‘General Hospital’ star Jacklyn Zeman has died. She was 70 years old. The soap opera’s executive producer, Frank Valentini, shared the sad news Wednesday on Twitter.

I watched Jackie since I was a little girl all the way up to adulthood. I was 1 when she started on General Hospital and can rememeber her from the time I was old enough to know what a soap opera was. So sad to hear of the loss of such a legend on General Hospital. I'm glad she was still doing what she loved until she died.
Been watching since 68, but was a few months behind on my Soaps & had no idea she was sick! I'm still in Shock! & am so sad to learn of this News! With Ephiphany too, this is just too much loss for one Soap to take! Love You Jackie! Rest in PEACE & POWER!!

When I came home from school at 3:00 when I was a child, I used to have my snack & sit in front of the TV. My mother always had on General Hospital. I started watching & became obsessed with this show, I realized why my mother & sister loved this show so much. My three favorite characters were Jackie Zeman, Tony Geary & Genie Francis. It's interesting how they were all related on the show. You never became bored watching General Hospital. I remember every Friday it left you with a cliff hanger, you couldn't wait until Monday to see what happened. The best thing about soap opera's is there are never no repeats. My condolences for Jackie Zeman, the show will not be the same without her. Rest In Peace..

I'm broken hearted, was a member of her 1980 fanclub and still watch gh to this day. I am ten minutes from Bergenfield nj, she would come home for holidays every year.

The character of Bobbie Spencer is very popular and beloved by fans, and is one of the reasons why this soap opera has survived fir so long and is still so popular.
