Hey everyone, Viltė here, the girl who stutters in the video :D First of all, I want to say a huge thank you to Ammar & Staffan (and their coolest videographer!) for coming to Lithuania. We may be small, but we have the biggest hearts, so huge thanks for filling them up. In my wildest dreams I couldn't imagine to see you guys not on screen but in real life. It's still surreal. And thank you for showing up to our festival (can't wait for everyone to come next year! Open invitation) Yes Theory family, you are all invited to Lithuania, at all times. It's happy here. I promise you that :) Love!
Just to add a bit of context, the Hill of Crosses was completely demolished for several times during the USSR, but every time Lithuanian people would recreate it and bring even more crosses. Death can never win over Life. I'm so happy that you've visited my country. And you chose the most relevant, iconic places, vital for every Lithuanian's identity. Happy to see us happy and sharing happiness with you, guys!
But what about the Three Crosses Monument (Trijų kryžių kalnas), designed by Polish-Lithuanian architect Antoni Wiwulski (Lith.: Antana Vivulskis)? - Or the earliest documented name of the city in which it again stands: „Volumus enim episcopos, sacerdotes, religiosos ordinis [...], quibus iam ereximus duas ecclesias in civitate nostra regia, dicta Vilna, et aliam Novgardia, ad quas nobis hoc anno quatuor fratrem scientes polonicum, semigallicum ac ruthenicum [...]” ? Clearly no source of happiness in the Lithuania of today.
I would love to see them do a trip to Latvia too! I'm an American, but my grandfather was from Lithuania and my great grandfather was from Latvia. I would love to go to both places one day, learn more about my roots, and eat all the foods I remember from my childhood.
Hi, because of this video I decided to visit the baltic states for 3 weeks. Anyone who'd like to connect, maybe meet up while I'm there end of September/beginning of October?
Love to hear that. Lithuania is country of basketball, I reccomend you visiting "BC Kauno Žalgiris" when they have a game against euroleague teams. The atmosphere there is insane, worth the time 😁🔥
Hello from Indonesia. Last year, I lived in Australia, and my landlady is Lithuanian. She was the kindest person during my time in Australia. She would sometimes give me her handmade cake and allowed me to use all the items in the kitchen. She even lent me a warm blanket during the winter as I didn't have one. I hope God blesses her in Australia. And one more thing, she always gave me advice and shared her knowledge about Europe because I plan to pursue my master's degree there. I am happy to have gained so much knowledge about European life and also learned more about my future courses. I have been fortunate to hear many stories about the beautiful country of Lithuania.
Staffan & Ammar here. We once again wanna say thank you to every single human we met during our visit to Lithuania. You made our trip extra magical (both on and off camera). We can’t wait to be back
Pleaaaaase come back!! I’ve been following for years and it’s always been my dream for you guys to come here, I hope you come back so I can run into you!!
Hello i'm from the Philippines and I regularly meet Lithuanian tourists going for beach trips. They're really kind and cool people and very smart. And all of them are good looking too!
Im Lithuanian! Its a pleasure to see my country be represented in such a warm light. I myself have been living in Ireland since I was 2 years old but as a kid I used to always go home for summers where I made my fondest memories. The past three years Ive once again started going back and I have realised how much I love my country. Being there I finally feel in the right place. Ive promised myself that once I finish my studies here Im going to move back home and start my career there. Negaliu sulaukt!
The first destination I chose for traveling as an adult were the three Baltic as they always interested me and weren't too far away. I visited in early February and it was very cold, but when I reached Vilnius towards the end of my journey, it actually unintentionally matched with their national holiday - and coming from Germany, I could have never began to imagine people walking through the streets, singing in celebratation of their country together (in the middle of winter!). It was very inspiring to me and it is still one of my favourite traveling memories.
14:23 me raising my sisters hand, who then flew on a hot air balloon with you 🥰🥹 Thank you for taking care of my sister and for spreading love (over fear)🧡 As with many of your other videos, I ended up with happy tears in my eyes while watching this.
