I think us Bucs fans have all pretty much accepted the "we're just happy to be here" mentality. Few of us walked into this season expecting to make the playoffs and potentially have our QB of the future land in our laps the year we lose Brady. Let's ride this pony as long as possible and get ready to do it again next season. I'm just happy to be here.

The only reason I thought we'd make it to the playoffs is because our division is crap. But I knew we'd have a decent year because we have Baker and Mike Evans together.

Lions cannot take the Bucs lightly. The Bucs are a division champs as well as the Lions. Lions need to bring the same intense focus against the Bucs as they did for the Rams. I also believe Ford Field is going be rocking again. Go Lions One Pride.

This does not mean they can't win tomorrow. They can. I don't think they will, but it's possible.
"Division champs" means nothing in the current system. When you can have a home playoff game with a losing record, something needs to change. Yes, TB didn't have a losing record this year, but it's happened and it will happen again.

Couldn't be happier for the Bucs and Mayfield. From what we thought this season would look like to now playing in the divisional round, its more than we could've ever hoped for. I hope we win the game, but something just feels like the stars are lining up for Detroit. Hoping for great game either way! Go Bucs!!
They have a really good defense and an explosive offense, there’s always a decent chance with that combo

As a Bucs fan, I expect us to win this game. It’s not week six anymore. We are totally different team. We are way better than we were when we played the lions last time and to be honest, we beat ourselves in that game.

The Lions team is also much different. Much healthier. More in rhythm. With additions of Gibbs and Montgomery and a healthy online, explosive offense, a defense that can pick off Baker as well as get home to him with the added addition of coming to Detroit at Ford Field in hostile territory with crowd noise that will be so deafening it will be difficult not prevent a lot of offensive penalties and burned time outs which will happen all.. game.. long.

Yes Bowles blitzes but his defensive game planning adjustments is underrated. He will not attack Goff like he did Hurts. I expect a lot of looks to bait Goff. LB Kj Britt should have a big game!

I think most anyone would agree that Lions should win. That also doesn’t mean they can be complacent either. If they both play a good game though, I think the Lions win comfortably, they are just that talented.

Bucc’s have a chance if they can stop the run and pressure Goff. His weak spot is when he’s pressured. That being said I wholeheartedly agree the Lions are a way better team than Philly and will have a much better plan to stop them. While I’m rooting for the Bucc’s to win I have to give the edge to Detroit for being a more balanced team. I expect a close game coming down to the last possession.
Never overlook the team that’s having a ball, glad to be there and has nothing to lose.

My fear as a Lions fan (and it's a small fear but there nonetheless), is that we lay a turkey egg like we did on turkey day. I doubt Dan will allow that to happen a second time but the fear is still there.
They definitely won't be flat. But they may get scared - so much expectation and pressure to make the conference game. Still, after beating the Rams, who are frankly a better team than the Bucs, they ought to have some belief in themselves. One test they never faced in that game, however, was going behind. That may happen against the Bucs, and they need to be ready to deal with it, stay calm, and play their game.

The eagles were 1-5 in their last 6 games in the regular season. The Bucs put the smack down on them but the eagles imploded down the stretch. We shall see. I’m not writing off the Bucs but I expect the lions to win.

I’m a Bucs fan and I couldn’t believe how the Eagles had no blitz busters. Their receivers didn’t even look back to the QB much less adjust their routes. Looked like they were just going through the motions. Crazy.
Philly didn't want none of that. We were too fast, physical, and determined, and the Eagles didn't really care to even be there.

The Bucs-Lions game this week is the game to watch. I think it will be closer than a lot of people think. Either team can win. I am a Lions fan but I would not be surprised if the Bucs steal this one.

Pressure is all on the Lions. They may have the better weapons on paper, but psychology is a BIG part of the postseason, and the Lions had better be ready to cope with going behind at some point in the game, and not buckling.
They've had comebacks wins throughout Campbell's tenure. If the Bucs take a lead, the Lions won't panic.
As a lions fan I think this is going to be a tough game. We can run but TB is really good at stopping the run. Baker is playing well and they have Evans and Godwin and our secondary is ROUGH. The lions will likely be successful stopping the bucs run game. I think it comes down to a bit of home field advantage and if Goff and the offense can handle the pressure and win in the air. We are NOT sleeping on the bucs...could go either way

Lions fan. We still have too many weaknesses to take any team lightly. Might have handled them early in the season, but .. 1. both teams are playing completely different ball than then... with different players healthy.. 2. Even back then.. Baker did a good job of getting rid of the ball before getting sacked, and our secondary got lucky but was (and is) suspect.. more than a couple times Evans or one of his cohorts was free alone beyond his defender, only to drop the ball or have it go just out of reach.. That said, if Lions can hold on to the ball, and play complimentary football, with the crowd behind them.. i like our chances this weekend.

Lions fan here, I think it will be a similar game to the Rams AKA a great offensive shootout.
I think it's similar to the first meeting. Despite the Bucs pass defense, they give up very few points. One of the better scoring defenses in the league. Something like 24-17 Detroit. An offensive "shootout" would be very un-like a Tampa game. They gave up 39 to HOU but the next most was 27 and they average about 19 ppg against. This doesn't "sound" like an offensive fiesta in the making.
I dont think it will be an absolute shootout. But I think it’s going to be great boxing match.

I'm a Buccaneers fan since 1982 & the strike they had & losing Doug Williams to the then Washington Redskins but I like Jared Goff & Baker Mayfleild & it's a shame that one of these two great teams that one of them has to lose! I'll route for Lions even if my Buccs lose because of Jared Goffs redemption arc! & their origins being a former Southern Ohio man but both Baker Mayfleild & Jared Goff it would be awesome too see either one of them go all of the way! My Grandfather coach of the South Point HS football team In the early 1970's Curtis R. Bowman told me that in the 1930's that Ironton, Ohio was actually a roaring decent sized industry & City but when the textile & Iron industries started becoming more obsolete & the people moved out then Ironton became a low income town & not even a former shadow of itself & it's the only official City in Southern Ohio in Lawrence Co. OHIO but however Portsmouth. Is only about 30 miles apart but in another county but Ironton isn't much of a city nowadays but occasionally it'll surprise everyone & accept a new business but it only comes like as rare as a decade or 10 years lol

Not many know these facts! & that Michigan's only pro football team started out in two small cities in Southern Ohio lol & well tbh Portsmouth is a much Larger in scale & population than Ironton & allows better business opportunities in it!
They never credit Ironton for it lol & the HS football in that city the Ironton Fighting Tigers has actually won at least 2x State Titles their as I know of but anyways Ironton had always been a huge football town but Portsmouth has some good HS football teams their as well but I find it very interesting that despite the fact that the original city of the Loins organization was technically in Ironton but I understand that the move & transition was from Portsmouth to Detroit & the name change took place in that move & Ironton didn't have the team nowhere nearly as long as Portsmouth so that is why it's a technicality lol but not very many people have this information

Exactly. Unlike some teams (New Orleans) who are ALWAYS in cap hell, we were able to be successful in the midst of it and getting CLER of it, at the end of the year. It's been a helluva season for us Buc fans. Couldn't have gone much better. GO BUCS!

The NFL wants the Buffalo Bills and the 49ers to be the faces of the NFL. I guarantee calls will go their ways in both games this weekend. I’m talking about those times teams complete a play to get a 1st down on 3rd down. Look at every single game when these teams play. There is NO way these calls only occur on these plays. This is what wins and loses games. Not a 5 yard penalty on 1st or 2nd down.
