to see you walking down the street in Sofia. If you ever come back to Bulgaria, I'd love to be your guide. I can think of so many fascinating people you'd love to meet and quite a few adventures - we're currently mapping out the biggest wild caves in the country, my friend supports the production teams of a few international survival shows shot here in Bulgaria, some places in the mountains are well know for mysterious occurrences, and the list just goes on. Thank you for the inspiration throughout the years - I have learnt a lot from you and wish you all the best on your future journeys!
I am Bulgarian , I study in Germany and i feel really death inside in germany. Always when i come back for summer in Bulgaria I feel happy and fufilled. I love the weather, the food, the nightlife and especially the nature. I will probably go back when im ready with studying .
Germany is like that. Many serbian people who went there came back with even mental health issues. I would never choose to stay in Germany as they treat foreign workers way differently than German workers. Finish your studies and go back to Eastern Europe where at least you have love and freedom. Life without love and freedom is nothing.
of course you do but the OP's country is either america or the uk or maybe canada where crime is absurd compared to bulgaria, it's hilarious to claim people want to leave bulgaria in 2024, 10 years later.

🤗 Another Bulgarian here. Hi guys! Thank you for showing my country in such a positive light! Great content as always! I am glad you met friendly people here that made you feel welcome in our not so small and very beautiful country. Last summer in Paris with my partner we ran into Thomas in front of the Eiffel tower and we were so glad to meet you in person. It was such a nice coincidence that made our day so exciting! I have never imagined you visiting my country and walking just a few steps from my house 😀 Again, thank you for making this video and showing Bulgaria from your perspective. 🩵

Damn, I was gonna guess Belarus by the title. I went to Sofia last summer and had the TIME OF MY LIFE. Love Bulgaria, love Bulgarians, love Sofia, so much fun.

Please take Gregana on a bucket list trip for her. The warmth she showed you all was so heartwarming.

That would be a really fun adventure! One can only imagine what an itinerary she’d come up with!

British guy from London, here. I retired 8yrs ago and went to live permanently in Bulgaria. Still here. Love it. You guys did a good job of giving a fair impression of this lovely country.

The people are extremely friendly, so charming and the food is magnificent.
I love Bulgaria 🇧🇬 ❤
As a Bulgarian with many Mexican friends I think our cultures are so similar, love Mexico so freaking much ☀️

Life is so easy when you're home away from the jungle of soul seeking imigrants accross the tourist areas. ;D

@@SniperLogic she meant the government..so u would not be affected AS u your pension would come from ur native country
Hi guys, another Bulgarian here. 🙋🏼♀️
Earlier today, my friends sent me your video telling me “Guess where they are this time”.
One of the reasons why I live in Bulgaria for 12 years as a Dutch guy.
I have only this week discovered your absolutely fun and equally interesting channel here on UA-cam. 11 out of 10 points to you! Each of you and your adventurous spirits have taken me back to my youth of travel to off-beat places. And now, on my first week of retirement, I am planning again to strike out on fun adventures from my home in Germany to see as many other unique places as well. Your adventures and friendly spirit toward the locals and adopting them into your travels is the cherry on the cake. I am even further inspired. Thanks and keep on making the trails you follow a happier path for those who come after you. Cheers! JJM
Hi, I'm 67 and my health has been in free fall. Can't sit or stand more than a few minutes without pain. Your video's always make me smile. Thank you for all the happiness you bring to others.

Keep dreaming!.EU has done all it could do to make people empovrished
and succeded.

BULGARIA FOREVER!!! 🇧🇬🇧🇬🤍💚❤️
As a kid growing up in Bulgaria, I didn't see or understand the problems that had taken its toll on Bulgaria and on the Bulgarian people...
My mother usually tried her best to take care of us, while my father was working and helping us from Denmark...
It's now when I live in Denmark (that I also had moved from my home country)
that I began wondering and seeing some of the problems that this country and not only Bulgaria, but many countries on our planet, have been 'plagued' by.
Tak Denmark 🇩🇰

What are some of the problems you can see now in Bulgaria after living in Denmark?

Thank you for your hospitality❤
Много ми е чудно защо ходиш до Германия, сякаш България не го предлага това, което учиш?
my Catalan friend who is living in Germany says the exact same think.
As a Swede with roots in Bulgaria I must say this video was truly inspiring! Keep on the amazing work you do guys!
Big love to Gergana as well!
I have never imagined you visiting my country and walking just a few steps from my house 😀
Again, thank you for making this video and showing Bulgaria from your perspective. 🩵
Haha, nice coincidences. : )
I was in Bulgaria a year ago and was amazed by the country. I am glad you all had a wonderful experience there and doing great work to promote it while spreading your message! Going on 8 years as a subscriber soon!
This gave me goosebumps, I was waiting for an episode in Bulgaria. Thank you for portraying our country in such a beautiful way! Благодаря! 🤍💚❤
I'm binge watching your videos. I appreciate seeing how you embrace each journey while making new friends. God bless & keep traveling 🙏
Damn, I was gonna guess Belarus by the title. I went to Sofia last summer and had the TIME OF MY LIFE. Love Bulgaria, love Bulgarians, love Sofia, so much fun.
The cheapest? They were smart to keep the Leva and not adopt the Euro to avoid the change of cost of living.
As a Sofia resident, Plovdiv is even better. By far. Reason to come again maybe.

@@asdf3668 thanks, I only heard it spoken and never saw it written so I was just guessing.
But why does Media portrait Bulgaria often in a bad way?