Holy cow! Guys, what’s the episode! I was full of different emotions: from being interested to absolute adoration. I’m Ukrainian and the way Lithuanians still support us, it’s just indescribable. Lithuania, with the first open opportunity, I’m heading to your country. You’ve fired up my heart ❤️
Being half Lithuanian (my maternal great grandparents left during the war) this episode truly warms my heart and really brings to light how beautiful the country is. Pagarba lietuviams iš U.S. 🇱🇹
I am an old American man of almost 75 who was never able to travel the world as many young do today. Stumbled across Yes Theory a couple of years ago and you guys always open my heart and mind with your videos. You travel with open hearts and minds creating large and small adventures most importantly deep connections however brief the encounter. Now I will return to Lithuania and know that I will be taught about the richness of being human in today’s mad times.❤🙏
I visited Lithuania for a week, several years ago and it is a beautiful country. One thing I noticed back then, which is reiterated on this video, was everyone's understanding of how fragile freedom is. If only the rest of the world could take this same approach to life. Also, the Hill of Crosses is a must see!
Always loved Lithuania. Brother Latvian here. Used go to Klaipeda whith parents as a kid long time ago and have great memories together, when I finally turned 18 and passed my test, would every year for my birthday(in winter) to Vilnius! Stunning city and really friendly people. I thank Yes Theory for showing this beautiful country on their platform and hopefully more people will come and and experience Lithuania.
Best country to be young, with one of highest % of suicides and youth suicide in all of Europe and one of highest % of emmigrants especially in the group of 25- 34 yo (12-25k a year emmigrating) ? When the country is so GREAT for young people, why do young people emmigrate and commit suicide so much more than EU average? Especially in the category of university graduates?
I am a "young" 64 years old man from Montréal (french speaking part or Canada) and I need to tell you that all of you from Lithuania are so inspiring! Thanks Yes Theory! Bravo! ❤✌️
7 years ago, I met a wonderful girl from Lithuania who introduced me to her culture. They're unexpectedly kind and welcoming people and I've seen a warmth that I believed was exclusive to my side of the world, Morocco. Moreover, it was very inspiring to see that the youth realises very clearly the generational trauma caused by the soviet occupation and is actively working on collective healing, which I believe led to an overall very mature young society. I now happily celebrate Lithuanian independence day and those shots of Šaltibarščiai(aka pink soup) got me very nostalgic. I also appreciated a lot the connection with nature in general and forests and lakes in particular. Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga are very vibrant beautiful cities. Can't wait to be back.
I'm lithuanian and have been watching your videos for a long time. I'm so glad you visited our beautiful country. I have to say, a lot of the happiness that we as young people feel in this country comes from how much we care about our environment and nature. I hope you enjoyed the visit
Hi, because of this video I decided to visit the baltic states for 3 weeks. Anyone who'd like to connect, maybe meet up while I'm there end of September/beginning of October?
My family is from Lithuania and it was so cool seeing what it’s like over there. As someone who has never been outside the US. This video has inspired me to travel to Lithuania.
I visited Lietuva last year and they are absolutely the friendliest, most beautiful and kind hearted people I have ever encountered in my travels! I made many friends there, including my Lithuanian brother Sarunas, his wife and friends that were beyond amazing and so welcoming !! I tell everyone I know to go visit!! Amazing food, atmosphere and not expensive!!
I'm from korea and like lithuania, korea was occupied during the world wars by japan, but the difference is that the prisons and places of resistance from that era is still a place of sorrow and pain, therefore many young people are sort of reluctant to visit. The lithuanians converting their historical sight to places of joy hit me really hard i wish koreans did the same.
Invaders built us a prison and we turned it into a rave house. That sums up a story of a long fight for liberation with a happy ending. There are plenty of somber places for remembrance of what happened here too, yet it's important to remember the joys of freedom and liberty. I know very well the struggles that my parents had to go through just for basic human rights and it just gives me more appreciation for what we have here today.
