    Note to self: don't watch this channel on a Friday night after cracking a few beers open. My head hurts!
    I'm going to watch this again, pause it and work some of these chords out myself. 😂

    Thank you for this video. I added a C on the low E string, and an E flat on the A string and came up with a cool kind of spy movie theme song progressions. That's not at all what you were getting at but that simple initial pattern gave me inspiration and I ran with it.

    First arpeggio is in the D minor master key, follow my L-MALIDP system for total neck breakdowns. Follow the D root note with Aeolian diatonic scale at the 10th fret low E to see and hear.

    Dude this is awesome. Marty Friedman loves this shape and use over all sorts of chords. I'm sure he's doing something similar. Anyway I love moving the same arpeggio shape over changes, it creates interesting sounds without a lot of effort finger-wise

    Maj7b5 is the hidden chord of the major scale. Not alot of people know about or discuss this chord. It can be used as the IV chord. Its on the root of lydian.

    • @QJamTracks
      @QJamTracks  10 місяців тому

      Yes that's true and a beautiful sound on that 4th degree (F-A-B-E in C major). Many people will play it as Fmaj7#11.

    We are on a similar track with this. I have been using the MaJ7#4 chord a lot recently. And, if you add an F to these 4 notes you have a D Hirajhoshi scale, which I have been working with deeply for years. This is cool I will play around with it. Thanks!

    • @QJamTracks
      @QJamTracks  10 місяців тому

      The Hirajhoshi scale is a wonderful scale indeed.

    It's an awsome presentation and extremely well explained. Nevertheless Even I understand it when watching, i guess I can't transfer this to another ii V i due to this massive complexity in detail

    • @QJamTracks
      @QJamTracks  10 місяців тому

      If you want to transpose it to another key, simply change the position of the arpeggio on the neck of the guitar in order to match the root arpeggio shpae with the root of the chord that you ar playing over...

    Or just learn the appropriate scale and arpeggio for the chord.

  • @40pianos

    Interesting insight but I wish you'd play the arpeggios without all the reverb. It's hard to hear the notes clearly against the chord.