Yeah! Lithuania! I'm a Canadian now living in Montreal. I was in Lithuania for a month, in 1993, three years after they had gained independance, and I remember passing the place where the last young dissidents were executed just two years prior. Young people fighting for their country. I was their age at the time. It was quite upsetting. I performed plays at LCC in Klaipeda and a bit all over the country. I found the young people, even back then, full of hope, of determination, of vision and a sense of fun. I'm sure it has only grown since then. Fun to see this beautiful little country featured on your cannel. Love what you do!
I’m watching this and crying from good emotions. I rarely feel so touched by a video but this one just reminds me of how proud I can be being a simple Lithuanian in this big world full of everything. To be the people that spread good intentions in this world is the most we can do.
Lithuania and Lithuanians are amazing. I met a lovely Lithuanian 13 years ago, and she showed me her country and immersed me into her culture. I married her and we have a beautiful daughter. We are planning to move there because unfortunately “old” Europe is no longer a positive place for me personally. I consider myself an adopted Lithuanian now! @ Yes Theory! Thanks for showing the world how Lithuanian are and for showing what they had to endure in the past. Not to mention the other Baltic States who were under Soviet Russian occupation. Sveiki Brolai
I am Ukrainian, and I knew we shared significant historical similarities: Rzeczpospolita, Moscow occupation, the USSR, and multiple fights for independence. However, I couldn't have imagined how similar the vibe among young people is to pre-war Ukraine. Lithuanians, I really appreciate your support! Now, I really want to visit Vilnius, and I hope to have the opportunity in the near future.
Same feeling. We’re not ‘young’ young, but went to Kyiv in 2018 with our kid and loved the vibe, people were cool, great food, nice places, impressive city. We’re together till the end!
As a person who's Lithuanian 🇱🇹 and also a youth worker my heart sings while watching this video ❤ This video totally shows the essence of our country's spirit and transformation: how love, creativity and kindness of our generation can lift us up from the dark past, transform the negativity into the light and to help everyone feel understood, loved and accepted. Your videos had been inspiring me a lot for the past almost seven years - as a person, and as a youth worker who goes through life with love, support and kindness for every young person, who comes with the ask for help. Proud to be a small part of growing the light in every young Lithuanian person and then watching them spreading that light they got to the other people 🥰
As a gen z Iranian currently living under a cruel regime, this made me very emotional. It was always my dream to feel freedom and hope in my home, but unfortunately I spent my whole life trying to leave💔
Every time I watch one of your videos I just want to cry! More so because my grandmother was Lithuanian and her entire family were wiped out in the concentration camps in 1944. She escaped to India! Thank you Bernie in Sydney c1964
Hey y’all! I just arrived to Lithuania only in May, long story short, I’m in the U.S. Army and was sent here, originally I was going to Poland and I was so excited to go because I have a close friend I met back in the states and he lives in Warsaw and we haven’t seen each other in years. But I got news I was no longer going to Poland but instead to Lithuania, and if I’m being honest, I was not happy at all! 😒 Being from the states I have never left my country till this May, so when I thought I was going to Poland, a more popular country in Europe, I couldn’t wait. But instead I got Lithuania, and the only thing I knew about Lithuania was that they’re great at basketball 😅 But I tell you what, this country is amazing! I met someone from Lithuania that helped me see the beauty of this great country! Every opportunity I get I go to Vilnius to just walk around (or scooter around 😂) and just am amazed by the culture here. And to see a city that has gothic architecture, modern construction, and Soviet style monuments and buildings all at once is a sight to see! I can’t wait to explore more and am looking forward to visiting Kaunas soon as I can! This country is definitely a gem that needs to be more publicized and Yes Theory has gave it its spotlight it so deserves! This country will now forever hold a special place in my heart, and will definitely visit again when my time here is done 👍
Warsaw is like 6hours of driving from Lithuania. Please see Klaipėda and its areas of my hometown. Warsaw is also great city aswell, i love to visit Poland. Beautiful country, we have a lot in commom in our history.
@@hoop-td1uq Yes, I visited Latvia and Estonia as well. They are also similar. especially i like the part they are not invaded by other country people unlike rest of Europe. Very few places in Europe where we can still see native people living.
@@Kovaiitamilan the invasion has reached us as well, but so far they have assimilated calmly into our introverted and calm country. perhaps because we dont get people looking for easy money and benefits. no easy money here and you have to earn those benefits
How the Fuck can you talk about invasion when tour own youth is leaving massively to study in western Europe, nowhone IS comming cuz your place is clueless that's it@@feiknaim150
I am 66 and love to travel this way. Thank you YesTheory for showing us beautiful places, but most of all its people. For me it's so valuable to learn what its people think and are doing. Congratulations Lithuanians. May God bless you and you do the same for your country.
Thank you guys for this video and for opening my eyes to Lithuanian culture. You have no idea how much it means to me to see people finding happiness that I so much struggle to find. Big love from Portugal 🇵🇹
Great video! I visited the Baltics a couple of months ago and fell in love with Lithuania! People were very polite, always happy to help and seemed pretty happy. I also loved the nature there and was lucky to even see the Northern Lights, which i thought i would never experience!! Lithuania turned out to be my favourite country and i have promised myself to go back again and explore it more! Looking forward to your new videos in September!
I cried so much when they were standing up so bravely in front of everyone talking so beautiful about their country. The way you bring people together and how much positivity you're spreading through your videos is astonishing❤
I have been watching your videos for years and starting tearing up when I saw this video was about Lithuania! My great grandparents came to the US from Lithuania through Ellis Island and it was so painful for them to leave their beautiful country. They tried really hard to build a Lithuanian community in Brooklyn. Growing up, I was always reminded by my grandparents and mom how proud I should be to be Lithuanian and to have a Lithuanian name. I know they would be so happy to see this❤ I’d love to meet some yes fam members when I visit with my fiancé and cousin next year!!
Ellis Island! So cool, I've heard of rooms and rooms of records about people who came via Ellis Island, fun to know that Lithuanian names are also part of that history. Hope you'll have a lovely time visiting!
Hi, because of this video I decided to visit the baltic states for 3 weeks. Anyone who'd like to connect, maybe meet up while I'm there end of September/beginning of October?
Im 43 Year old Father from South Africa a country rotten by corruption and crime,Altough we are not at physical war, surviving here is a Mental War!!,Altough your country had a troubled pass,I wish my 3 kids can rather be young people in Lithuania!,WHAT A INSPIRATION!!!! for the worlds youth!!
This is definitely one of my top favorite Yes Theory videos (and I've been watching for years!). I feel a genuine warmth and internal glow after witnessing your journey in Lithuania. Thank you for sharing this with us and reminding us that there is brightness to be found. Also -- all the Lithuanians were so stylish! Especially loved the hipster vibe that seemed pretty common. Beautiful people!
@@martinkoitmae6655 Depends. If you want to see only cities then you have to do all three countries. If you love nature then every country has a lot more to offer, you then can easily spend not 2 but 5 days in each.
Dear Lithuanians, Unfortunately we have the same history for the last 200 years or so.. that's why i know exactly how it feels to start from the beginning because both of our country's are going through the same ups and downs. Even in the hardest times (2 wars with "Ruzzia" in almost 30 years and still these days our countries' 20 % of territories is still occupied..) you had our backs no matter what and for that i want to truly say thank you from the bottom of my heart! We, Georgians admire you guys for everything that you've done to us, especially in the last years when the Bill was passed in Lietuva about changing our country's name from "Gruzija" (which was originated from Russian Kingdom) to "Sakartvelo" (Which we call our country in our native language). We truly respect your dignity and solidarity towards to us and and what's more, we respect your strict policies against our enemy! I want to say a lot about the "Soviet Regime" but i'll try to make it shorter. To people who's countries might not suffered by the Regime, i just want to say that it was the hardest times in our countries histories. Only in Georgia 1.5 million people (who just wanted to live happily and peacefully in their homeland) were shot and a lot more were deported from their land.. Just realize how many people were shot or either deported in whole Soviet Union by the regime. I truly believe that we, the post-soviet countries (especially the eastern european countries), by sticking together will defeat our enemy once and for all! Hopefully i'll visit your beloved country very soon! P.S. Thank you very much Yes Theory for everything that you have done to your subscribers/followers! you have truly changed a lot of peoples' lives by your kindness acts. Greetings from Tbilisi! გაუმარჯოს საქართველოს! 🇬🇪 Šlovė Lietuva! 🇱🇹 Слава Україні! 🇺🇦
As a Lithuanian I grew up making jokes about Estonians and Latvians as well as ourselves but in the end they would always be our brothers in fate, ever since 2008 we gained a new sibling Georgia, stay strong brothers, much love from Lithuania.
@@mikeromadin8744Because that‘s completely irrelevant. He only cared about having as much power as possible and it‘s not like he treated the people of the Georgian SSR any better than the rest. Georgia doesn‘t bear any responsability for his actions.

I've recently come back from a trip to Vilnius, Lithuania, and watching this video illustrated exactly how I felt, that Lithuania is a truly magical, proud and resilient nation. The country is, in many ways, still recovering from its tumultuous past, yet of all the baltic states, it's the most accessible in my eyes. There's a spirituality that hums throughout this hallowed land - on a walking tour I learnt about Lithuania's pagan roots, and that mysticism shone through throughout my time discovering Vilnius, as if etched into every cobblestoned street. The people are open, witty and articulate, their connection to nature is so deeply felt, and the broader Lithuanian culture is fascinating. I felt at peace visiting Vilnius, there's a stillness present here, a joy that was so refreshing. Thank you for making such a beautiful video. Your commitment to exploring the world is beyond inspiring, not only for I, but for the millions of people who watch your content.

The Hill of Crosses gave me goosebumps, I want to visit Lithuania someday, it seems to be such a beautiful country. Love from Russia. We should be friends, not enemies. I hope that someday we will live in peace together. Tautos jėga vienybėje. Šlovė Lietuvai!
I’m from Lithuania and I was crying while watching this.. thank you so much for showing our country! And talking loudly about our freedom that we are so proud of! ❤️ Love you guys!
Hi, because of this video I decided to visit the baltic states for 3 weeks. Anyone who'd like to connect, maybe meet up while I'm there end of September/beginning of October?
I remember attending The Taste of Chicago in the 1980’s. Advocates for Lithuania were seeking petition signatures for a free and democratic Lithuania. I remember signing the petition and recruiting as many people as possible from the nearby crowd to do so as well, my friends included. Forty years later, it’s so gratifying to see this generation of Lithuanians collectively working towards the best future for their country. Your visit to the jail and Hill of Crosses was extremely emotional and reminded me of my own visit to Kilmainham Gaol (Jail) in Dublin, where I could feel the souls of the departed in the executioner’s courtyard. Thank you for creating lifelong memories for the Lithuanians with whom you interacted. Rest up, recharge and renew yourselves! Many blessings to each of you!
My family fled Lithuania back in the 1900s when they were invaded by the Russians, they haven't been able to go back since. Growing up some of my favorite memories of my great grandma was her cooking different recopies from Lithuania, the house always smelled so good. Watching this makes me feel a strange sense of nostalgia for a place I never been. I hope to visit someday. Maybe it will be the first country I visit ever.
Not sure if anyone will see this comment but my family and I are Lithuanian citizens whose great grandparents left before WWI because of Jewish persecution. We had our citizenship returned a few years ago. Unfortunately we’ve still not been able to visit but thank you for the insight into the country and culture. Looking forward to going in the near future.
Glad to hear your grandparents have survived, hopefully they had a nice life! Jewish people had a strong impact on Lithuanian culture, and perhaps you will see the imprint in Lithuanian cuisine as well..such as similar dishes to latkes or prakas.
I am Bulgarian and during one of my summer stays to work and live in Spain when I was still a student about 10 years ago I had a colleague from Lithuania. One of the coolest persons I ever met.
Proud Lithuanian-American here and I feel like this video nailed what my perception of Lithuania is too :) I am always amazed by Lithuanians' connection with nature and with each other after such a tumultuous recent history. Lithuanians are some of the most persistent and driven people I know. I am so happy to hear this all being shared 🥰 thank you Yes Theory fam for highlighting our culture!!!
Šlovė Lietuvai! Graži šalis ir gražūs žmonės 🇱🇹 Having studied the countries of the USSR for 10+ years and lived myself in many places in the former soviet republics thank you Yes Theory for showing that the beauty of the people, their warm hospitality, desire for community and pursuit of unity will always prevail, transcend and never be overshadowed by political events. It is so exciting to see the younger generation of Lithuania rise up and promote the message of love and togetherness - what beautiful people inside and out! Also shout out to your hugely talented team behind the scenes to make such extraordinary content each week ✌
I am originally from Kazakhstan, living in Canada. I visited Druskininkai when I was 13. And I loved the people, nature and kindness of Lithuania. I always want to visit again. Hopefully I am coming soon ❤

I do not think I comment that much on your videos. But I felt this time I needed to. This truly is such a wonderful, heartwarming, and loving video. Vilte, you are an inspiration. Yes Theory, I am so moved by what you did, and I am grateful. I pray God's continued blessings on you both.
Thank you for sharing, my grandfather immigrated to the US from Lithuania to escape oppression when he was very young. He would be so happy to see his home country now 68 years after his death. ❤
What struck me the most was the genuineness and welcoming nature of the people, a zeal to spread positive vibes, love for nature. What a beautiful glimpse into the lovely country. As people who have organized so many get togethers , this one really seemed to be so special. Thank you Yes Theory for this gem! - A fellow Seeker :)
Me and my boyfriend went to Greek island zakynthos last two weeks. I finally experienced something like yes theory, I was so thirsty so went to a shop for water, the water was only 80p. But I had no coins, no cash and could only pay card, I said oh never mind and the shop owner, a hunch back old woman said ‘take it, I don’t want anyone to be thirsty’ turns out something happened to her son due to lack of water. We came back and gave a tenner to her, while she didn’t want to accept it we told her it was for her kindness. We were speechless about her kindness. Because of you guys, I went on an airplane after years of agoraphobia, but I also asked locals if they could help us, I’m so scared of rejection, yet you guys inspired me and my boyfriend to … as you say… seek discomfort. We are thinking of actually rocking some merch now. Thank you for inspiring us. I know it’s small, but hope you see this and realise the incredible things you are doing. P.s. because of you guys I invited a waiter to come and travel his island he has never properly explored, sadly he couldn’t but he certainly was happy to see us a few days after and remembered us
Almost made it to Latvia! So close but no cigar. Can't wait for an episode with my country, but this was excellent substitue for now. Very happy to see our brother nation of Lithuania show their country so well.
I will definitely visit Lithuania. As a Czech I see many similarities, we were also occupied by the Russians and even before that by Germany. We have really similar nature and it seems to me that we have a similar mindset. We also have so many government properties that have a second use. We have parties inside military airfields or bunkers. We have buildings with new uses. I really liked this video, the people seem really open and friendly. Big support for Viltė to speak up. You are great!
Great to meet you all! Living in Lithuania for a year was one of the best years of my life. The young people in the country have a hunger and appreciation for life that I don't feel as fully back in America. I will miss the šaltibarščiai and the people dearly

I went on a missions trip to Lithuania in June and fell completely in love with the country 💛 Watching this back home now made me smile seeing all the places I also got the opportunity to explore 😊
When I went to Vilnius back in the early 80's, Lithuania was part of the soviet union. For the visa, there was no visit a friend section so I had to put my visa request in the family section. Even back then, You could feel this energy coming from people in there 20's. It is a long lost memory for me now, but I can still remember how warmly I was greeted by just about everybody that I met. Super glad to see where Lithuania is now!
As someone that has a very occasional stutter, although not regularly it does rear its head on occasion. The beautiful young lady with the stutter was very brave speaking in front of that large group, well done!
Yes Theory shows me that despite what we are being told/taught to fear/hate each other, we are all basically the same and just trying to have a happy life.
Yup. You can live in Time Square, New York, or you can be a caveman in the amazon jungle, it doesn’t matter, we all have the same basic human needs and wants.
bro...100%...some world leaders want to make the world larger so we feel further apart...thats one thing social media/global content did right, and made it smaller. 3 of my closest friends are in other countries. might not physically see them ever or often, but wont change the love for them.
The darkness in the world seems to only make the light shine brighter! Thank you for this journey and the message of hope and happiness it gives. Truly, love conquers fear.
I'm Lithuanian, WOW, unexpected, so good to see you guys visiting our country. It's true that our young generation is quite happy. Young generation does smile way more and are more happy. The gap between older generation and young one is surreal for me. I know why this is the case. When we restored our independence, the parents put all their hopes and happiness into the kids.
I’ve been watching this channel since it had like 15,000 subscribers, so seeing my home country in one of your videos after the growth you all achieved gives me goosebumps. Ačiū!
During my last year of high school, my (Lithuanian) parents and I made it a habit to watch your videos on the big TV in our home in Vietnam. What a BLESSING it is to be able to watch one about my home country (which you crafted so beautifully that I teared up on many occasions) on my last day visiting them for Summer break from uni before they leave for Vietnam as well. You really captured the essence of being Lithuanian and what lies the foundation of our identity - freedom, community and hope. Sending all of my love! I hope that I can find a way to share happiness and bring joy to people as you do one day :)
This is why i watch this channel! Connecting people. Strangers are just friends you havent met yet. Thanks to you guys i think different about others. love you guys!
Hey Guys, a German here. Thank you for this heartwarming video. And standing ovations for the Lithuanians how they deal with the past and the dark places. That also stood out to me too, and that couple so sweet
The hill of crosses was very emotional...all those hopes and prayers..all the amazingly different crosses... blew my mind :)

I visited Lithuania for a week, several years ago and it is a beautiful country. One thing I noticed back then, which is reiterated on this video, was everyone's understanding of how fragile freedom is. If only the rest of the world could take this same approach to life. Also, the Hill of Crosses is a must see!

As someone who used to stutter, respect to that woman who had the courage to speak on camera on such a big channel.
I'm lithuanian and have been watching your videos for a long time. I'm so glad you visited our beautiful country. I have to say, a lot of the happiness that we as young people feel in this country comes from how much we care about our environment and nature. I hope you enjoyed the visit

It makes them forget the history. Now they love Hitler and nazis Germany. That is the point
@@arturincloud9892 It was an occupation, Russia did send an ultimatum to the country. Same way the germans did to Poland.
Sending my love to all Lithuanians from the U.S.! ❤
Yeah!

Lithuania and Lithuanians are amazing. I met a lovely Lithuanian 13 years ago, and she showed me her country and immersed me into her culture. I married her and we have a beautiful daughter.

Being from the states I have never left my country till this May, so when I thought I was going to Poland, a more popular country in Europe, I couldn’t wait.

Dear Lithuanians,
Unfortunately we have the same history for the last 200 years or so.. that's why i know exactly how it feels to start from the beginning because both of our country's are going through the same ups and downs.

Forty years later, it’s so gratifying to see this generation of Lithuanians collectively working towards the best future for their country.

After being agoraphobic for four years I'm finally healing. Glad to hear you're doing the same ❤️
This is inspiring!
Almost made it to Latvia! So close but no cigar. Can't wait for an episode with my country, but this was excellent substitue for now. Very happy to see our brother nation of Lithuania show their country so well.
There are too many russians in Latvia.
You guys responded to my comment talking about my struggles last video and it gave me an incredible fire within me. Since then ive accepted a PhD position to pursue my passion for studying on a groundbreaking project for naval engineering in the northwest passage in the canadian arctic and how it affects the local Inuit population. I plan to leave my job in the next few months to pursue it. Its scary but its what i want to do
Throughout this ill be able to have more flexibility to travel and do everything ive wanted to do.
What an awesome video and thank you for helping me push through my tough time, even if it was just a simple comment.
All love ❤
Good luck! Pursuing your dreams is what life is all about :)
Proud of you. Good luck!
@@JoshGeoGoose sO supremely happy you and the decision you've made for yourself! You are amazinG❤️ Huge Congratulations for the PhD position. Your passion project sounds hella interesting with a humane aspect. Love it! All the very very best to you Josh❤️
Love to hear it my man ❤️⚡️ proud of you for pushing through 🙏🏽
And here I am working on cars😂😂
I am from Lithuania myself and I am so Happy that you came to our country and showed how beautiful it truly is. Thank you !! ❤🎉
From Melbourne, much love to Lithuania. Friendly, kind beautiful souls❤ Happy tears, what a video!
I loved Lithuanian i was there for a few months in 2022 and it was one of the best countries I’ve been too
I went on a missions trip to Lithuania in June and fell completely in love with the country 💛 Watching this back home now made me smile seeing all the places I also got the opportunity to explore 😊
Please come visit now :)
As someone that has a very occasional stutter, although not regularly it does rear its head on occasion. The beautiful young lady with the stutter was very brave speaking in front of that large group, well done!
Thank you 🥹
I thought exactly the same, what a courageous woman!
Everyone seemed super genuine and nice. Love getting to experience the world through Yes Theory’s eyes!
As a Latvian, I am very proud and happy to see my brothers Lithuanians so happy and fulfilled!
why is everyone so goodlooking and nice! this is incredible
They sing when they feel united. Thats what i love the most about my country. Love yes theory and love Lietuva for ever.
Lithuania is one of the countries that I've been wanting to go to for ages, thanks for making this video guys!
This was your best, most uplifting, happiest video of all. We appreciate your enthusiasm, generosity and insight. More in the future, please.
This is one of my favorite videos you've done. It was simple and beautiful.
I’m in Scotland and I know 5 or 6 Lithuanians who stay here
Top lads
Lucky you! It's my dream to visit Scotland, will definitely do it someday.
Ačiū!
Because of this, I am definitely going to travel to Lithuania!!
❤
This is why i watch this channel! Connecting people. Strangers are just friends you havent met yet. Thanks to you guys i think different about others. love you guys!
Hey Guys, a German here. Thank you for this heartwarming video. And standing ovations for the Lithuanians how they deal with the past and the dark places. Our people have been the oppressors and bad guys yet still we have many "dark places" like bunkers that are used as homes or social places now. Let's keep it that way. Peace! ❤
You know, Germans are my favorite people in the EU :) In my mind, you won the war.
@@MysliusLT I think it's good that we didn't win the war. Nevertheless it brought so much suffering and pain over our people and the people around us...😢
The history between Lithuania and Germany is harsh, but we are not angry at todays germans, all of whom I met were really nice snd humble. We are all just people, don't beat yourself up for something that was in the past ❤️
@@radaval3012 My wife and I are actually planning to do a road trip trough the baltic states next year. Until then I am waving to you from the other side of the baltic sea. Greetings from the city of Eckernförde! 👋
@@adventure-phil8339 we cannot change the past, but we need to learn from it.
My grandfather managed to run away from German concentration camp. He wasn't Jewish, he was Lithuanian who refused to obey to German authorities. Then he ran away from the concentration camp he hid at some relatives home. Turns out German high ranking military officer was living in the same building. Soon he understood that my grandfather is hiding from German authorities. But the officer... he did not turn him in. He was a decent human being. My grandmother was sent to Germany as a work force to look after kids of high ranking Germans. Two of my grandgrandmothers survived the siege of Leningrad (they were Russians)). They barely made it.
Today the history is repeating itself in Ukraine. And we need to support the bright side. Otherwise the evil may spread.
Beautiful country, beautiful people, beautiful ideologies.
